Thank you! There is actually a difference. In the monza example thats actually a mistake, I meant to shift down to 2nd immediately. When downshifting more quickly it basically just engine brakes more effectively as the RPMs are even more limited

that's based on DRS on, not settings

not sure if i understand, but staying at mid RPM in higher gears can often be a better solution than downshifting, it just depends on the corner

I depends on how long the part you are at before coming into a corner. Sometimes it's better to overrev on 6,7th sometimes 5th gear rather to shift up if its just like 250-350m left to the breaking point, you dont gain that many more km/h on those meters left by upshifting before you have to downshift, you also gonna have 1 less gear to downshift from. So I think what you might loose on the speed you will gain in the cornering due to a more stable car under the braking and downshifting. But its all connected to brake bias/pressure, and other settings. Play around, on some corners its better to upshift and downshift again to get more rotation in the corner, on some its better to outrev, thats whats make it fun to test different approaches and see if you gain or loose time. I'm not an expert on the game, just an happy amateur :D on lvl 86. Hope it helps.

were u trying to get the beep sound, or the sound of the engine

@@TDPrez the beep sound... I only can get it in helm camera... but then the rest of the sounds hurts my ears (deep muffle sound which hurt my ears because of the bass)
