I lived 20 yrs in Zurich and worked 18 yrs in Stadtspital triemli I loved Zurich and people of Zurich wonderful people of Zurich love you Zurich love you Switzerland 🇨🇭 ❤❤❤
I was born in Zurich in 1947! Was baptized in the Grossmunster church (the double spired edifice) I love my old homeland. Of course I come from an era when people respected historic buildings and graffiti was not even a word back then. I cry bitter tears when I see the defaced walls and wonder whatever happened to the youth that feels so entitled as to completely ignore the hundreds of years (800 actually) of history, and the iconic Swiss cleanliness that we learned from little on.
Wow, that is so wonderful that you were baptized in Grossmunster. I agree with you about the graffiti, it pains me when I see it on historic buildings in cities. I like that Zurich as an area for it and has made it all a living work of art.
@@karlwalter2242 Depends where you live in America. Rural areas are still very safe. I am in a small town in Northern Arizona. 3 hours from Phoenix. Near Grand Canyon. It is a different world up here. Beautiful, serene and calm.
My family and I are planning to visit Zurich this July, and I was so confused while creating a to-do list because I wasn't sure of what things would be worth experiencing in Zurich in a 3 days span but all thanks to you and your amazing video guide, I am sure we are going to have a lot of fun in Zurich because of you now. I've noted down all of the places that you recommended to visit and I am so excitedddddd! Love from Pakistan! God bless!
That is so wonderful to hear! We love watching videos to plan, so we made this video with that in mind. You can see a lot in 3 days and it is very easy to get around. Have an amazing time and let us know how it goes !
Such a scenic city nestled in a beautiful landscape! When we went we felt like we were living off of grocery store bread, cheese, and salami to avoid the higher costs! A magnificent city though, great walkthrough! 😊
That's a great tip! Shopping at the grocery store is definitely the best way to save money. Prices are certainly higher in Switzerland. We found Fondues and Racellettes the way to go. It really is an amazing city. We didn't expect it to have so many outdoor activities.
Thanks you two! We were really luck with the weather indeed. They told us that just before we arrived they had a couple of weeks of rain. Very grateful! Cheers and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

I want to say that this video was so helpful, and I appreciate both of you for taking your time and making this amazing video that stands out from the others. This video was such an educational and helpful video. I'm going to Zurich this July, and this video gave me a really good understanding of the place. Thank you so much!!!!! 😘
Hello from. From U S A. To day I just see your videos . Your videos quality is very good. We understand the way you took the pictures , and you explained. Enjoy the videos HA HA…..
You guys are awesome!!! I really enjoyed watching this video!!! My wife and I are going to Zurich in late February (2023). Do you have a video of what to do in Zurich during winter (or in February)?
Thanks so much! unfortunately, we don't have a video on winter in Zurich. But I am sure it is beautiful with the snowcapped Alps in the distance. And I know that Lake Zurich is still very active in the winter with the baths being turned into saunas and there are ice rinks instead of paddle boarding.
I would recommend you to visit the Dolder icerink, it's close to the city and in the winter there's a christmas tree in the middle of it (I'm not sure if it's still there in february. ), or you could visit the zoo, there's an indoor jungel and a big indoor space where the elephants live, which is amazing to see and also quite warm so you don't have to freeze off your toes outside. :)
Great video! We arrived in Zurich today a bit ill-prepared so took a look at this video. We had dinner at Frau Gerold’s Garten (got a Bügel beer, which appeared to be the local favourite) and got our Zurich card for transport. We’ve also added several other items you mentioned to our itinerary. Thanks for the helpful info!
How much is the train fare in USD? What did you pay for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? You should show us your hotel suite and if gym and pool included for how much per day.
I’m leaving in Canada but I don’t want to leave here anymore I’m fed up of canada and so boring,,I really want to go to switzerland 🇨🇭 and want to leave there but I don’t know how can I go to switzerland
I’ll be spending 3 days in Zurich this May. Two questions: after visiting Salzburg, I fell in love with quiet cobble stone streets. Can we find any in Zurich? 2.) I speak German, is standard German spoken or a dialect?
Yes you can find cobblestone streets on Old Town and I have to admit, I am not sure what dialect is spoken, but I am sure you will get along just fine with your German and everyone we encountered spoke great English.
Standard German is one of the 4 official languages in Switzerland, so you‘ll get along fine when using it. The locals speak one of the many Swiss dialects (called Züridütsch). Dialects in Switzerland vary from town to town, so I’d strongy recommend you don’t even try to learn it 😊. Better stick to Standard German. 😊 And most people understand English.
Great question and yes it is included. The Zurich card includes the Mini Lake Cruise, and Limmat River Cruise. They are the boats operated by Lake Zurich Navigation Company (ZSG) but you can easily ask which one at the pier.
Swiss german is not easy to learn because there are many different dialects and no language app has it so I would recommend you to learn german before you try yourself on swiss german
Great education. I am relearning things I knew but not practicing recently. Do you ever day-trade or swing trade? What strategies are you using for day-trading? Monthly charts are good for long term investing.
We were in Zurich in August and yes indeed, we had amazing weather every day. We were in Switzerland for three weeks and only had two days of rain the entire trip.
