Hey Daerik, can you check and see if the regular carpet mats still fit on top of these? Especially in the back seat? I was planning on using them mostly as debris catchers year round, but would still be interested in using the carpet over them (everywhere except drivers side as we know that might be dangerous w the pedals). The back one looks like it might be tight...

DC and almost every NE state has front plates - I am worried about the stick-on OEM solution so gonna go with a metal holder that snaps onto the lower grille and try to also use a rubber plate holder to protect on city street parking here in DC.

I am expecting delivery of my new Model Y LR from Austin next Friday. I live in Florida and have a CNC machine and intend to mount a custom LED Edge lit sign on the front of New Model Y LR. Tesla associated graphics of course.

I ordered Tesmanian's mats and had to return them. Horrible odor (likely due to cheap Chinese recycled rubber/plastic? Not sure) and one of them was very ill-fitting. They were also shipped very haphazardly, wrapped around each other in a big plastic bag, which isn't great for maintaining their shape properly. I replaced the passenger compartment mats with some nice ones from 3D Mats and the rear cargo one with WeatherTech's version. FAR superior products in every way.

Arguably the best mats currently on the market right now for Tesla vehicles, HOWEVER their design is lacking. The grooved slots are way too deep and spaced apart, giving it a very rugged and commercial look that does not compliment the design of a Tesla. If they could redesign this one area of their mats to give them a more streamlined and futuristic appeal, similar to the Tesla all weather mats, these would undoubtably be the best mats of all time.

Sorry don’t like the Tesmanian mats for Model S 2021. They look very nice. However, The Velcro on them are garbage so they slide. The trunk mat is bad design for getting to the bottom compartments.

In the state of Montana it's illegible not to have a front licenses plate. So we used to one that Tesla gave us VS having to drill a hole.

Of course I noticed the mats were dirty, but I'm guessing that you separately installed them, stomped them in and then added the video to show them installed. They ship clean.

Do you know of a solution that covers the black carpet on the rear seats? We have a Yellow Lab and out Model Y should be here in 3 weeks. We normally travel with the back seats down and the dog rides along in the back

How is that sunshade? do you find it distracting? helpful? Does it rattle when you drive? Easy install? Removal? I am here in Bay Area and got my MY on Saturday - its been about 96 degrees, and that roof is HOOOTTTT..... Hey guys, I will definitely be ordering the floor mats. A couple of questions for you. I also live in Colorado (Castle Pines), and I am waiting for delivery of my Model Y AWD LR. I know that I am going to want to get the front windows tinted and a mask. Where do you have your work done? Also, do you not need to put the front license on the car, or did I misinterpret that. I noticed on the driver side that you installed these mat on top of the OEM mat. Did you do the same thing for passenger and rear side too? It looked you had removed them, but it was not clear.

I wish there were decent options for RHD Tesla floor mats. None of the major brands make them, and the only ones I've been able to find are the mediocre ones from Tesla. I guess it's only the front seat mats that are different, but they are also the most used and most important, and I really want a complete set that matches.

What does the rear cargo area look like with the seats folded down? I'm concerned that everything will catch on that raised lip. For me the ability to fully contain a pool of water isn't a priority for the mats, so I'd consider cutting the lip off in the front of the mat to make it flat. Is that a realistic modification?

I ordered ToughPro mats for my Model Y, which didn't fit perfect and required some cutting/modification. I wish I had waited for these mats to come up, as they appear to be much better fit, and more protective on the edges.

What would happen if you overload the Model Y by the weight, let's say you fill in a trunk full of bricks where it has a really high weight density? I did that with a gas-powered minivan, it lowered the suspension like crazy and it goes bouncy when hitting a rough road. I hard accelerate the van carrying full of bricks and I can smell the smoke coming off from the engine, I need to avoid doing that. I also have a Model 3 as well, but I feel that it's too nice to carry bricks often, although I have done that one time and it did lower the suspension, but not nearly as bad as that minivan. Well, mainly because the trunk space is so much smaller.

Isn't the front license plate required as per the Colorado law?

It's not a primary offense. So they can't pull you over because of it, but can add it into charges if you're pulled over for something else. But yes, you can get a ticket for not having it. Parking on streets can also get you a ticket. Front plates are hideous.

Unfortunately putting it on the dashboard doesn't get you out of a ticket. I've heard of people printing copies of their plate in vinyl and sticking that on, but don't think that'd work either and it also ruins the front look.

Thanks! Yeah, keeping it on is the safest option. There are some aftermarket plate holders also that might work for removing and putting it on often. But I just leave mine off.
