⬇PLEASE READ⬇ Please correct me if this explanation is inaccurate: I've since learned that the resolution is what matters, not the size of the window. The smaller the resolution, the less pixels your computer processes- which can result in higher FPS. I thought that a smaller window = better performance, but that isn't necessarily true. When you're in windowed mode, your computer will render the desktop/whatever is behind the game in the background, which may result in worse performance. It may be better to run your game in full-screen mode and then lower the resolution option. It will help your game's performance, but I definitely wouldn't go too low as a lower resolution = worse picture quality. I would not recommend choosing anything smaller than 1280x720. This may not work for everybody- personally, playing in a small window was the only way my game didn't lag on my old computer- I physically couldn’t run the game in full-screen mode without my game crashing- just see what works best for you! I apologize that I didn't figure this out before I uploaded this video, but I'm glad that I know it now. Thank you so much for reading this comment & watching the video- I do hope that it was able to help (even slightly). Much love 💙
Merge your mods and cc. The script files can't be merged but you can change the name, the game takes longer to read spaces and special characters. The exceptions are files that start with a "!" (sometimes a 1), these can be renamed but you can't take those first characters and can't be merged. Keep a backup of everything for when things break or need an update and you should be fine.
I use Simp4sims graphics overhaul and it was wonders. It gives the best graphics on low and mid settings even shadows in laptop mode with no lag. And the new TS4 DX9 seems to run smoother than the actual TS4 and the difference is unnoticeable. Setting reflections on low also helps.
loading window games means the cpu etc had to load the desktop taskbar etc. by going full it sends just game to monitor. had issues with streaming etc and by changing this fixed it but if gpu cou is ok. my biggest lag on older gpu was rendering loops bloom and shadows bc pc has to work extra hard.
Thanks to you I realized my high plan isn't even available to use,it was entirely missing from control panel lol, but I used a tutorial to make it visible and will try to use it anyway. About 6:56 only once I made the biggest mistake to play in window format and you can believe me or not this almost killed my game and a laptop(it lagged the whole system,sims4 and gave me a blue screen mistake),may it work for better laptops with better processors/graphic card, but certainly not for me. 7:24 opposite for me,the more it will lag,but this is mostly my problem, for each of their own I have mostly medium settings beside sims which is high. Thank you for the advices tho, they are very helpful overall,I will certainly watch your other video about cc&mods.
Hi, I have ryzen5600x with rtx3060 and 16 gb ram. I tryed literally everything but game still run as shit. This is no problem with our PC, game is poor optimize and EA doesn't matters. Only makes dlc after dlc for full game price and game run worse.
@@Mauve1993it may also be because of the software they use to record. I never had lag since building a high end pc even with an unreasonable amount of cc and setting on ultra.
I have to be VERY CAREFUL about downloading from the gallery. It used to be on just builds but now its also on sims. Without fail, whenever I start loading slow if I start deleting what I've recently downloaded eventually when I get to the corrupted file and delete it then it loads like a brand new game and 10 seconds islong. ---its a noticeable and immediately annoying difference for me. Its like they're bad uploads from the gallery that EA doesn't bother to monitor.
No, it doesn't lag for me. It didn't on my old computer either and that computer's processor is apparently below the game's minimum system requirements.
Ove fou d from the gallery i kinds have to introduce one thing at a time. Some make the game lag crash and then report to Sony and EA who never do anything. Its something you've downloaded from thr gallery and once you delete ehater it or they are - suddenly it'll load like a breand new game again. I used to have it happen on builds. But now it also happens on sims. So --- when it lags bad --- it's due to something I've added from the galley in my experience. I dont know if it's people doing stuff with mods or what. Buy it brakes my PS5 game until I delete the lot or sim from my save file.
