Found it! Glad you liked it as much as I did! I agree with everything you said. Hadrian has become my favorite book character. Spoilers: Palino is my favorite secondary character in the series, but I'm glad he had his blaze of glory moment. Hadrian's "vacation" was very nice too. I want Crispin to show up at some point as well, that would be an amazing encounter.
That “Vacation” was so needed for Had and Valka, they needed a break, KoD was messed up for them. Pal was so great, it’s so crushing to see so many of them go. Though I do like Lorian surviving, he’s a good one.
