The Best Portable Toilet for Camper Van, Transporter Van, Campers, Camping.
This is the best for me, your circumstances may be different.
I bought mine from tamarcaravance...
I look at a few options for portable toilets, including Thetford Porta Potti 165, Thetford 335, Thetford 565 and bag options. Bivvy loo, bog in a bag. What is the best choice for ME?
Space is at a premium in a Transporter, so i had to choose something small. Will get it all set up and see how it is.
I like Thetford products, as i've used many in my caravan, so this helped my decision
What do you use? Have you got a better solution?

The @Staycation Lifestyle van conversion is coming along nicely.
I bought a VW Transporter T6 Kombi Highline van 140bhp diesel SWB with tailgate.
Slowly turning it into a camper van / day van with bed. I will also need something for cooking, cooling, sleeping, drinking ?? Choices to be made.
I have lots more to do though, I have a new electrical system, using Victron components and a Lithium LIFEPO4 battery, so I obviously need to install some power devices. I have a new sound system, with Focal speakers and ibus 2.1 amp, Playstation PS4, which will be removable, TV's on headrests.
Lots for me to look forward too and it would be nice to take you on the journey.
Please do let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions.
Vanlife for me is just beginning, it's a great adventure and I'm loving it. 😍

Great idea hiding the loo in the cube.. For years now my wife and I have used what is really a big bucket (30cm dia x 35cm tall) which has a toilet seat on the top and can be sealed by a tight fitting lid. I can't remember the name but they retail at about £20. We did have to buy a replacement seat some time ago. Cheap, efficient and it takes up less space than a Thetford . Ours fits into the rear of the T5.1. Being a little taller I feel that it is more comfortable. Love your videos, down to earth good advice, especially for those of us who don't want to spend a fortune on gear that we will never use. Many thanks

Thank you, I appreciate your nice comment. I try my best. That’s the beauty of these vans, you can do whatever you like on a small or large budget. What works for one person, won’t work for another. My toilet is ok for my size, but if I was taller or not as mobile, the low seat wouldn’t work.

The timing of this video is perfect. I watched your 'storage cube' video the other day and thought one of those would be perfect for storing my cassette toilet in my van. The next day whilst working a found myself passing Dunhelm in Truro and thoght...perfect, I will go in there and grab one of those cubes that bloke on youtube was on about. Well, when I got home I grabbed my bog all excited to put in the cube but ...oh no, failure. It was too big by about 10mm to fit in, gutted. Anyway, I was just sitting here tonight wondering which toilet would fit and was about to start trawling through all the different dimensions and hey presto, the notification for this video popped up 😃 so thanks for that bud 👍

Ha ha, brilliant. Love this, as I said in my video, if I can help one person. Well here you are 😃 I only got the toilet last night and did a quick video, so haven’t set it up properly yet, but it is the usual top quality from Thetford. Good design, well made and in the scheme of things, good value for money.
