Hey there! Just discovering your plugin and I love it. In this video, you showcase 2 shape/settings: square and circle. The plugin descriptions mentions: "7 Shape presets, + Custom Shape option! Has this been added after the recording? I am looking very much to add footage in a PIP but it would have to be a rectangular format. I have checked your rounded corners one but it seems buggy when I am adding it to a compound clip over the main timeline. Let me know! Thank you so much for your amazing content! 🙏🏻
I bought this and it is truly amazing. I am by no means a professional editor, but this had me making a super high quality PIP video in like 5 minutes. Thanks for the hard work!
This plugin is sooo good! Saves sooo much time! For anyone else that is wondering - it works on any video! You do NOT need a Multicam clip. I was confused since it is always demo-ed with multicam clips. Thank you so much @TheFinalCutBro
Had a bit of an inception thing happening with a Dylan in a PIP editing another Dylan in a PIP. Such an amazingly useful plugin, Dyl 🙌 And a killer tutorial as well.
loving the idea of this for specific task coming up, and have a specific question for you lol: @ 3:15 showing the PIP essentially 'naked' without color border, looks like PIP video still has drop shadow? curious what type of control is available for clean cut-out here; able to adjust drop shadow parameters similar as other criteria? not sure i've asked this correctly but appreciate the input. (trying to match a clients previous edit format, and this is never a fun road to go down hahaaa!) and ofc love all you do for the community, i know i'm a better editor having been tuned into you for a while now, thanks again!
One of the main reasons I use Camtasia for many tutorials is because I love using my old school circle PIP for on screen presence while doing the demo (well, and the 60FPS screen capture is really solid and easy), and it is as easy as dropping a mask shape then using simple animate points. This seems to be about as easy so will have to give it a whirl so I might finally get my whole process back to FCP. Cheers.
Hey Dylan , love your videos ! I am working on a music video where I want to show people inside a bubble . Do you have any idea of what the best way to do this effect ? if I could get them to float along inside the bubble, that would be great ! Thanks Mike
@@TheFinalCutBro Have you been able to add the 16x9 option yet? That’s the only thing holding me back from purchasing the plug-in: I usually use rectangular (not square) PIP in my videos.
Can you do an effect that you can apply on any keyframe layers, where you can adjust & custom the motion smoothness such as accelerate, decelerate, etc.? Its like the custom titles, but can be applied on any kind of layers with keyframe(if that make sense).
Very cool man! I plan on getting this! I have an idea for a totally non related plugin. I need to start learning motion. We need to chat sometime. Thanks for making this!
This is great! Is it possible to savw the setup I make? Or is not possible? If it is possible, how can I do that? For more videos, like a template, is that possible? For example for video tutorials, a rectangular mask is possible? ❤️❤️
How do you make your little pip come back to fill your entire screen? I tried with de out animation but o got some black edges and does not fill the screen like you did.
That’s a weird consistent issue that pops up for people! Glad you got it worked out. I wish I could rely solely on my website, but that store also has issues. So it’s just a weird mix of both 😬 Let me know if you have any problems with the plugin!
Hi Dylan, I bought your plugin and it is great. I just have one question how can I use it with a multi cam clip where I sync the screen capture with the main camera footage? Thank you so much for your help
Thanks for picking it up!! Jump inside your multicam, add an extra angle, duplicate the angle you want to have the PIP, make sure the angles are synced, then apply the PIP! If you want to get super fancy, you can apply the duplicated clip into a compound clip, and then inside that compound clip, you can add even more layers. Frequently, I will add in a screen recording or something in the background. Let me know if that doesn’t make sense!
@@TheFinalCutBro thank you for the reply Dylan. I tried to add an extra angle but if I make some cuts than it gets off sync maybe if you could make a video about this would be great. Thank you 🙏🏻
@@TheFinalCutBro Thank you Dylan, that is cool but it is not really what i need to do. I have one camera that is the subject an another one that is the screen recording and I woul love to do the PIP in the screen recording with the subject
@@TravelAddictsLife yeah if you watch the last segment, that video shows how you might set that up! Rather than adding a background though, just change it out for a screen recording Instead. Hope that makes sense!
Hey Vinod! Unfortunately, that capability hasn't been added specifically, due to some conflicting issues with the other shapes. But you do have a couple options! 1. Use the "Custom Shape" option and create a rectangle of whatever width and height you'd like. Add it to the timeline, then select it using the dropzone feature found within the plugin. 2. You could try adding in the rectangle and rotating it 90º if you happen to be trying to make a taller rectangle. Hope this can help get you on your way! Feel free to reach out with any questions at Dylan@thefinalcutbro.com.
Hello! Do you know any plugin for FCPX that allows adding the counter function to the text? For example to create the animation of a counter in dollars that goes from $0 to $500. Thank you!
I am really close to pull the trigger Do you think it would be possible to animate the outline around the PiP? Like flames, neon flickering, a turning circle, something watery or toothpasty? I would loooove to use that
Hey Alex, you could apply my free Saber plugin over the top of the PIP to achieve something like that! Watch this video here - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GTSEh2Uya04.html
Hey Steven! Yes a rectangle is now included. This video was made before that update was added! Additionally, there’s a custom shape option, which will allow you to put in whatever shape you’d like!
I have bought like 5 of your plugins, but I always struggle with your tutorials being too scattered and giving far too much unnecessary information. Is there anyone else who has a tutorial on how to use this?
Bummer you think there’s too much unnecessary info! This video from friend Matthew O’Brien does a great job showing the PIP ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-emL-FjtRMiI.htmlsi=Vyht27mJ-Yt4AviJ This video from Rafael Ludwig shows a whole lot of them ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UEXKxoL0E9M.htmlsi=jlHqWdzmpOuromX- This one from Brad West does a great job breaking down the Pro Burns tool I made ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-67xbojbqpsk.htmlsi=3QvG07l_RFt7bce_ And also the other Dylan did a great job showcasing the zoom plugin as well! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-97-LH9-TyR4.htmlsi=g6i4mZkQrYYDBuAu Hopefully one of these incredible dudes has a pace that’s more your style!
