I got this compliment from randoms as I instigated a 4 sloop fight and convinced each other ship that I needed help fighting the other ones. I then scuttled my ship and watched the fight on a rowboat. They all swam up to me eventually after two of them sunk and I was bull horning the Pirates of the Caribbean He’s a Pirate song. They were all confused but chill and one of them dropped that beautiful line on me. I fucking love this game.

I love stuff like this, seeing people stand up to ACTUAL toxic players and give them a real fight is always great. PVPers are not toxic, and most I meet on the seas just want a fun fight and are polite or even friendly, and usually will not tolerate jerks that behave poorly. I've been saved by more than a few reaper emissaries from toxic crews, and have had to pleasure to aid newer players from similar threats since then. This community can be bonkers, but it can also be really awesome.

I knew it!! I've been burying things in the grass for a few months. It still leaves a bald spot, but if strategically placed it won't be seen. Glad to see I do have a good idea once in a while lol

I’m the unfortunate helmsman who is always left behind in the fight and then yelled at for letting the ship sink. It doesn’t make me mad but just gives me a laugh especially when I’m helming a galley

"PvP doesnt matter. You have to work as a crew" I'm pretty garbage at PvP for the moment, but I can patch holes and bucket like there's no tomorrow so I never feel I'm letting down my crew. If you're not thinking of those who sail with you then you're already sunk.

Good stuff. I might be a little bit of a troll, but when you stuff off toxic, I will bait you to show your true personality, team or not. They don't deserve to be in these seas. I want good wholesome fights, win or lose, who cares. And sure, trash talk each other, but only in good faith/fun. Stuff like "Na you suck, we're the better crew, we'll sink you!" But never in arrogance. Do it with a smile and hope for good banter back. Like Boxy stealing a Snow Wrecker. Guy was legitimately pissed but never let it affect how he talked to others, and knew it was a game, and instead focused on being funny with it and having some fun instead, saying "I'm coming for your goddamn ass...." but in a very raspy weird tone. Those sort of interactions are amazing.

Im casual and understand the risks but I don't get mad if I'm being sunk for my loot. That's pirating. I do get mad when I'm hunted though I have nothing for them to take. Hope the game doesn't go a complete pvp route though.
