All that slashing and Mash's body suit is still intact. Makes me think of this theory based on that. Mash is actually not a no-liner. His wizard lines is not on his face but on his body and he has so many and drawn tightly beside each other it now looks like his body suit. And his magic is actually muscle magic.

From how he's talking, it's likely a skill barrier, & someone like that double-liner Silva that Mash whooped can't use it, or (since you've already seen that upcoming episode) the other fallen Magia Lupus members who apparently couldn't use it. Wirth's got the skill to use the Secondth, he just doesn't have the fuel. It'd probably be smart to assume Lance might have it, but when most of your examples show one needs an artifical boost to bring it out, it's understandable why he'd think Lance can't.

Mashle's parents also abandoned him. Currently, his adoptive grandpa is the only normal parent so far.
