Gold is a good asset to invest in but the idea that it has fundamental value is a myth. The price of gold is not being kept high because of demand from manufacturers, it's being kept high because of demand from speculators like you. The price will inevitably crash when people stop buying so just be careful. Again it's a great choice but diversify because it's not as stable as Peter Schiff claims
It will always retain its value even Ina collapse because when the collapse happens and I believe it will very very very very soon it will be good to have gold and silver for when the banks do a bail in and take all our money bail in not a bail out because when they jump start the economy gold and silver will skyrocket in price and you will be able to trade it in for alot of money when they get the economy going again unless they go completely digital but even then you will be able to trade it in for digital currency but fuck digital currency

Nah man, I've literally just found a bunch of silver dimes, some other coins too. Thrift stores are full of random bits of silver and gold jewelry too, even mismatched. You know what you're looking for, it all adds up cheap. I collect the coins, and I got a buddy who likes to melt the rest down, and he's got a buddy for the gemstones. It's wins all around.
At the very least, I now grasp the concept of leverage. Creating wealth and financial freedom isn't as tough as many people believe. Building wealth and remaining financially stable indefinitely is a lot easier with the appropriate information. Be careful if you get your first piece. Bars can be drilled and faked usually filled with other lesser valuable metals. 10oz are good but many people start around the one oz round or coin area.
Finally someone who understands how things work. I want to like this guy and he truly does have his info right but I knew that he is preying on people who dont know any better on pricing. At the time of your posting silver was around $19 an ounce so for a $9+ premium is outrageous. Generic bars should never be more than $4-5 over spot. Again he has some good info and educated lots of people who aren't really familiar with the market but he definitely has an agenda.

Gold will hold it’s value but for a long term investment, it’s terrible because you can’t get compound interest. Gold doesn’t produce any cashflow that you can reinvest. Plus when you buy and sell it you’ll have to pay a few percentage points of the spot price so dealers can make money off the spread. I can buy dividend stocks and ETFs on Fidelity for free.
