Just wanted to comment that I have made this recipe now a couple dozen times and everyone always loves it and it is very easy. Thank you for making the video and especially for writing everything out in the description.
Yea! 🎉 so happy to hear that Actionwaffle, and 🙏🏻 thank you 🙏🏻 for sharing that with me 😊 glad we were able to share an easy family recipe and help you get delicious meals on the table for your loved ones 😊
I made this today, and it is fantastic! Flavorful, and tender and moist. I did sear the pieces before I put them in the crockpot. Thanks Annie for an awesome recipe.
Just made these, it was excellent! The thighs practically fall apart they are so tender. I made a triple batch more of the rub so I can just throw it on chicken in the future. Well done!!

Thanks for this easy recipe! I definitely needed something fun and delicious to eat while isolating because of Covid ! I had all of the ingredients! Yummy!
Hi Bryanna! I haven't tried this recipe on low yet, but checking to make sure it's 165 would insure your chicken is done and I would estimate around the 5 -6 hour mark. Thank you for watching! 😊❤️
I was looking for something a little healthier without bottled sauce or sugar but what the heck, this looks easy and delicious, I'll try it today. Thanks
I tried this recipe for the second time tonight. The first time I wasn't as pleased with the recipe as I thought I would be. Perhaps my expectations were too high. But I vowed to try it again at a later date. So this weekend I tried it again. But since I didn't have any garlic powder I had to do without. And this time, when it was done cooking I placed the chicken under the broiler (on high) for about 10 minutes before serving it. This time I thought it tasted a little better! What I was wondering was what you do with the cooker drippings after you're done? Did you throw them out or save them to baste another chicken dish?
Hi Nicole! I haven't tried this recipe with a different sauce yet, but it should be fine. I might change up the rub seasoning to match the garlic parmesan profile a little more, like a lemon pepper rub. Enjoy and thank you for tuning in!
Hey Eric, that's awesome, glad you're loving this recipe! Great question, I think the 7 qt slow cooker size I have could easily handle 4 - 5 lbs of chicken, and the cook time should still be around 3 hours on High. I haven't tried 6lbs because it would be too much for the size of my crockpot, but if you're able to stack 6 lbs in your crockpot and still have it be about 2/3 full, the 3 - 4 hour cook time set on HIGH should get you close to the 165* internal temp. If your crockpot is the same size as mine (7qt), borrowing a friend's crockpot would be a good alternate.
@@CookingUpLove Yesterday I just picked up an 8 qt upgrading from a 5 qt. I have been doing 2lbs of chicken in the 5 qt for 3 hours and the very last time I decided 3 hours was too long that setup if I plan grilling it. I tried broiler and grill… but I prefer my grill. At 3 hours the meat gets soooo fall off the bone tender, makes it hard to handle on the grill. But I will try out my new 8 qt on 6 pounds at 3 hours and see how it goes!
Absolutely, Ivette. You could use butter, olive oil or vegetable oil to grease the slow cooker insert instead of spray. It will help make the clean-up easier. The wings will take less time than the chicken thighs and chicken legs, check them at the 90 min to 2 hour mark. Hope you enjoy! 😊
@@CookingUpLove I did and they were delicious! For years I've been looking for an easy BBQ chicken recipe and yours was so simple and good! I just left the grocery store, I bought more wings for next week! Thanks!
Hi! I haven't tried that before, but I think using a hot skillet, coated with olive oil could work. The BBQ sauce has sugar in it, so just watch them so the sugar doesn't get too overdone for you.
Make sure to wash the meat . I usually rinse with water then place meat in a bowl with water, white distilled vinegar & scrub it. I scrape it , using a knife and thick 🍋 slices, for feathers and otner imperfections Then i rinse the meat AGAIN
Hi Bianca, yes you can preheat the oven to 425 and cook the legs until they crisp up. Use parchment paper or an oiled rack on top of a sheet pan so they don't stick or burn. Thanks for watching 😊
Hi Sulu, I haven’t tried this rub without the sugar yet, but it should be fine. There will be a some sugar in bbq sauce for a touch of sweetness. Good luck and let me know if you try it!
Noted, thanks Rich! They're definitely delicious straight out of the crock pot, just a little extra touch if there's time before getting them on the table. Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it! 😊
Hi Bear man, the first step in the slow cooker makes the chicken super tender, the second step is optional and just a few minutes under the broiler to get a little color and char on the bbq sauce. Thank you so much for watching!
Something seems off with this recipe. Add up the Tablespoons of spices she uses (8), that is a HALF cup of spice, not counting the salt and extra T of brown sugar she uses. For only 2lbs of chicken? I suspect she used a lot more chicken than that. When I did 3.25 lbs of chicken I still put it on very thick and had probably 3 T left of the rub. It won't go to waste I just put it in a zip lock bag for next time, but I honestly think something is wrong here. I watch her video she does appear to use a Tablespoon, so my guess is the amount of chicken.
