1. Without A Whisper 2. Elysium 3. Immolation Of Night 4. Shade Astray With that said, all 4 are fucking perfect. Metalcore literally cannot be done better than this.
my only problem with currents is i wish they’d do less cleans. his cleans can’t carry a song like this & just aren’t very good. still top tier writing tho.
Absolutely agreed, Currents and IA are on top of the genre right now imo. Spiritbox is in that category too but being between albums I have Currents and IE higher currently
@@Nornfang his cleans are very good. Their only problem is the structure of their songs, you can predict the whole song cause they never change it. Amazing band but needs some new writing as far as the music goes for the structure of the songs. But to say his cleans aren’t good is stupid as shit lol. His screams are really good too
Might be my favorite Invent song ever. The post-hardcore vibes at the start along with that heavenly chorus and the heaviness towards the end, this song ticks all my boxes.
IM SO GLAD YOU CAUGHT THAT NOTE AT 4:30 BY MARCUS ON THE FIRST LISTEN! No other reactor has and your reaction was exactly like mine! Such a great song and thee best metal core band out right now.
I was thinking the exact same thing, I love those softer moments like the dark pool did so well, and they kill those super technical and powerful guitar work that they do so well!
I love this band so much, their Atmospheric sound hits like nothing i've heard before. "Without A Whisper" is my favorite and not just favorite out of all singles, but probably of all time lol
probably the best chorus they’ve ever written. i’ve loved every single they’ve released for this record and i think it’s safe to say that this will be my aoty 💚
They're experimenting with so many new styles on this album. This is like if Invent Animate and Heroine-style Thornhill had a Shoegaze baby. That soundscape in the prechorus/chorus is everything. I love Thornhill and Heroine, but THIS is what I wished Thornhill did with Heroine if they were going that route.
Invent animate and thornhill tour together so maybe that’s where Invent animate gained some inspiration/influence, but I completely agree. I wish this is path Thornhill went down but they are all doing great work nonetheless.
@@rylanleipelt2237 Good shout. This song is basically Casanova structurally with an Invent Animate spin. The second verse slowing down and the groovy chunk guitar post-chorus is straight off Casanova.
Had to come to the comments for this one. What an absolute TUNE!!! This band with this album can do no wrong. Every song has hit near perfectly. Could be a runner for AOTY. Fantastic
Dropped out of nowhere this morning. Vocals gave my massive chills. The song is so different to the other three but still so IA. Loving it. But my fav still is Elysium.
Didn't know they were dropping an album but got a notification about it today. Gravitated towards this track instantly. It's just beautiful isn't it...
I couldn't agree more with you, this has been their best release out of the four. I felt like I was thrown into a world of sadness with some outburst of frustration. You always have incredible takes when it comes to them. I can't wait to see your reaction of the full album, it's always such a great moment. Have a great day!
Gonna be seeing them live this friday, when the album drops. Together with erra, silent planet and sentinels. And I hope to god they'll play this song, I've been jamming it all day yesterday.
I love this song so much, I’ll listen to it like 5 or 6 times in a row. I think it’s the best overall track they have ever released. The hook pulls you in. Marcus executed that track damn near perfectly. I’m more excited than ever for heavener. 🤘.
1: shade astray (that verse riff before the chorus is so hype) 2: immolation/without a whisper (they tie for me because I can’t choose 3: elysium (still a heater)
This song is about Keaton's grandmother and the delayed grief he felt for a long time after she passed away..... again, atmosphere on this song is just unmatched. But still can't come close to ambience on elisiyum and can't touch the grooviness of immolation of night. I wasn't a really big fan of this band. But with these new singles, I'm Hyper Curious to see what these guys have cooked for us. Landon has clearly had a huge influence on them while still being progressive along with their signature god tier riffs. And the production is just super clear. Maintaining the impact of a metal song while making every instruments crystal clear. I'm hoping for a naughty ride.
Awesome track 🙌🏻 Think Shade Astray still takes it for me. They didn’t treat us to this new track but watched Invent Animate last night in Manchester with Sentinels, Silent Planet and Erra - what a show that was! Unreal lineup and all killed it live 🤙🏻
I don’t follow album releases too much because i hate building up expectations and waiting feels to long. I didn’t know that they released another single before the album. Checked out the single first, came back and now I can buy the album without having to wait.
every single has been incredible and this album is gonna be incredible (looking at you “purity weeps”), but immolation still might be my favorite invent song of all time. it’s just so raw and keeps building lol
Its good, don't get me wrong, but this stuff is so different from their previous stuff like the album Everchanger. I personally miss that sound. They are not nearly as heavy as they used to be not even close.
I've always hated the vocalists highs, they're just so obnoxious and in your face, which sucks because I love everything else about them. Fortunately both this song and Immolation of Night lack those highs so I'm actually looking forward to this album
The album was fanastic but i almost wish theyd channel even more of this sound, some faded into the long played out metalcore/mathcore but strikes an awesome balance between a Linkin Park clean trippy style and heavier post hardcore combination.
I like all tracks, but nothing is topping Shade Astray for me. I was surprised by Without a Whisper especially the heaviness at the end. Anyway, here's my rankings 1. Shade Astray 2. Elysium 3. Without a Whisper 4. Immolation of Night
My birthday is March 17. What a lucky day. Periphery is my favourite band and it sounds like Invent Animate will be up there for me with this upcoming album. Best March of my life.
I am a metal fan who have stayed away from all kinds of "core" metal, it's just not my type of metal. But I love shoegaze and gazecore sounds pretty epic. I really liked this song too, I was pleasantly surprised!
