Ranger is weird like that. You always need an advantage to win any fight. I like trapping, I like ratting in the dark with double crossbows, third partying, and also setting traps for the druid-rat to die to in the dark lol, but it feels like you almost always lose versus a determined melee player blind rushing you.

i feel like that fight was pretty close and balanced...

dont let them run you down, prioritize move speed and setting traps. That ranger actually misplayed by not standing next to his trap to stop red from jumping over it, as you can body block it. The ranger could have also closed the door to heal for a sec. The ranger also should have had his getaway cleared and that next door opened so he wasnt trapped in the hallway

Well, the title is a clickbait like almost all build videos. This is not the best build for solo, best build is hybrid, but he needs the views. He's a big RU-vidr and can't stop the habit

I would just use them, can range from uncommon (Green) to Legendary (orange)

they removed uniques from tokens, so many people r waiting on their tokens but u never know if they will return so it's better to get some gear n have fun

Use them I got a 15k gold cape at the start of the wipe

Because you need to use a perk slot and give up a spell slot for ignite for it to become better than crystal sword

You have zap and lightning strike for when your duo is in melee range, but you can also throw fireballs when you get confident enough to splash only enemies or even hit him with the splash if it means you know the enemy will die already. However you should be doing ranged damage way before your fighter goes in so that the enemies are softened up when the melee breaks out to finish them off

10 spell preferably

Wizard is the hardest class to play and you'll spend hundreds of hours before you start playing good. It is also the most rewarding and fun class in the game when you learn it. If you have a lot of time to play and are ready to analyze every mistake you've made and gameplay of top wizards then sure, play wizard. If not, warlock is one of the easiest classes, one of the best solo classes and is the best for learning (and fighting) PvE because he has infinite and very fast healing and great PvE tools, bad in trios and isn't nearly as fun as wizard. Start queuing for HR as soon as you start destroying mobs in normals. HR has harder mobs, "black" mobs will have special attacks like double attacks and are hard to deal with but it's rewarding, you'll get good loot there. As of right now HR PvP is uncommon as people just farm AP there

@@xenird Probably gonna start out on Warlock til I get a bit more comfortable then swap to wizard if I get a bit bored :)

@@xenird Might also try Druid though, honestly I'm not too sure lol.

reactive shield is for landmine + it does damage and is a shield, which is ideal for pushing melee as wizard is very squishy.

Pressing S to go backwards multiplies your speed by 2/3 (66.67%) so if you want to move back quickly you have to only use A, W, D

Game is highly pve centric. Unless you're killing super high geared players looting, and killing higher tier npcs/bosses gives you better loot

nah thats just copium youve heard everyone spit, ive been killing geared players all day with 5 spell meditation, a build everyone says is "bad".

Agreed, it is definitely less fun than 10 spell caster. Unfortunately unless you build a lot of move speed, caster wizard gets obliterated in Solos. At least you can hybrid cast/bonk with fire ball and zap.

@red2314 💯 this build is probably one of the strongest in the game imo. Yeah, caster wiz needs a lot of MS and gear to be even viable in solos. You can definitely snowball with this build. People underestimate it, but it's very strong
