THE BEST POKEBALL IN POKEMON ULTRA SUN AND MOON - Catch them all easier! 

Clearly the most amazing Pokeball is the Beast Ball. GOTTA LOVE THAT x0.1 CATCH RATE!!! Especially when you use it on a Legendary Pokemon, like a Shiny Kyurem.

We need a Status ball which has a multiplier dependent on their current status.

Quick Balls/Timer Balls are the best Pokeballs... you're not catching legendaries in Nest Balls. If we use a Nest Ball on anything above level 20 then a Timer Ball is better, and anything above 15 a Quick Ball is better. You can soft reset legendaries with Quick Balls or just use Timer Balls. Also with the whole Adrenaline Orb thing going on in Sun & Moon, you're going to want to use Timer Balls for that. While the Nest Ball might have the highest catch rate multiplier, it's far from the best. Also didn't even look at Balls like the Heavy Ball if we're just going for what can benefit the most if conditions are met, a Groudon at level 1 is still easier to catch with a Heavy Ball than a Nest Ball.

The Nest Ball does actually come in handy. I've caught a few legendaries with it and I was completely shocked it worked.

I really like this video. For some reason I like to to catch pokemon in pokeball that kind of matches their color scheme. For example, I caught my Aelf with a great ball. Anyone else does that? Or does the opposite?

Just saying, the nest ball isn't good for catching legends, i used a catch calculator and the chance of catching a 3 catch rate pokemon with nest is 3.5%, the same as a poke ball, while timer is 9% after 10 turns. Nest ball is good for low level pokemon.

I used to stock up on ultra balls when I first played Pokémon. It wasn't until my irl friend advised me to use the other type of Pokéballs, like the net ball to catch Kyogre.

I wouldn't recommend casually telling players to change their 3DS time to use Dusk Balls without also informing them of the negative effects of doing so. Kind of irresponsible there.

Thanks for the info :) I wonder if the Heavy ball works as it say or if ultrabeast are just too hard to be catched in anything but beast balls. I tried to catch a stakataka 8 times in a heavy ball and even though i used roto catch, put the stakataka to sleep and drove it's heal to 1 (or close) i still failed every single time even thought stakataka is heavy as hell.

I once used a master ball on a Magikarp.

I caught Tapu Koko in a Beast Ball, just felt like it XD, and Lele in a Heal Ball, Lunala and Necrozma in Luxury Balls, I often just specifically want certain Pokémon in certain balls, won't settle for anything else, caught Pheromosa in Ultra and Xurkitree in Quick Ball and Guzzlord in a Luxury Ball because it matches his colors XD

I like using balls that match the Pokemon inside. Mewtwo in the Master ball since it has the colour match as well as it has an M on it. Umbreon in Moon Ball, and Sylveon in a Dream Ball or Love Ball.

For the fun fact at the end: In the french games the ultra ball is also called hyper ball, like in the japanese games. And so we also have ultra ball instead of beast ball, since it's for the ultra beasts. I think it's also the same for the german games

I know its a little late for this but in the French versions the "Ultra Ball" IS the Hyper Ball. And the Beast Ball is called... Ultra Ball (Ultra Chimères) . So some things may have the same name but in other Languages its a completely diferent thing, and in our case Pokeballs.

The thing about the Nest Ball is that I need a Poke Ball that's great for the Ultra Worm Hole. So the Nest Ball would be basically USELESS against Legendaries. So I really don't need or want the Nest Ball for that. But I could use some Quick Balls to catch them Quick (but it never really worked for me really), and Dusk Ball for the Legends that live in some caves (but there's always the Red Portals that lead to an area in the sky which is in the open, and I don't know if the water and whatever the Green Portal leads to counts.). So I could find uses for those when Legend hunting (but I still find Ultra Balls to do the job.)

It feels like it's now easier to catch legionaries in Pokemon Sun/Moon UltraSun/UltraMoon. I caught my Solgaleo using a quick ball in one time, while in other games that would never happen for me.

timer balls can be very helpful when shiny hunting! i use them when i do the calling for help method, since it usually takes more than ten turns to get a shiny pokemon. :))

Considering the sos chain mechanic in the game, nest ball easily pales in comparison to timer balls when you're IV or shiny hunting unless it's the low level pokemon you're after.

I knew there was a reason I tended toward Quick Ball on turn 1, Dusk Balls for turns 2-9, and Timer Balls after that. At night. Gotta catch all those high level mons in Ultra Space after all.

This is honestly really useful even now. I want to shiny hunt every legendary available in usum which means I need a shiny charm on TWO SEPERATE GAMES. So I'm gonna spend awhile beating two games plus their pokedex's. Wish me luck yall

How about for the legendaries?

When I was going against a Cobalion, I ran out of pokeballs from trying to capture it, but then I saw my nest balls, so I tried and I caught it on my first nest ball, and the Cobalion was lvl 60.

I just use regular pokeballs for everything... Kinda gives the nostalgic feel to me, the only pokemons that I do not have in a regular pokeball are the ones I breeded from a traded pokemon or my Guboi Arcanine who always gets a Luxury Ball

I didn't even blink at Timer balls in previous games but in UM I have already gotten through so many, talk about useful. Quick balls are so op it is almost depressingly funny but I haven't had much luck with Nest balls, could have a 20+ lvl difference, doesn't feel like it effects it all.

Timer balls saved me a lot of time catching all the legendaries in ultra wormholes. After 10 turns of damaging/using ultra balls, all I had to do was start using timer balls and it became super easy

Honestly, for the most part I go with aesthetics when I catch some Pokemon, for example I have a Magikarp in a Beast Ball so I can try and breed a shiny one to have a shiny Gyrados in a Beast Ball for the colour contradiction of the 'mon and ball.

I give ya all a little challenge as i did this since gen 4 only using pokeballs and i mean only using pokeballs for me it adds a little intresting difficulty also its so satisfying having all your pokemons in just the original pokeball

I actually caught a yveltal using a timer ball. It was my first playthrough of Pokemon Y, and I didn't know that timer balls had a cap to their catch rate, so I kept stalling and actually caught my yveltal in 2 tries.

I always, always save my master ball for the game’s box art legendary. In my alpha sapphire save file, I used the master ball on kyogre. In heart gold, I used it against ho oh. You get the idea, I recommend using your master ball on box art legendaries.

I love the nest ball. Up until wild pokemon hit level 30 it's pretty much the only thing I use.

I remember in Pokemon diamond I would only buy quick, dusk, and timer balls. Easiest way to catch the lake legends along side the box legendary.

I use a Smeargle with soak for catching, which makes the Net Ball great for catching everything.

I think you should have mentioned the fact that if your SOS chaining for that Shiny, the timer Ball can be of great asset

I caught a Lunala in a moon ball. It was really cool to me at the time.

You can catch any Pokemon with a pokeball. I have caught many legendaries in them. The quick ball and nest ball are also amazing. Don't waist your time on the others unless you want a cool entrance into battle.

When filling up a Pokedex quick balls are probably the best and it’s what I use, even though quick balls look pretty ugly lol, but if the quick ball fails I would weaken the opposing pokemon with false swipe than either just use poke ball, great ball, or ultra ball depending on the opposing Pokémon’s level.

One prob - Nest Balls don't become available until you clear Sophocle's Trial, so unless you want to trek but to Melemele Island with Charizard Ride and lob Nest Balls at low-level Flabebes or Mankeys, you're wasting your money because Nest Balls cost a whopping $1000 each.

Question: Do Net Balls (the ones for water and bug types) work with soak ur does that apply to the original typing of the Pokemon? Thanks for any answers

Usum was my first game where I actually used the Master Ball, bcs my shiny Cresselia ran out of attacks and I had to do sth xd

Quick balls are my fave balls it's just so quick and easy and don't have to wait 10 turns.

I never used my master ball in alola and then i found like a shiny floatzel and master balled it but then i found 2 more and realized it was really easy to find shinies in wormholes

I tend to focus on the animation of the Pokeballs, it's true. The Ultra ball is ultimately inoffensive and I will take the additional challenge over the Timer Ball... Like... Unless it's Dialga.

True data represented in this video. However, it's also true that at least 90% of the time, a quick ball will also catch pokemon up to lvl 24 so that's what I've always used.

Yes good video, afterall is a great idea to get all pokemon in the game and get the martial arts clothes and the nurse joy clothes.

For whatever reason, the pokeball with the highest catch rate (for me) is the regularass pokeball. I have caught most of my legendaries, from X to Ultra moon, with regular pokeballs. I dont sit there and spam it either. It usually only takes one- the first one.

The Nest Ball, by far, is great for shiny hunting. At least, for low leveled pokemon. I've used it for shiny hunting Noibat and Buneary.

I always challenge myself using pokeballs on all pokemon. Including the roaming legendaries. (The latter part sucks, but mean look puts in work.)

I don't know if I'm alone in this, but I always use my master ball on the box legendary, It's the stories biggest point so it feels right for me to use it on it. Plus, I don't need to have the worry of "when will I use this?"
