Very good. Very easy to follow. I appreciate the juxtaposition of a calm, well spoken, cultured, polite young lady - playing riffs by the Stones. Fantastic. ;)
You go girl. Love to see people digging on the Stones. Keith Richards is my idol. FYI, and anyone else who wants to give it a shot, the slide solo in Sister Morphine, played by Ry Cooder, is also in open G tuning.
Yikes! It always makes me nervous to tune my guitar to anything but standard or drop D but it was worth it. That's a fun riff. You're always bringing something new to the table. Thanks Ayla.
My Favourites: Brown Sugar Sway Wild Horses Can’t You Hear Me Knocking Bitch Dead Flowers & Moonlight Mile (I am aware that I pretty much just named half the albums songs but that’s just a tributes to how great the album really is!)
The cover band I'm in covers "Can't You Hear Me Knockin'", and it's a total crowd pleaser [so are a lot of other Stones tunes], and so fun to play...especially if you have a sax player in band. Well done Ayla!
Favourite riff? So many... At the moment it's Monkey man, followed closely by the whole of Tumbling dice... Next week it might be Midnight Rambler! Only recently I've discovered Ventilator Blues!
Ok..I love the music of the Rolling stone. I’m a 60 year old beginner player…for about 4 months now. I have an Inspired by Gibson Epiphone ES 355 (Cherry) and a Fender Frontman 20 amp…how in the world do I get that tone without a bunch of pedals or a using the guitar and amp that I have? I really would appreciate any guidance in the right direction…if I can even get close to yout tone
