Funny thing about this game: force lightning and mind tricks are unblockable if you turn around and target the opponent manually so you get the "turn around while using the force" animation. There are also standing (anakin) and downed (serra, obi-wan, some others) infinites. Can be very degenerate if those things aren't banned.
Enjoyed this video. I played this game a lot. Still have it but it's been at least 10 years now since I've played. I'm surprised you didn't cover the same character battles in the dualing. Mace had darker robes with blue Saber, Sera had dark robes with red sabers such as Sin dralling. Grievous had darker metal with red sabers. Kenobi with green Saber. I think Vader had a blue Saber against himself.
I went back and played this on my PC PS2 Emulator wow was it a step back in time I remember loving this game as a kid you never disappoint with the content ❤
For the part of the level where you use the Separatist cannon against the Separatist ship if you keep firing it it will transition to an ingame cutscene where the cannon is still firing and you can still move it around.
Man I’m ready for someone to release a trainer for this game Or mods or something I want so badly to play those alternate skins without it being confined to a mirror match And changing character models entirely how cool would it be for someone to model clone wars Ani and Obi into this game or add different Star Wars characters entirely from the other media And being able to change the color of your saber with a mod would be dope as hell too
if i remember correctly, you were able to have 1 player hover over the character and then the second person to hover over them gets the alternate skin selectable. and then the first player can hover off and pick their character. of course, this means that you can't have both characters with alt costumes.
You should definitely checkout the Movie Duels II mod for Jedi Knight Academy! It's a single player mod that lets you play through a ton of duels from the movies!
This game is great. If you have a PS3, you can actually still buy it I believe. It's one of the few PS2 classic Star Wars games that didn't get ported to the PS4. Unlike Bounty Hunter and a few others.
The dueling is the best in any sw game outside of Jedi outcast and academy. I watched further and you said “imagine a Star Wars themed soul caliber” they did make that the masters of Teras kasi but it was bad and it inspired the guy who made this dueling system to “do it right, unlike that other game(mtk)
I recently played this game on the hardest difficulty and man was it painful grievous and windu are a death sentence I remember playing this game at 7 years old nostalgic
I wouldn't say its the best being that All 3 Super Star Wars games for SNES were amazing for that time period as was Knights of the Old Republic which takes the gold. Just wish ROTS woulf of had more to do like The Phantom Menace.
