I wanted to share my thought process, program design and coaching model behind our large group training (which used to be bootcamps a long time ago and turned into TEAM training).
I share our current model at Vigor Ground Fitness and Performance, where we do:
- Team Training (Large Group)
- Small Group Personal Training (up to 16 people)
- Semi-Private Personal Training (up to 4/5 clients with a customized program)
- 1 on 1 Personal Training
And then go into insights on the structure, program design, and coaching of large group personal training. I go into detail and give examples of actual programs.

Awesome video! You introduced some really helpful concepts. I currently run my group sessions for 2-minute intervals e.g. do exercise A followed by B then resting until 2 minutes is up. Repeat x 4. I like the idea of having 8-minute blocks though. I'm curious to know how you encourage people to pace themselves? My group like to rush through exercises rather than opting for heavier weights. Thanks for the great content - subscribed!

Hey Luka! I didn't quite understand what the Mode Grouping and the Complex Class methods were. Could you briefly explain each please? Thanks!

I'll do another video going into more detail about it. But complex class means we're doing a complex of exercises which we'd do for time. A complex is where you do a certain amount of reps for an exercise and go straight into another exercise without putting the weight tool/down. For example here is a kettlebell complex: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BAZZZbl2vEQ.html

Do you breakdwon the group? lets say men/women or begginer/advanced when they have to share equipment? for example a squat rack, so you dont have to switch a lof of plates between their sets.

Great insight . I run a outdoor bootcamp which is focused on strength and female only . Question. How do you explain the rest periods to clients ? Do you literally explain the reason for recovery. ? I find some don’t like to wait to start a exercise again and just want to get on with it 😂Hope that makes sense 👍

You mention telling stories a lot. Do you have a video about this or can you explain please?

I talk about it in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BYzLQUJ0RsA.html ...but the short answer is that telling a story that connects to a meaningful lesson is a way to get people to learn. We learn through story, not through facts. Read a lot and share memorable stories, share your own, collect stories. In the video I talk about 4 x 6 cards and about how I would prepare every day to share a story with my group sessions.
