Btw the seats are crocodile skin 😂 but I honestly think it’s crocodile embossed print meaning real leather but croc print but could be real crocodile skin very nice room!
food did look very small portions and I don't think id be happy with that amount at that price rooms did look nice thou suppose your paying for the location and if you a rollercoaster fan you'd love it
Totally unbiased review, you both clearly love the place, but are totally honest with what you like and don’t, that’s what’s great with you guys, total honesty every time.
You tell as soon as you walk into these good hotels it's a good one straight away. Love how management and owners take pride in what theyre doing too with the merchandise.

Nice as it is,they have a cheek though to charge there guests 10 pound for parking,plus that gym is a waste of space,,they need to do a survey to see if anyone uses it,..they should use that space as a mini day spa instead,u no,massage,etc.. I don’t think I’d stay there ..glad u enjoyed yr meal,.thanks though for the stay ..😊🛌🍛🍻☕️☕️

Wow, ten quid to park your car. That's a bit cheeky to say the least. But the hotel looked great. The room was really nice. And you and Gaby got to stay in your favourite hotel together again (along with your little man now) in your favourite place, Blackpool! That's all that matters really, being together in a place you love. It's good to treat yourselves once in a while whilst still doing these vids for us all!
Tenner at the imperial too.. but it's better then getting your car either broken into or damaged by drunks on the seafront. It's also for the duration of your stay. Tram prices are cheap for a 24hr pass and easy to access
If you think about it, they could have just charged 160.00 a night, this way if you don't drive your quids in and not paying for something you don't need, no?
Hi Tim, love your reviews but I don’t really get this one. £150 night for a hotel in Blackpool out of season? Yes the hotel looks pleasant enough but personally I would class it as “nice budget”. I also find it amusing that people would pay £150 but complain about £10 for parking, less than £1 an hour pretty much? I’ve been very lucky to be able to stay at a lot of hotels throughout Europe with work and also personally over the years. It really amazes me what hotels cost in the UK. For similar money I can book a night in a very nice boutique hotel in Berlin or Vienna. Find yourself a budget flight and it wouldn’t cost much more. As you say it’s not for everyone, but maybe cost is one of the reasons why a lot of people don’t holiday in the UK.
Totally agree, especially with your comment about the price of decent European hotels. £150 is far too steep for an out of season room in what might fairly be described as a 'pleasant' hotel. Currently, you can find a few five star beachfront hotels in MARBELLA (!) offering room and breakfast (with large gyms, spas and pools etc) for less than £150 in early March.The evening meal look really uninspiring and the prices were outrageous for average food. Most of Gabby's meal was made up of chopped up potatoes - not even decent vegetables to cheer it up. I work in hospitality/events (in Edinburgh) and sometimes despair about what is available to foreign visitors in the UK. And, the situation is now much worse thanks to the impact of Brexit.
Wish more hotels have separate sleeping areas for kids in their rooms. We're getting to the stage now that the kids are getting too old to spend the night in the same room as us (and we want our privacy too!) - the hotels in Butlins Bognor are designed with this in mind and are fantastic, and the since closed Cathedral Hotel in Salisbury (which was a worst rated that was not Britannia!) had this feature too in their "family rooms" (really 2 rooms with a connecting door and an en-suite shoehorned in for both rooms as it's an old building). Yet there's nothing in the budget range of hotels that has this - maybe we need to look away from the Travelodge we normally use and look elsewhere....
I work in a restaurant and we use QR codes for anyone with allergies and guide the guest through if they need for foods that may contain dairy etc or we have a very simple book. We are not allowed to chat to guest / customers as we’re not Drs and can have huge legal implications if we say something wrong. So as long as we know they have any food allergies we inform our manager and it’s down to the customer to get the right food. ( but it’s very simple )
My daughter is allergic to eggs, I didn’t realise the massive amount of food that contains egg. We were at a wedding in a big posh hotel, she asked the server to check with the chef if there was egg in the cheesecake, her reply was “ you will be fine , just eat it, if there is egg in it , it will just be a small amount “, I was absolutely livid .
@@audreymcleod4076 oh that’s disgusting she wouldn’t be saying that when a lawsuit heads her way. Everything we do in regards to allergies is very clear and easy to see and in huge bold writing we state we cannot guarantee that pizzas and items on the menu are dairy free. Even though 99% of everything is vegan friendly we just don’t take the risk mainly because we have different cheeses. And anyone who is a waitress or server should always get the manger in regards to customers asking about Allergies etc.
My last trip to blackpool ended on not so good terms. people say been there got the t-shirt, well i went there got a beating for no apparent reason...... will i ever visit again? yes.... already planning on my next holiday
Great review Tim. I have stayed at this hotel but I personally had a bad experience when staying with family. Our bathroom toilet was broken and the breakfast wasn’t good either. This was a few years ago during Covid so things may have improved.
13:10 she makes a good point, that's excessive and annoying, they should make an app that automatically removes what you can't have (dairy gluten nuts etc)

It looks to be a very nice place, but the daring side of me would rather stay in one of the dumps that Tim has reviewed. I'm not particularly tight with my money, but these upscale places have factored out all the grand adventure. :D

hi tim and gaby, just looking at that meal 16.53 WOW the potatoes are green and you shouldnt eat becouse they contain solanine toxin. The duck well it should of been fully cooked i thought it looked very raw in side Food Standards Agency advises people to cook duck thoroughly, rather than medium-rare, to avoid the risk of campylobacter poisoning. We hope you learned why you shouldn't eat rare duck.🤢🤢 I am not trying to pt people off or trying to get any one into trouble but be careful out there.....🤧🤧
This is such a good price. I’m used to NY prices and a good hotel is 500$ and up and the meals are 80$ per person and up. This is a great deal! Looks clean too! I love when you both review hotels. It’s a good perspective. Thanks from NY
I can see why it’s got good reviews. It did give me premier inn vibes but a step up. I checked out the website and loved the enhanced choices for your stay. I think for one night it’s a good choice but a bit expensive for a week. Thanks for sharing 😊
My daughter is allergic to eggs, anywhere she goes to eat , she informs them of her allergy and they tell her automatically what she cannot have, hotel are definitely not want the responsibility, hotel looks great though.
What a lovely cosy room you had. All the inside of the hotel looked very clean and looked after. What I didn't like at all was the exterior colour scheme. That washed-out blue is typical of a run-down seaside resort of the 70's, so it would give me a bad initial impression. Paining it white and calling it "The Big White" wouldn't work so well, so I guess it'll remain blue. :)
I would like to know more about the parking charge; is that £10 a day? If you were to take your car out of the car park to visit somewhere, after paying the charge, would you have to pay again when you returned? I honestly hate that way these hotels are trying to grab every bit of cash they can these days by charging extra to park at the hotel after you've already paid for the room there; it should be free.

We have stayed at the Big Blue numerous times and have actually been in room 432. You video reflects what a nice and homely hotel. The breakfasts are good but find the meals a little pretentious and expensive unless of course there is an offer on. The park view rooms during the season have an added atmosphere due to the noise of the rides and the crowds. Great Vlog.
@@steevobarker581 I agree, I am going to Dubai in August at the Premier Inn Al Jaddaf for 11 days, the hotel is £47 a night including unlimited breakfast, it is a smoking room, including 50" TV and fridge, with a pool on the roof and 24 hour Gym and room service, for the same nights in the premier inn Blackpool it averages £112 a night. It is a no brainer.

Stayed there for work a few years back, i was shocked when i got the booking paper work as they normally booked us into travelodge, it was very nice indeed, but i could not justify the cost to stay there if i was paying myself. The breakfast was also spot on.
As for parking I've been noticing parent with child parking spaces in a few parking lots usually next to my disability parking spaces. Here in British Columbia Canada.
Maybe the hotel building was originally a chain US hotel before .... explains the American style entrance .... before Big Blue took over 🤔. Certainly looks like an ex chain hotel

Thanks for the video, a little dis appointed with this hotel, thought the bathroom was sparce, worse one i have seen with your reviews, much prefer the blvd, and the branding of the blvd, much better, didnt like the view of the pleasure beach ride of the big one or whichever it was, seemed very close, and i imagine could be noisy in the room,but thats my opinion, you like it, which is the main thing. Poor practice to charge for parking when your staying there. Casper is adorable, and your a lovely couple ❤
Looks a good hotel nice room but a sea view every time. Why is it these restaurants hardly give any veg with meal winds me up! The payments for car parks, it’s seems that’s the norm lately 😏 Awww little Casper such a cutie pie 🥰
It's called rip of Britain a room like this is about 30 quid in thialand with breakfast and pool and very cheap meals free parking free WiFi I would never pay that price for a hotel again after living here for 10 years good content but very pricey in my eyes

Hi! Tim/Gabi/Little one. My comment @ Food Allergens is a BIG issue with the hotel you stayed. If there is an Allergic reaction to Anything Waiter Should ask b4 you order. Then Alterations can be made to a dish/Food. E.g Gluten free bread instead of Normal(A guest is Gluten intolerance). VERY concerning as I said as a Hospitality employee. Employees give you a book of allergens. Very unpolite behaviour. I thought a customer/Guest is the "KEY"!?

Looked a nice hotel but a bit too near the pleasure beach, people screaming around the roller coasters, no thanks, do they charge an arm and a leg for sea view instead! Got a friend who doesn't eat desserts, if he asks for something else usually only cheese and biscuits, but not a cheese lover, I shall suggest asking for chips like Gaby.
Everything looked great and there is nothing wrong with that bathroom, but there were those little irritations that makes me NOT want to stay at a hotel. I can live with the £10 parking fee, but not with the crampt parking spaces. The apples in the reception are great but only if they make sure to refill the bowl regularly, or there will never(!) be an apple there when YOU want one. If not, they would be better off with fresh flowers. Also, if you feel like going for a kebab after the dinner in the restaurant, then it should be priced that way and not be expensive. All these little issues makes me not want to stay at the hotel... sadly! They are SO CLOSE to be a real top hotel.
we did look at this hotel when we were looking at hotels...its expensive and having to pay another 10 pound to park your car...nah we have chosen another hotel...the room does look nice tho and it will be noisy in Summer...
I'm American, and I got a huge kick out of Blackpool, especially the Tower Ballroom, with it's WurliTzer organ. I wanted the "Old World" vibe, so I stayed at the Metropole, another of those Britannia hotels. I found it quite acceptable at the time, but that about 10 years ago. It's probably worse now! They still had the traditional fried bread at breakfast, but it's probably a good thing for my arteries that that has been phased out at most places.
All britannia hotels are in disrepair now, one of the worst companies now which is unfortunate because they buy amazing buildings and let them fall into disrepair

I have stopped in the big Blue l would recommend it lovely breakfast and evening meals the only down side it is expensive in the holiday season and paying parking a bit pricey.
Looking at those portions i think i would have prefered to jump in the car and drive to the toby carvery on the prom at lytham st annes save cash and feel full up at the end of the meal, which is indeed what i did when i stayed there.
Looks like a nice place, and in a top location if you wanna go to the Pleasure Beach. The prices are considerably cheaper on weekdays and they do a package where you get Pleasure Beach wristbands included, which is not bad value at all. Obviously the prices ramp way up during the summer months, and at weekends. Giving Gaby that book of allergen info was a bit of a piss take though! What they should do is make a simple table showing each meal and whether they contain any allergens. Nobody wants to flip through pages and pages of info when they're trying to relax and have a meal. They do a bar menu, which you can have sent to your room, which is cheaper than the restaurant but they could do with expanding it a bit IMO. There are 6 main meal choices, with only 1 vegan option, then they do pizza, but only 2 choices there too. Maybe most people prefer to eat away from the hotel, so they have a minimal menu.
Absolutely stunning Hotel Tim. You can't miss it, that lovely blue building! I love the set up of your room Tim it almost looks like a Lounge the placing of the chairs & the awesome Fire! Very cosy for winter evenings looking out on to the Pleasure Park which makes a thrilling view! Especially being able to see Blackpool Tower! A lovely modern Bed head & I loved the Red flowers in the wall very designer. Would absolutely love to stay in this Room Tim! I bet the Big Blue Hot Chocolate was lovely. Liked the Bathroom lovely & clean! And nice fluffy Face Towels! I love those warm orange lights at either side of your comfy bed. Caspers looking cute he really suits that Red Jacket! Someone could take that Gym as their own personal Gym with complimentary Bathroom included! Gaby looking very glamorous for an lovely evening meal. Lovely eating place downstairs 😍 Loved that Blue dangling foliage hanging down from the ceiling in the middle of the Restaurant. I wouldn't mind paying extra for a lovely meal in there if it's quite expensive. Starters looked amazing I'm chuffed you & Gaby did a food review. Gabys Duck looked very yummy I'd love that portion size too! Your Bakewell Tart looks spot on👌 £150 bed & breakfast in it's position in Blackpool is probably a good price, what do you reckon about the price Tim?
It was a very good travel blog today when you visited the best blue big hotel in blackpool and chilling out and relaxing in there aswell tim and gaby / Casper aswell
