Hi Darren when I left school, I very nearly took a job at Jewellers as trainee in Hatton Gdn, then after college took different career path.. Heck if street food was around at that time, that steak sandwich might swung my decision back then. 😋 I could taste it as you tucked in.

Loved the mini tour so interesting imagine all that history, and that sandwich wow £9.00 I don't think that's bad considering a MC Donald's can cost that and mcds don't make sauces etc from scratch (obviously the steak isn')t but I'd say worth every penny. Thanks for taking us along.

My husband often used to get food from Leather Lane when he worked in London, usually a curry or I think that’s where he could get a Bahn mi, which he loved. Have you tried one ? HI Darren Wow what a lovely Steak Sandwich all nicely cooked along with that lovely sauce. Well there was a lot of good food stalls there hope you go back and try some other meals there. That was good value for £9 so I take it got busier later on

Hi Darren, £9 is great value for money for a rib-eye steak sandwich, it costs £6/ £7 for a rib-eye steak in the supermarket and you got a ciabatta plus all the other ingredients
Always loved leather lane and the sandwich looked great for £9.00, to make it at home for £5.00 ? impossible time you buy all the ingredients individually thanks for sharing Darren
