As a 62% winrate rank 50 Kpz70 player with over 5k games in the thing, I can tell everyone that it has tons of weaknesses. Good gun and decent mobility, but other than that, it's pretty lacking. If your team desperately needs a true heavy, the Kpz70 will struggle. Poor armor. Tier 8 mediums can load standard and pen the upper plate. Very weak track wheels so expects to be penned and tracked often. The turret is covered in cupolas and other junk that is all pennable. High-pen tanks can load gold and go straight through the entire turret even when hull down. Its turret is so long that turning it sideways can give the enemy shots if you are aiming at someone else from around a corner. The tank can't side-scrape because it has very weak side armor, which is also heshable by some tanks. It also has some of the the lowest Hp of any tier 9 heavy. Gun is alright. That alpha of 560 hurts. The dpm isn't terrible, but it isn't good either. It has fantastic pen if you use reticle instead of rammer. It has better accuracy than you'd expect, but it will still fluff a lot of its shots, especially if you have to snap a shot. It has a 15-16 second reload so those misses are extra painful. The gun barrel is also so short that you can't gun-block with it. It has pathetically low HE damage so don't even use it vs tanks with Spall Liner since the AP will do more. The tank only has 7 degrees of gun depression and meh gun elevation so you will occasionally struggle to get the gun in the right place. Its gold shells are HEAT so don't shoot it at tracks, spaced armor, or through fences or destructible buildings. It can't aim down over the back. Mobility is good. Top speed of 40 and medium tank levels of power to weight. When in a 1v1 against a slower heavy or TD, find a building or a rock and make them chase you in circles as your gun reloads. Not the fastest heavy, and its turret is slow so you'll still get circled by mediums and lights. It's absolutely not a frontline heavy unless you can get a cheeky hull-down position, and I often play it as a 2nd line heavy or sometimes even as a medium if low tier. It's one of the lowest winrate collectors in tier 9 with even a few tech-tree tanks outperforming it. If you want a stronger tier 9 collector heavy, use the K-91 or Obj 752; they will outperform it in most situations. I only play it cause I'm weird like that.
I think they should buff it, I know that every time they make a video of this tank they say they buffed it, but I feel that a real buff should be increasing its damage to 600 or 630 because it is a 152mm cannon, or lower the load to 12 seconds, OR (again) give him 960 alpha in his HE ammo
The kpz was actually named mbt-70, it was a joint project between Germany and America to make the universe main battle tank for NATO countries, but due to conflicting ideas that project didn't last one and ended in 1 prototype
In reality this thing can run at 60km/h and -24km/h, fire APFDS round with 450+ pen, 9s reload, better armor than Maus,... It seem crazy how this tank shows in this game 💀

Besides from this tank and T30, I think the K-91 is also a great tank in tier 9 because it features 3 shot autoloading shells (350 per shot) and can deal about 1050 in just I think 6-7 seconds, but yah these are excellent tanks for the tier
It's not that good, and against tiers X it's meh to be honest ... U overestimate autoloaders, like everyone else. Kp and Conway are the best, maybe u can put wt 2.
@@elviaochoaramirez8723 every tier 9 is meh against tier 10, and autoloaders rn is meta, I'm not overestimating. It's one of the best tier 9 alongside with t30 and kpz, you can play it hull down with 7° and fighting against conway or kp7 is a win because you'll deal 1050 dmg in 7 seconds while they deal around 600-700ish, just make sure you don't overpoke. Any autoloaders are cracked rn tbh so there's that
It's entire hull combined with its lack of mobility is a huge downside. The Kpz is better in damn near every way and in every situation as most heavies are when it comes to TDs
T30 armor isn’t as good after it got pbr and the mobility is not just a downside it’s god awful. No special consumables to crutch that temporarily unlike the t95.
This and Object 752 are the best T9 collectors you can get and have a great time playing them. K-91 is situational, because it needs to stay exposed for a long time to dump the entire clip and it gets obliterated by T10s
Best t9 heavy will always be the E75 for me. It’s not a p2w stupid op tank and yet its still extremely competitive and can solo carry games if your competent. It has so much armor that it can even bounce t10 td’s
I got this tank out of a germany crate i was dropped after i came back from a 2 year long break. I am completely F2P and i saved up the 1890 gold to get the Cavalry camo. The best t9 heavy tank 100%
One of the players who got it the first time it has released and left the game years ago here. There's no buff yet to this thing? What are WG doing? This is one of the worst tier IX premium. All this years, I expect at least reload time buff but they didn't even touch this thing at all?
I honestly think the best tier 9 is the type 68. It has one of the highest win rates and competes with most tier X's. I actually prefer it to the type 71 because if you get into a tier 8 game you've won 😂
you know what t9 they need to show some love to? the t55a. that tank looks boring asf, even the lucky draw background art was cool. wg awknowledges how boring the tank is, but never changes it
