They were also virtuoso players. At first I was just thinking of Janice then I saw the solo of Share Pedersen and Roxy Petrucci in Germany in 1991.... crazy! Great power ballads too. A band of excellence without weaknesses, perhaps underrated.
Jan Kuehnemund, the founding member and lead guitarist for the all-female glam metal band Vixen, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. She was 51. An official statement has not been released. Kuehnemund was born on Nov. 18, 1961, in St. Paul, Minn., and formed Vixen in high school. She and singer Janet Gardner moved the band to Los Angeles in 1985 and, within two years, the classic lineup was formed with Roxy Petrucci on drums and Share Pedersen on bass.
Yes still around. Saw their 2021 concert at apache casino in Oklahoma in October. They still rock and still look great. Bass and drummer still playing. From when they had all there best songs
I like the Scorpions t shirt.. Vixen was touring with the Scorps in Europe in 1989 and made a appearance on MTV when MTV was really MTV during Spring Break
For me the lead guitar is very good and her sounds supreme. RIP. Actually it catches my attention with this band because of the sound of the lead guitar.
I wish I could travel in time and go back to the 80s... My generation is good, but the 80s was better. So many great bands, I've seen a few live but they're not the same. 😥
Yes they are doing fine. Got loads of projects on the boil! Hopefully I'm catching them In the UK later on this year There is a movement afoot to get vixen in to the rock and roll hall of fame if anyone has got passion for this band now is the chance to show it! I have voted for them come on let's do it for them and jan give them the credit they deserve
I'm with you on the rock and roll hall of fame. Probably the most underrated Rock band ever. Every song they sung was great. Incredible artists. They should have been way more successful. Must have had lousy representation. What a shame!
Ballad, Pop, but the speciality of this amazing band was the Hard Rock Metal. This is my list, i called "Songs better than Edge Of A Broken Heart": -Give It Away -Big Brother -You Ought To Know By Now (great AOR cover by Ray Kennedy) -Cruisin´ -Hell Raisers -Charmed Life -Only A Heartbeat Away -Streets In Paradise -How Much Love -Rev It Up -Hard 16 -Love Is A Killer -Bad Reputation -Desperate -Waiting -One Night Alone
No mention of the members of such a throwaway band. THEY WERE GOOD.... At one time. Who was onstage in the first clip.... If you're that much of a fan. I did the research and I ain't doing someone else's work. REASEARCH
