Oh, I've been playing since I was active on steam. Rivals of Aether I'd my favorite platform fighter... without mods! The mods are sick, don't get me wrong, but it SO deserves attention and praise for the base package. Such well designed and thought out characters, I've grown to love them all. Also, bro is making fire content, lemme sub.

Dude this is sooooo true and real. I love everything about rivals, I’d actually say I prefer base over workshop (although I really like ws too). Every character is so well designed and feels like they’re all competitively viable no matter the matchup. Also thanks for the sub! More roa2 content at some point, mvs has me busy rn tho lol

I’ve played rivals, and it is smooth, basically easier melee without grabs, but until workshop support came out, there was nothing about it that really kept me coming back to it so I just went back to smash and have been having fun ever since.

I personally grew to love base rivals. I used to be a huge fan for workshop, but after learning the characters like Mollo and zetterburn, It became my fav plat fighter

????? Top 5 interesting takes I’ve ever heard. Slime as a mechanic is cool, but nasb 2’s engine and hitboxes still feel a bit jank to me. Roa2 is one of the most polished plat fighters I’ve ever played
