This guy that runs this business is a dead set legend, he produces so much food thats always well cooked and he always asks you want more in the roll he'll do just that, no problems at all there is a lot of industries that pops in and gets his delicious food ,for us workers he keeps us going, for years , he really is the backbone of many of us workers well worth it and a lot of respect to for what he does.💯👌👌👌

As soon as this came into my feed and I saw the Title ..Best Roast Rolls in Melbourne, I knew instantly it was Tony's..I used to work 2 streets away from there back in the mid 2000s and went there at least 3 times a week for lunch and his breakfast is incredible too..Such a Great and generous man Im going to have to drop in again soon

Thank you so much guys for reviewing Tony’s, my partner and I live around the corner and we absolutely love Tony’s and Tony and his family. Just feels like family and makes us feel like home and super generous with his portions. He was on a break due to a surgery for his back and I wish him a life time of happiness prosperity and longevity. We will go back to Tony’s again this weekend ❤❤❤❤❤

Too bad I missed this place when I used to lived in Melbourne for few years (2003-2006). Here in Sydney you'll won't find a place like this. It's more salad than meat and expensive. 😒

Tony is a living legend.. Been coming to Tony’s since 92. I have seen this place evolve from a milk bar, to a fish and chipery and now to what it is today, but one thing has remained consistent is Tony.. Always happy, always generous and makes some of the best rolls roast rolls you will find anywhere. God bless you Tony

Fantastic place I have been there many times over the last 30 Years Tony is so friendly and remembers me even if it's been a long time between visits. Also his egg and bacon rolls are to die for so big hard to finish at times. Well done Tony you are a living legend.

I worked down the road from King of the roast, I can confirm that Tony asks “enough?”when loading the meat….if you don’t answer he keeps loading until there’s no room left! I asked him once how much meat he gets through with shop and catering sales combined, he answered “we had a good week just gone….nearly 8 tonnes.” Tony and his wife(I’m assuming here) are genuinely the most generous and passionate people you could meet… a side note on the lovely lady, she is always dressed and made up as if she is about to head out to some social event even though she is all day working, some women just have it and present themselves as a lady….my mother had it…god love her, and so does she. Great video lads, Tony also does sausages, kransky, and roast veggies on a roll or plate, burgers and freshly made sandwiches of any sort! I had to pull up on the King of the roast every day….even though I was only having 1 roast beef, veggies and gravy roll a day I was gaining nearly a kilo of weight per month….thats how good the food is, simply a Melbourne icon others can learn a lot from. Lived off Old Dandenong Rd just around the corner for 6 years in the early 2000's and can confirm this place is worth the visit. Tony wasn't lying, it's always packed with people.... the man is a champion and treats his customers very well. Go pay him a visit.

Just ubered 35 min there because of this vid to try. Jesus christ, it is genuinely the best roast rolls i have ever had. And Tony, my god. He is one of the most genuine, beautiful people I have ever met. So much of melbourne food is overhyped, advertised and paid/fake incentivised reviews nowdays. Tony truly is the king of the roast, and he is the real deal. Thanks for making this video and sharing this gem. Long live Tony, you are a gentleman, artisan and a legend in every sense.
