Tip: if you hover you’re scoutfly cursor thing over the rotten vale in the world you can see a list of things like monsters and other stuff but if you look at the bottom of the list you can see it would either say piscine researcher or lynian researcher. This way you can tell if he is there or not

So what do you do if the reseracher doesn't appear? I have completed the story and am now after tempered monsters and have known about this quest from early on but so far it's the only one that hasn't or won't activate.
What i dont like about the plunderblade is that you have to whistle for him to use it and stop attacking for a momment is there a fater way to do that ?
Wyatt Gerlach go into expedition and look at the field researcher in the description of high and low rank expedition eventually it will say “Lynian Researcher”
I personally had to complete 14 story missions before Odo would spawn in the Vale during free roam for me. Anytime before that and he just flatout wasn't even spawning on the map at all. So unless I just got really unlucky with his spawns, beating 14 campaign missions before you go for the Plunderblade might be the key to triggering Odo to spawn on the Vale map during free roam.
PliskinHunter u dont go the same way as the odogaron instead just start off at camp 1 and waypoint him on your map itll take u directly to him in like a min
Is this an exp or is this a specific quest? Honestly, I like his vids, but very often I feel like he talks TOO much abt things that doesn't relate to the topic. And whatever that's on the topic is left unclear...
Jesper Q expedition dude Seriously? He didn't say to start a specific quest... which implies that it's a random encounter.. which means it can happen in expedition lol
Thehimself93 I'd hate to be cocky here, but if that's your complaint for a source of entertainment, than I honestly couldn't justify your opinion on a subscription.
I love this thing. It basically laughs in the face of Capcom's imposed 20 minute expedition monster timer by allowing players to intentionally throw themselves at tough monsters (intentionally dying) while it's equipped to their Palico until the monster leaves (or is defeated). After that, you go back to camp and collect the FREE rewards. Consequence free. Which is funny. Because this very thing is what that 20 minute time limit was trying to prevent lol. People from throwing themselves at tough monsters until they eventually won via having no cart limit. But instead, it just means you can let your Palico plunder bosses for 20 straight minutes with NO consequences (even if you die - repeatedly) and STILL walk away with the loot even if you didn't beat the monster. I find that hilarious. They wanted to prevent scrublord tactics due to not having cart limits. But put something in the game that allows you to exploit expedition mode's lack of cart limits lol! GG, Capcom.
Well, yeah. Obviously lol. I never said it was efficient. Not sure where you're getting that from. I said it was funny. Because it lets you walk away with free stuff even if you lose, consequence free. Which kind of spits in the face of the 20 minute limit on expedition monsters. Ofcourse it's faster to just kill them. Or at the very least, try to. Or better yet, capture them for the increase in rewards (assuming it's not one of the 7 elders). Plus, this doesn't work on anything you need to break or sever (like horns and tails) which are needed for some of the best stuff in the game.
