With the ballers his dad & uncles were/are still probably to this day I'm not surprised the kid plays with the composure he does. He's probably been playing against the top players in the state of Wisconsin for yrs...men not kids. Playing with guys a few yrs older than him is probably easy street. Amazing people will criticize athleticism when the best player in the world is not much of an athlete himself. And Luka sure ain't much to get excited about either. Neither is Curry. A guy named Bird never comes to mind when ya think about athletically superior guys either. Mullin...I could keep going
Thank God, I loved the zion team and some of the other teams we've had in recent years but we need to get back to what made Duke the best program in the country and that's the 3ball and defense.
He led EYBL in scoring. His makes rarely touch the rim. That screams top 20 to me. If you're going off eye test for athleticism alone, sure he lacks explosiveness. The rankings take into account production and athletic upside. If he had a 34 inch vert, he'd be top 3. As he still scores at a high level and he has grown man strength, I think a top 20 rank makes sense.
I’m gonna let everyone in on a little secret…this dude has been playing in his fathers men’s league which is probably the best men’s league in the state of Wisconsin since he was young…he plays grown men who were all college players. He isn’t raw like some HS talent. What you see is what you get. I think D1 acc will be a test but fully expect him to produce out of the gate.
@@johnkroeger9352 Chris Mullin (St. John's) not athletic, Kyle Guy (UVA) not athletic, but both can shoot the lights out looked what they have done for their teams? Kon is from a basketball family the real advantage is he has used to play in a much tougher conditions and doing just fine. He reads the game flow pretty well as a HS player and does not get caught up in tight situations and lose the possession eventually that's a big plus too. Whether he is a 5-star 4-star that's your judgement the point is I think he can quickly adapt to college games and contribute well. For a coach he does not need all players all athletic as hell he needs a balance team that's how you win games.
@@kohsiudai8196 - I don’t disagree with what you’re saying, however, Schutt didn’t get any playing time last year because he wasn’t a capable defender even though they had a great rim protector to mitigate penetration…. Good defenders or good size surrounding him too. Hopefully it was Schutt’s inability to defend within the scheme but it appeared to be more of an individual defensive shortcoming. We also saw it with Baker-teams would attack him constantly negating the benefit of his 3 ball. I also want to tread kinda lightly-these are just highlights and I’d like to see him in a full game before making any real assessments-this is the first clip I’ve seen.
You don't quite understand ball then. Bro is skilled beyond measure. Gets to his spots with ease, finishes most shots, and is composed. You'll be surprised
5 star? Thats the most laughable tag i ever saw. As soon as i saw the name and heard he is from Wisconsin i knew he was a white shooting guard. I barely can remember when i saw last time such an unathletic guy. Mid major level: Appalachian State or Bryant University. I hardly can believe that he is Duke material nor that he could contribute at the ncaa level. The 2024 class without Flagg is very weak on Duke standards. Im devastated
