And, having all kinds of tools use to bother me. Like I didn't know what I was doing. But as I've matured and grown I understand the need for different tools for different jobs. It has not been a waste, it has been an investment!!!

Tool size is important to project size... It took me awhile to figure this out but... Many years later, I have a part of my brain that does it quick now... Cost a lot and many many tools later, here I am 🤔😆 no regrets.

I've been using that exact same Makita to mix my Mudd everyday all day long for the past 5 years.i got it as a temporary cheap option because my real mixer was stolen and I ended up just sticking with it.its the unsung old faithful hidden gem,Been dropped in Mudd buckets monsooned on ran over dropped off scaffolding and she just won't f'ing die lol

Tape buddy works great for small jobs.

One of the features of the MixIt is the ABS non-porous material. ABS doesn't allow material to stick so cleans super easy and ABS plastic is super tough. The mixer is designed for paint, drywall mud, epoxy but not sandy materials like thinset and sure not concrete. But I use it for these anyway for its size. Using it in thinset can wear the plastic but will still last a long time. The last tool test we did with thinset was mixing 3,000 pounds (that's a lot) and it was still going and never did break. There wasn't any paddle left on the corners but we kept going to see what it would do.

I use the stainless version of that paddle on a corded Ryobi drill. It works great in all my applications. I don't use the drill for anything else other than mixing product.

You can see how much easier for the electric drill than batteries, our cordless drills in Australia mostly 10mm ,3/8th inch, but looks interesting have a great day, wishing you and your loved ones all the best

I've burned out more than 1 cordless drill mixing mud. I don't think a small cordless can effectively mix a 5 gallon bucket so I mix in small batches 2.5 gallon or less. I recently got a 1/2 inch 60V cordless which can blend the heaviest materials.
