If you are already first tho, you can offer a scholarship off rip. Idk if id advise waiting on the top guys, that scholarship boost makes a big difference difference early on

But offering first can get you to a big lead and if your school matches their motivations you will rarely lose those battles. I get what you’re saying and it’s valid. It’s up to how people wanna recruit

Close to home is usually the biggest way to get top tier recruits to a lower tier school.

I think those pipelines, etc, basically decide the interest level and the speed at which your influence grows.

Almost to the transfer portal and have yet to get a recruit lol as liberty I can’t pitch anything other than playing time and proximity to home. It sucks hope I get another job offer.

My only issue with the red gem, is the long term ceiling of the player

@PoodleGaming that's all that I recruit from is recommended, and I'll shoot up to first on their board if I'm not already and down the line they will always choose the second team on their board. It makes no sense. Ever since EA released that update a few days ago it broke the recruiting and sim logic for me. I'm currently in my third season and in the first year I signed 30 recruits five 5 stars and 25 four star players, then in my second season (which was after the update) I signed only 11 players total 2 three star and 9 four star players. I won two nattys playing on Heisman

I personally don’t care for the rankings much, but I could be wrong. I look at gems/abilities/stats/interest when recruiting.

I basically start with send the house first on my first wave of important recruits. Then transition to hard sell once I can. I will only use the lower ones like dm player, when I have a clear lead and want to dial back, or i have extra points.

Ppl figured out the influence arrows don’t matter, it’s the amount of hours you put in to them, hard sell being the most beneficial as well

Yeah, base coach is OP right at start. If doing an online league I highly recommend you choose base coach, building a coach is very hard in an online league.

@@PoodleGaming I ended up going back restarted made a coach from scratch and dumbed myself down a little bit. It was getting too easy. I started only going after guys I really liked and fit the mold. But I did find a 75 ovr 3 star gem elite 96 throw power 95 speed QB with platinum field general and gold road dog. And a 77 4 star with same measurables elite but only had silver clear headed I ran a 3 QB played both of them their 4 games well the 3 star is about to start the national championship against Michigan for his 4th start. The 77 progressed to an 80 under red shirt and the 75 is a 78 under red shirt I got the tier 3 on motivator for them to get an off season boost. I may stick with the 2 QB system. The 4 star got freshman all American but my hearts set on the 3 star because he's legit has better stats just got snubbed because of the overall. He has his redshirt year still to make the freshman all American team though so. Also this class that's coming in I have 2 ot that are 5 star elites one has platinum road dog the other is platinum clear headed both with gold Oline rally. Just in time because I'll lose both starters ones a senior the one will be a projected 1st round pick. I may have to implement a hard slider set year 3.

Yep. Always need to look at the current roster before setting up your first recruiting board, most recruits won’t start day 1 over upperclassmen so you need to make sure you don’t go over 75 roster spots

I was debating this too and it seems like you should. I usually keep it and then toss a 10 point action on top of it.

Every season is going to be different. One year you may have 10+ 5 stars who have Georgia in top 2 interests, and other years with only 5. Every year is variable based on the class.

Hours will only come back if you take action of a recruit, lose / commit a player. The hours don’t reset weekly, they just continue to apply where you placed them.

Really depends. Players I must have and I have a good shot at, I’m maxing hours on. Players that don’t have many offers/competition, I’m taking it week by week

This is facts I recruited a 5 star Center with no Gem and had normal dev at 75 overall

@@PoodleGaming sorry another question. What do they mean when you have the objective "sign top 5 recruiting class"

If you go to the recruiting tab, and then scroll over to “recruit classes” you will see where each team ranks currently with how well they are recruiting. You can track this and try to land within the top 5. To be a top 5 class, you will need to do a great job of landing more 5/4 l/3 star recruits than other school.
