Man I hear those knees tweaking after all those push jerks. I've blown my ACL and two things that has really cut down on the noise mine make is doing mild tension bike sprints and serious tight compression on my knees a few times a week.
Omar B. Rimawi Well, I’m gonna have to start seeing it that way, because now I’m addicted and start itching when I don’t eat an orange every few hours.
deadlift stuff!! alllll the deadlift stuff. tips, technique breakdown, some o dem weighted negatives you talked about on ig. hungry for deadlift stuff. but awesome videos thusfar dude! that warmup section was great, super informative!
Love the videos Martins. Any tips on getting more weight on the Husafell? I have been training strongman for about 6 months and I have seemed to stall out.
@@finalcam1740 I was scouting the comment section just to find someone mentioning it. But yeah, maybe people here don't know about it. For those who are wondering about the reference, here it is: /watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
Hey dude! I'm 21years old 190lbs male. My Stats are 430lbs deadlift, 330lbs squat and 155lbs OHP, I find it hard to progress in all my lifts and at the same time progress in the strongman exercise. How did you train before you got so strong? Would love to know how your training looked before you became pro!
Really appreciate you showing me the warm ups Martins! I know the importance of that stuff for consistent lifters. Injuries are the devil to progress as I'm sure you know. Stay healthy rooting for you this year!
@@MartinsLicis Man feel so special lol! I implemented the stretches into my warm today, it worked great! Doing some log upper body training today. Anyway, the difference I see with Martins is that not only is he ridiculously strong, but he also has a fast array of knowledge and technique that he teaches in a fun manner. I think that by not only relying on his brute strength as some competitors at his level do (no disrespect) is what separates him and will develop into his success in Strongman. I'll leave you with an idea to cover. Axle or Fingal's Fingers.
Yo martins, i waited for you hitting the RU-vid scene since i first saw you on jujimufu back in 2017! The first Part of the Series was hilarious. Keep up the good work!
Great videos and personality. If you dont mind me asking, how do you afford to live your lifestyle? Do you earn enough from the contests to not need a day job?
Your friend at the beginning keeps throwing me off: he looks like the youtuber PLAN ZERO. Kinda. The man how does tricking tutorials like Jujimufu XD. But a bigger stronger PLAN ZERO ; ) btw that skateboard company NEEDS TO SPONSOR YOU ; ) Anyone as big as you that can ride that....WHAT QUALITY!!!
First video I saw was with Larry wheels. Didn’t know you had a RU-vid video till I saw a post on your Instagram. Love you man. Your a cool guy. Wish I could train with you.
This is golden. Entertainment value matching the weights together with knowledge based training. First time i saw Martins competing versus Shaw i thought, "This dude is 60kgs away from the beast, how?" Now I know. Watching people mastering their craft is art, and this will turn out a masterpiece. Will be interesting to follow the rest, untill then, I will chew on some oranges.
I am really looking forward to the rest of this series, RIP orange diet lol I would love to see your tyre flip technique breakdown, huge support from England!
Small tip on the edge from Germany: if you buy a dozen eggs, you have always to control, if they are all still whole. ;-) Otherwise: great entertainment!
Love your content man. Just wondering what supplementary exercise would you recommend as your go to, for building work capacity in the squat and deadlift? I was thinking farmer's walks using a trap bar? I don't have access to strong man equipment in my gym. Thanks
Going to watch every video you’ve posted before worlds starts, love your channel can’t wait to watch you compete at worlds, thanks for the awesome videos
Dude, all the strongman above you are NOT well spoken. You are not only clearly more intelligent than Shaw or Halfthor, but you have a great personality on camera and exude charisma. Love you, Martiiiiis!
@@nilsandresen9912 have you seen his videos ? "Uh... Um... Uh.. Soo..." He's a great guy, but clearly more reliant on his trainers intelligence than his own. He also talks in circles, repeating the same point five different ways, again, I still watch em- but Licis here is something else !
Nils Andresen One has to be smart to make it to that level, regardless. The amount of discipline and attention required alone seem outside the grasp of someone with a less than average level of intelligence. Brian is probably smart, but I think Martins has made it this far significantly for his understanding of the human body and his attention to detail. It's true that listening to the two of them speak, there's not much comparison.
