I love how you talk about revisiting familiar locations. With all the travel restrictions I've lived under for the past two years revisiting sites dozens of times throughout the year has kept me motivated and sane. While the location is the same, there are 365 different days, 24 hours on each of them, and 4 seasons of incredible weather. Now add in the angles, perspectives, textures, and more, the possibilities are endless!
You really have done rather well on you tube Kim. Your subscribers have so increased since I first found your channel. Well done you and keep up the good work.
Lighthouse and rainbow is something very special. You have to be in it to win it. Planning can be important in capturing images, but the best are often unexpected. Only by being out there will you succeed. Keep it going.
Fantastic pics there! I took almost a day and a half to watch this vid as every pic you put up inspired me to go look through my catalogue and edit some! Misty shots always inspire me but the last shot is incredible. I hope to get one like that one day!
Thanks for another great year, I have really enjoyed your work. I saw your interview where you speak of people who are not kind, don't let them take happiness away from you. You should never give them that much power. Looking forward to seeing you all year long in 22. Take care and have fun.
Hi Kim, 10 fantastic photos. For me the lighthouse at sunset in the waves is stunning. A truly amazing shot, you should be very proud of this one 👍🏻👍🏻😊
Kim You make me want to go to Scotland with your photographs hopefully in the next few years after COVID. Kim thanks for your inspiration and hopefully a better 2022
Hi Kim, Thank you for sharing your photographs of the locations throughout the year. Fantastic images, i loved them all. I look forward to seeing your next video of the shoot you did for Nikon.
Hi Kim, 10 fantastic photos, love them all. For me though the lighthouse at sunset in the waves is out of this world, it’s an amazing shot and one you should be extremely proud of 👍🏻👍🏻😊
Wow what photos, my fav would be the foggy trees and the two lighthouses. I’m really enjoying your photography journey, look forward to whatever this year brings.
As always Kim, God willing we will do this and that. As always a hallelujah shout-out to the beautiful locations and testy weather you encountered, and the creative gift you practice through your photography. The light in your soul shines like those lighthouses you love into the darkness of the night... to guide
Wonderful images and enlightening commentary, Kim! Each one of your pictures is a story told in such a natural and passionate way. It’s very hard not to pick up a camera and go experimenting. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Addicted to 'Sand Photography' I just love your shots ! I live close to the beach so you can imagine where you'll find me. See the light play on the sand in colour and ,more importantly, in b&w !
Excellent photos Kim thank you for sharing them really enjoyed your video. Also have a Happy New Year for 2022. Will look forward to seeing more of your videos this year
Always enjoy your images and hear you describe the challenges of the environment and the technical choices you make. Your positive attitude of making the best of what you have to work with is inspiring. It's truly a metaphor for life in these times. You brought forth such a wide variety of subjects, which kept me looking forward to each new adventure. Deeply appreciate the contribution to enrichment of my experience in 2021, Kim. Thank you so much. I agree with your top 10 choices for the year...wonderful to reflect upon these. Your 2022 lighthouse calendar is hanging on my wall set to January - ready and waiting for the New Year. Looking forward to it! Wishing you all the best!

Image no 5 really resonates with me Kim! Your ICM images this year were wonderful and definitely some of my favorites I've ever seen. Looking forward to more amazing images and videos in 2022! Cheers, Chris
Hi Kim it's been a difficult 2 years but watching your channel is a joy you've managed to bring some stunning scenery and great images and wonderful presentation wishing you a happy new year hopefully it can only get better for all of us thank you Kim
What a great way to finish the year, Kim. A superb collection of 10 spectacular images, my favourite was the trees in the mist. I had a good year too, also a year of photography growth for me that you helped in no small way to inspire. I’m looking forward to 2022, to go on and develop further. Please keep up the fantastic work you do to continually inspire us to get out and about with our cameras and embrace our own photography adventures. Happy New Year to you!
Great year Kim! Looking forward to enjoying the new year with your channel. Your changes are great to experience! Thanks for allowing us to tag along for the ride!
Awesome images Kim. the dunes, the ICM and the Ice image are amazing, thats the type of stuff I love to shoot, thanks for sharing and a very Happy New year to you, looking forward to seeing more of Scotland in your videos next year.

Thank you Kim for sharing these beautiful images and for all the inspirational vlogs that you have produced this year. I have certainly learnt a lot from you and I'm sure I will continue to do so. Its been a pleasure to watch your adventures 😊
Thanks so much Kim for sharing your best photographs of 2021 :) & all of your thoughts about the images. That feeling when they mean so much to you is quite magical really. Fabulous. Wishing you a very Healthy & Happy 2022. Debbie :) x
Nice set of shots! Great to hear your thoughts on each and how they came together. Plus I appreciated the tips on changing up our own photography. Really liked Yin and Yang, and the frozen macro image!
Great to see what you consider your top 10 images from this year and the reason behind your selection. I loved Bow Fiddle, stunning location, but my favourites from today were your two lighthouse images. Thanks again for all your hard work in producing this channel and entertaining and enlightening us all in the art of photography Kim. All the best for 2022.
Really beautiful images Kim. I love them all but the one with the seaweed on the beach stands out for me. Picking your top 10 is a good exercise to do and I intend to give it a go. My problem can be picking images that I actually like. I tend to be hard on myself as a photographer, something I need to work on. I have really enjoyed your videos and I'm delighted to have found your channel. You are very inspirational, particularly in the way you love to experiment and challenge yourself to do new things. Happy new year and I look forward to following your adventures in 2022.
Many thanks Kim for all the great videos you brought to us in the past year. Must say one by one beautiful pictures but maybe if i have to choose the lighthouse picture with reflections in the pond and the rainbow was my favorite one. Wish you a New Year full of joy, happiness, new photography adventures and stay healthy
You have come a long way this year with your channel. Your skills in presentation shine through. Just as your photograpy skills have really blossomed. Thanks for taking us along on your journey, much appreciated. Looking forward to see what you will do over the next year. Also as a question, what light house would you like to live in, if you had a choice. Stay safe and new year blessings to you and your supported family.
Thank you very much Roy. As always your support is very much appreciated. Oh that is such a hard question. I've always wanted to go into Rattray and experience the sea all around me but I couldn't live there. Maybe Dunnet Head. Stunning views over to Orkney and plenty of wildlife
Hi Kim.There are 100s of channels covering photography.None of them are as down to Earth as you or as informative as you.Well done. ICM I love thanks to you .. Keep up the good work your inspiring. Happy safe healthy new year x
Thank is very kind of your George. Thank you very much. I always try and be as genuine and open as I can be. Glad you like the channel. Have a great new year and I hope 2022 is kind to you
Great set of images Kim, loved the sand dunes. Thanks so much for the time and effort you have put into these videos for us to enjoy and learn from. All the best for 2022.
I really like the Bow Fiddle Rock image. Stunningly pin sharp with silky smooth water hitting all those aesthetically pleasing compositional boxes. 😁 As for me, I'm proud of my first successful attempt at shooting the Milky Way on an island in Anglesey during horrendous windy conditions. Do you experiment with other styles of photography, like, for example Street Photography?
Hi Kim Brilliant top 10 photos. I think it would take me a year to go though all mine lol. Im hoping to get to sky in feb myself fingers crossed on a week photo shoot can not wait.
You should put your top 50 photos online and let people vote... the top 5 are very good but I think you played it a bit safe on 5-10. I think the close up of the ice is by far my favourite of those ten. I think landscape photographers think everything has to be wide angle but often the telephoto and macro shots are much more interesting IMO
Despite the challenges the year presented, you captured some amazing images. The newer direction into more closeup nature scenes and abstracts are a huge success. Wishing you all the best in 2022!
Awesome collection I need to rethink what to photograph in 2022 and avoid the common and see deeper into composition and objects.. The lighthouse with the rainbow is just stunning what a perfect timing of the elements. Happy and safe New Year. Fred in Texas
Thanks Kim, for a great year of photography tips, and your work. There are many channels like yours, but you do it for me, a great way to learn, your photo's are great, but your personality is also, together you provide a great channel. I hope you continue to share your work and tips in 2022, Stay Well...Andy
Your words and support is very much appreciated. Thank you for all the time you've watched my videos and the comments you've written this year. I am very much excited to sharing more with you in 2022
What methodology did you use to widdle down the amount of favorite photos? Did you break down your photos into genres and then select a few from each genre to come up your final list? Does it matter that out of your top 20, 8 come from autumn and 4 come from waterfalls, and the rest is whatever? Or, in its most difficult challenge, for me, did you just line up all your favorite photos and start breaking them down into your final 20 regardless of what they are? Thanks. I have much difficulty sorting through them knowing I leave some out even know I want to keep them just due to the subject.
I find the same difficulty in choosing. I did a calendar for friends and family this year and that really helped me to narrow down print worthy pics and ones that people would like to look at more than once. I can reccommend it as a way of forcing you to really critically think about your photos and how others would receive them.
