his 'best relationship' advice was fabulous. it's called 'taking responsibility.'

That "be that list" is such a great twist and an honest advice to apply tbh. Because you simply can't demand something from someone if you aren't capable of delivering the same thing. And if "you are" that list, then the process of dating gets easier because you get to save your energy.

Mine would be; Love yourself enough to have a defined relationship with the person you want. Make sure there's an alignment to vision and set your priorities right. You both should also be ready to put in work.

This is the best advice actually.Find Someone who really loves you and love them back in equal measure.For as you go through life you will realize how hard and rare it is to find such a person.

Someone who can laugh and roll with my odd modes and humor, who won’t get mad that I walk into stuff and forget things a lot. Someone who never makes me feel like my innate playfulness is annoying or too much or god forbid, immature in some way. Someone who genuinely wants to explore life, try new things all the time, and who is eager to please me. (Because I’m always the one that is more eager and thoughtful). Someone who is good with where their money goes, and who wants with all their heart to be the best human (and parent and friend and partner) they can be. Yeah, I guess I do have stuff to do before I am matched

Yes, that was the worst relationship advice. My ex boyfriend never made me feel loved because he never loved me inreal. He was with me just because I loved him, not because he feels for me. It was his first relationship, and one day I had asked him that why we are together ? He said that he have heard somewhere that "Be with someone who loves you, not with someone whom you love." That killed me from inside and outside.

Make sure you still have your life/goals/dreams, don't become just apart of someone else's life... Self love self respect comes first.. if you dont love yourself, dont expect anyone else to... .. if your partner doesn't respect you..than they won't/dont love u.

The first one actually applies to men, because men are incapable of growing to love a woman, they do or they dont, nothing in between. But a woman can grow to love a man, thats why its important for women to make sure he likes het more than she likes him. Its literally life saving for the woman, because a man you love more will annihilate you especially if youre self sacrificing. Ive seen it time and time again and my mother almost lost her life over loving my father too much.

Heard the first one many times before. I think I realized though, for myself at least, I’ll do more my part if I’m into the person as well. If I found someone who is into me more than I’m into them, I feel I would let the person do the relationship work more of the time because I’d have little relationship motivation. I think I see the appeal to have someone do that work. I’m sure love can be grown over time for people with one person gaining a persons love through affection and acts of kindness but I prefer a mutual more equal relationship in the beginning. Id have reassurance for myself that the motivation to be with that person and love for the other person wouldn’t be called into question.

I don't agree with the worst advice. I think it's okay if you be with someone who loves you more than you love them. Love doesn't happen in a single day, it's a slow process, sometimes you fall in love almost immediately, sometimes it takes you months and probably years.

Worst advice: Be in a relationship Best advice: Don't be in a relationship. Relationships I'd say is the worst thing someone can do to themselves. It's heart breaking and at the end there was nothing special about it. Because they'll turn around and find another person and you meant nothing. Everything you went through with that person good and bad meant nothing.

I loved him more than he loved me. He lead me on for 3 years and watched me struggling to always be the one carrying all the heavy burdens to make our relationship work. Now he revealed he cheated on me, and he waited until my birthday to tell me. After months of leaving me thinking it was something I did wrong, or that something really bad might of happened to him health wise. Dont do that to people. Its not fair. I agree with the idea that you should be willing to offer what you expect from the other. But people need to be loved the way THEY need to be loved, not the way YOU need to be loved. And you have to figure out how THEY need to be loved, not push your own idea on them. For example, I am extroverted and he is introverted, so although I would spend most of my time with him or with friends/family and don’t need much time to myself, I know that loving him is also staying away from him more than I would like to, and loving him also means making the effort to make room for him to be alone in his bubble. That is, offering him something that I personally don’t need or expect. He does the same for me: he doesn’t like long-winded conversations which I love, but he makes the effort to have them with me. We both feel loved, and although our needs are never entirely met and meeting each other’s needs is constant work, we both know how lucky we are to have found each other and how much better our lives are for having each other in them.
