Going to buy new pedals tomorrow, spent all day looking at what's good and ya'll came out as the most recommended composite flat by actual humans that actually ride lol. I'm sure I'll also be 28% happier on my new Defttraps.
I'm 28% happier when I ride with my Diety pedals on a 52 lb giant trance x emtn bike. Going up 8 mi to 10,000 ft means you got to get in the cadence and just use the torque slowly and you can really feel the pedals when you get used to them. On the same downhill you get going so fast that you really want a platform you can trust.
Great video. Can a washer be used to shorten the pin length? Any ideas on how to reduce the sharpness of those pins? Any chance of developing a pedal with all plastic molded in pins just like the two on this pedal (I think there would be market for them)? I am ok with the stock pedals on my Fuse Comp, but just like your video I would like more surface area front-to-back (toe-towards-heel), the longer the better for how our foot is designed to push (e.g. like if you do heavy squats or leg press machine -- very bad to push at the balls of your feet).
For the average rider this peddle is durable enough. So what if it wears away after a year of heavy use you can afford to buy a new one bc of its price point
I've done like 20 hrs research, ehhhrrr! On pedals, these are the best. Especially for my size 13 foot. One up pedals say, their pedals are convex for the arch of your foot, who rides with the arch of the foot anyway??? Load of Shiite.
