I am so happy I found your channel. I just applied these rates to my Eachine AtomRc Seagull ... And it works so much better now! Super stable. Night and day effect. Thanks for the awesome tips!!!
That's exactly what I was looking for. I have an Eachine Seagull too and I'm super happy with this cinewhoop. The drone arrived recently and I made my first real flight just a few days ago, I uploaded a video on my channel. Can't wait to try these settings !!! Thank you very much
Absolutely amazing. Flying with GepRC Cinelog25 second week, indoor it flies smoothly but outdoor totally unstable even with almost no wind. As a rookie I don't understand what is wrong - is it settings, drone itself, pilot...
His settings in Actual Rates are 100 690 .83 pitch and roll 80 550 .82 yaw in the converter BF to actual rates My recommendations for Actual Rates Center stick 100, max 500, Expo 0.50 Throttle mid = your throttle % at hover (stick %) and throttle expo 0.20
@@derrymartalova7785 I was saying set your hover point to middle stick and add a .2 expo in your radios settings. But Do not worry about that. it was bad information. Its all personal preference. I hover around 20%-45% thotttle depending on my weight and battery, I fly fine
@@tomaszboril 70% or your stick is 120 degrees per secound and it ramps up to 516 at the last 30% of your stick. That sounds smooth with twitchy end points. but I'll try it on a simulator. It could be the next best thing since sliced bread. I'm flying 200 500 0.5 for a more consistent stick. I'm thinking 100 400 0.2 may be enought for my style of cruising and gopro shots. very smooth 100 middle 20% stick with the other 80% of the stick being consistant 400 degrees per secound.
Hi, Thanks for sharing. The screenshot is a little different from the description... RC expo in the screenshot is 0.2 while in the description it is 0.3. Thanks again
I just put the same rates on my tiny go fpv it is wonderful and the house no more hitting walls refrigerator and the doors I love it thank you very much😊😊👍👌
Applied them to my Protek35 and 25. Will test them later! Always happy to see videos about the Protek35! Although I think it flies great out of the box. Curious to see if you can tune it even better 😉
@DarthFPV can I ask you something off topic, please. It seems that I can't find real measurements of 25 and 35 on internet that is measured from end to end of guards. Would you be so kind and post me measurements of each, please. This is how I can decide which one to buy as I'm looking for one to fly thru gaps, indoor (not much I guess) and outdoor. Regarding the power it all goes to 35, but I'm wondering if there is much difference in size between them.
What’s the different between mid throttle and expo throttle in BetaFlight? You use 0,20 in expo but in mid throttle do you use stock BetaFlight 0,50 setting?
Stopping in to say, after many runs, the new rates worked like a dream. Moving from a light camera (50g) to a full-sized GoPro8, the drone became very hard to control smoothly. These new rates brought it back to being totally manageable. Thanks!
Thank you very musch Mads...these are the rates im looking for in cinematic slow flying im not a racer...tried it on velocidrone and it was much better that the what i thought was already slow rates for me which is sometimes to jerky and with uncontrollable speed. Thank you.
hello friend I have a proteck 35 and a proteck 25 I made your tuning, man how the drones were in hand I want to thank you in advance, you helped me a lot thank you very much friend
Hey man! Always love your video but curious about that first flying clip. You mentioned you sped it up a bit , which is fine to get to the point, but then you clearly slowed the footage down but claimed you were flying super slow with a 3.5". I could be wrong, but I am curious about that. It seems you can clearly noticed the slow motion when your turbulence lifted up the leaves and they slowly floated. Everything looks slow motion until you cross the bridge. That looks real time (again you can see the leaves). PS. I am going to try to test these rates out today ☺️. I wonder how they will feel on the 8 blade props.
Hey man, love this video just input the settings now and will try them shortly, it would be great to see a video on how your PIDs mix in with these rates too! Thanks again bud!
Thank you sooo much! That was exactly the video I was looking for, I just bought a Protek 35 and I will do real estate videos, I want it slow and smooth so I will try out your rates! Thank you very much for sharing! 👍🙏
Hey ! Thank for the vidéo, im gonna try the rates with my cinelog 35 ! Do you fly angle mode or acro for cinematic fly indoor ? And what do you thinkj about taking bad habbits by flying in angle mode ? Thanks for your answer !
Man I really felt like I was being handicapped with my whoop flying. Couldn't figure out how to smooth out my bobbling, which made all my whoop footage look like garbage. I will definitely try this out and see if it helps smooth out my throttle. Thanks much Mads!
@@MadsHalvorsen Heck yeah I did, and man did it help alot. This is the vid of me testing it out and I got rid of alot of my bobble. Now I just have to practice more to smooth out my throttle. Thanks again brother ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zUhnu1nvI78.html
Why is Protek so snappy in the movement? I tried your settings but it was way to snappy for me. Then I lower all the way down to 200 degree on all three. And its still little bit aggresive to me... I want my cinewoop to be as smooth as possible
Thank you for nice episode Mads, wondering why they still use Air unit instead of Vista. It makes a difference - vista is around 50 g lighter. Did you try to swap the digital set? Nazgul HDcomes with vista but lately they send it with Nebula Pro cam. Looks like the best digital cam (DJI FPV) is over...
Hi there! Thanks for that, appreciate that! I love the Air Units and for me weight isn´t too important! I have some Vista´s but haven´t been testing them so much! :D I wanna test the Nebula Pro cam!
Stili Mads, been using the stock rates and just get the muscle memory in. gonna Test it when the sun is up again :) have a protek 35 aswell^^ but never tried reelsteady will it work my hero7 and session5? dont realy want to invest in a new gopro since its working just fine.... for now :P
Hi there! It will work for Hero 7 but you won´t get the best results! It´s not worth spending 100$ right now with your camera´s, but if you have some clips you wanna test out Reesteady with, send them to me and i´ll stabilize them for you! :D :D
Love These rates man thank you If you could make a video aboutBest freestyle rates that would be perfect because nobody else will show we'll show the numbers like you have
Nice video, mate! When you fly cinematic indoors which mode do you use? Level, Horizon or Acro? I’m starting in fpv and my goal is work with cinematic specially for real state, both indoor and outdoor. Tks!
By the way i can’t decide about buying an Avata or a CineBot30. What do you recommend? I was about to buy the cinebot, but the full manual altitude control makes me worry and think about Buying the Avata, at least for real state
I'll give this a go with my protek25.. It's always been too jumpy and not as precise. But since having it, I haven't had a lot of time to get out and fly the last couple years. Fingers crossed as I get back into the hobby. Also, need to now find rates for smoother freestyle with my protek 35
@@griffey11 I haven't been able to try it as it's been a down pour, gale force winds up to 40 mph over the last few days.. It's very close to my rate profile 2, although my RC rates were 1.00, and my Super were 0.70 and my expo was 0.00 and throttle expo was already on 0.20.. I'll give it a go, but just spent 2 days reinstalling all the firmware on my upgrade Mobula6HD and those expo were awful, and I solved this by installing the rates from my Emax Tinyhawk and now it's very smooth. Might see if it works on my protek. RC rates 0.80.. Super 0.60 and Expo 0.60 and the last one is 0.20.
@@griffey11 So I've updated my rates, but only managed to fly inside. I feel the response is smoother when flying slow and steady, it's definitely different to my original rates. I need to take it outdoors to see how it reacts in an open space? I'll add the rates onto my Protek25 as that one is a jumpy quad. I'm usually flying full speed , freestyle and while I'm no expert, trying to aim for gaps has been me half committed and trying to not make a mess in my trousers as it's just so twitchy on the throttle and pitch and roll axis
@@griffey11 I've got an update.. The new rates worked very well. Despite I was still flying it freestyle mode, the quad was really smooth. The throttle response on my Protek25 was so much better, I managed to thread the needle coming out of a split S through my shed. Usually, I would have abandoned the attempt as I would panic and be fighting the throttle to keep it from hitting something. For those smooth cinewhoop feel, these rates definitely improved my slow flying. Cheers
Hi. I have a big problem with flying this drone indoors. He's still swinging him from side to side and it's hard to control. Do you think another drone would be better for indoor flying? It is important for me that he can carry a full gopro 10
Hi there! If you need a smaller setup I would get the GoPro Bones and use it on a 2,5'' drone, I have the Foxeer Foxwhoop 25 and it's amazing for smaller places. Unfortunately GoPro fullsizes are hard to carry with smaller drones...
I normally set shutter locked at double the FPS. So if i shoot in 30fps i set the shutter at 60 etc. But I have the ISO range from 100-800 if the lighting is changing a lot from indoors to outdoors! Shoot any questions if you have any! :D
Yo man, briliant stuff and feel even in simulator, cant wait for spring and testing outside. Do you by the way have the PID tuning protek 35 video somewhere? Was not able to find any, or you waiting for 4.3 to make new pid tunes ?
I would like to use the same rates that you use with your fpv so I can put it on my guitar 25 I can't find the rates that you used I would love to try it so I can fly slow
Testing right now, Mads. Indoor with my Cinesplore, but on Emuflight, was not that great for me. Ended up breaking one of those piece of shit ducts so had to stop. Took my Squirt V2 with the new rates on BertaFlight 4.2 outside around the yard and noticed an immediate improvement.
Dude i´m sorry to hear about that Cinesplore quad, damn... But i´m stoked to hear that the Squirt flew better!! Did you use stock rates before testing my rates? 😀
@@MadsHalvorsen My squrt was running was normal free style rates lol which is less expo (.20) and rates about 800. It's allowing me to incorporate a smoother roll and less yaw. Seems to be leveling out very nice in ReelSteady w/horizon lock. I'll upload a clip.
@@MadsHalvorsen Oh didn't know u got 2 versions of protek? :D Whats version are You using in this vid? What do U prefer better? I was thinking of getting 6s but it's out of stock atm.
Hi there! Good observation man! I used . 20 first but then later changes to. 30 , that's why it's different! I liked both but felt smoother with .30 😎 I'll update the screenshot ASAP 🚀
@@CloodyTube I kinda agree, but at the same time it does a little bit. Not for the flying itself but the consequences of rates. Like, when I was testing out diffrent rates on my Protek, it fell from the sky multiple times because too high rates resulted in D-sync... But for flying characteristics it doesn´t matter like you said!
