The Visodate Powermatic 80 in blue was my first luxury watch that I got at 20 when I got my first full-time job. This watch will stay with me forever, because it saved my hand when I got it caught at my most recent job. Bracelet snapped, but I got it replaced. I remember I was standing there with my hand bleeding, didn't feel the pain, I was just mad my watch was laying on the sidewalk. 😂
As I'm watching this, I'm wearing my green dial Powermatic PRX. I also have the dark blue dial Powermatic Gentleman, a silver dial LA Locle, a black dial quartz Visodate, a black dial Powermatic Seastar on a bracelet and a green dial Powermatic Seastar on a milanese. I guess I went on a bit of a Tissot spree.
I love the gentleman, but they are big size! And also why no all back gentlemen in all black case and bracelet PVD ! I wish they have in 38mm or 37mm quartz soon
My tissot gentleman open heart is the best looking watch. Can't believe it's categorized as a budget watch coz i was saving up for it from a long time 🤣
Not mentioned, but I think the Tissot 1938 Telemeter chronograph has got to be one of their best releases recently! Absolutely stunning especially in the white dial.
It's a beautiful piece, but I think having the tachymeter spiral in the middle really clutters up the dial and reduces legibility. I'd love it if it just had the telemeter around the edge.
Didn't know about the Chemin de Tourelles facelift from last year. That domed cristal is fire! Glad that Le Locle is getting a mention from a major channel. This watch first got me into watches, and apart from lack of AR coating which makes it a bit harder at certain angles to see the dial's awesome patterns, I have no complaints. Mine is very acccurate for its price range too, runs between -3 and -8 seconds a day.
@@leoanthony7281 tell us your woman isn't happy with the size of your tool without telling us she isn't happy with the size of your tool. Three LS7 cold start videos from eight years ago? The struggle is real, I suppose.
I will never understand how teddy applauds the gentlemen which is at 48.6 lug-to-lug, but was so quick to point out how the longines spirit lugs are too long at 49mm lug to lug. Bias. Teddy, i love you, but it doesnt make sense.
If you try the two watches on and have a size wrist like Teddy, then it will make sense. I'm the same size as Teddy and the Gentleman automatic is nice on the wrist and fits super nicely and follows the shape of the wrist. Longines Spirit horn is too square and sharp and that watch requires a larger wrist in my opinion. For me, watches are not about mm in size with how the shape and profile are shaped
It's such a weird concern too, like how dainty are his wrists that he actually cares? Like 50mm is dead on where I'd want the L2L for a watch to be comfortable
@@MrClauser29 sure but then Teddy should have described the lug shape, but he didnt. Same goes for IWC pilots. Hardly one knocks the mark XX for its lugs despite it being nearly identical.
Have always loved how the Le Locle looks. Funny this video came out today, as I finally ordered the blue-dialed Le Locle yesterday, and got the shipping confirmation 15 mins befor eI saw this video out. :)
Own a few Tissot watches, my favorite everyday is the White face open heart Le Locle. Since I wear dress shirts practically every day just goes with everything. Also own the Seastar 1000 Limited Edition, perfect weekend warrior, have several nylon bands to change styles on top of the bracelet that comes with it. Own the also own another older chronograph and of course a PRX. I believe for what you get with a Tissot watch in value, reliability and style makes a great addition to anyone’s collection. Would add a gentleman to the my collection as well. Have purchased a few watches from Teddy and his team and never been disappointed with their service. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much, Teddy, for introducing me to the Tissot Le Locle. I had no idea they made this elegant watch. I was about to buy a Tudor 1926, which has a similar look, but is almost *TRIPLE* the cost. You saved me a lot of money.
I have three Tissots and love them. I don't care for the PRX ironically. Black dial 1938 Telemetre, Tradition Open Heart on bracelet, and a Luxury Powermatic with black strap. All have black dials 😆. Apparently that is my preference for dials.
I was window shopping the other day at a local shop and noticed a Tissot Le Locle Open Heart with a white dial and brown leather strap... I had to do a double take on it as I felt it really does look nice... And yes, the case back has a unique vintage style about it! Thanks for this video Teddy!
I really liked the CDT when I tried it on but the leather strap looked really cheap, with a much lighter color than on pictures and video. That was a real disappointment
If they added some type of texture to the dial and microadjust to the bracelet, I think it'd be the perfect watch. The sunburst effect on the green is super nice, but I feel like the other colors are a bit too plain for my liking.
I own the pr516 - great watch & wears nicely (I sold my intramatic because of size and kept this one). One thing I can't understand is why Tissot thought a display caseback would work on that watch. I'm definitely not flipping it over because of how nice the movement looks...
Owned the Seastar 1000 T 40mm Blue/Black for 3 months, durable , light weight and handy good looking. Most important it cost HKD 6000 (USD 768) low price. I am no need to care about it. And work for tough works. It's great.
Why they put on every single watch dial this disgusting text Powermatic 80. It's absolutely non sense, it's not a specific movement for Tissot only, all swatch group using this movement, why they need to text this on dial?
The Gentleman is king in my opinion. I’ve owned the blue on your recommendation and it’s staying for the long haul. Dress up or down, tough, great finishing, killer dial, etc….
The gentleman was THE watch that turned me into a watch-enthusiast. I was casually hanging out with my wife in a mall, when suddenly I saw the green dial version in the window of a boutique. It was love at first sight, I've done a week of research to justify the purchase, and i haven't regretted buying it ever since. I bought Tissot brown leather straps, and in my opinion the combination of the green dial (which is absolutely stunning in live, videos don't do justice for it) with brown leather straps make it the ultimate watch for all occasions. 10/10 would recommend!
Why does nobody look at the SeaStar 2000 professional? I have the Turqiose one & sure it's a big watch but has the deepest dive depth of any watch with a display case back GREAT watch a pops in this colour...
Some great pieces. I just really don’t like the slow beat rate of the powermatic 80. The second hand does not move smoothly at all. Would be nice to see Tissot put the faster beat rate ETA 2824 in the Gentleman and Le Locle models as well
I absolutely loved this video. Might you do something similar with other brands where one watch overshadows everything else? Doxa, Zodiac, Rado, Blancpain, Hamilton, and maybe Oris. Also, are there any new watch brands to keep an eye out for over the next 5 years?
The fact that Tissot makes quartz and cheap automatic watches makes it not worth buying if you want to feel like you have a high value well made swiss watch. The resale value on Tissot is horrible for good reason. Better to save your money and get a Tudor at entry level.
Can anyone please tell why teddy didn't mention anything about TISSOT PRC 200 chronograph that's one of my favourite model and I want to buy it any inputs please anyone or teddy himself?
The Tissot Heritage Visodate, with a 25 jewel automatic movement, should have been mentioned. But thank you for useful information for the majority, average watch enthusiasts. Need more information like this, please.
Teddy! You missed their best dress watch. The Ballade. Uses a cosc certfied P80 .811. these come in two dials. One dressy and one field style. 50m WR. With either fluted or knurled bezels.
Just bought a SuperSport Chrono Quartz.. think is a beauty in blue dial... Thanks for getting me back in the watch game.. first watch i have bought and only watch i own now since i was a 20 something
They should make a 38mm Gentleman. Also that green one looks a LOT better than those photos give it credit for. It plays with the light very well. The cross hairs are for a vintage styling but I agree they could have skipped those and it would look better.
How's the bracelet on the PR516? I purchased a quartz version that I returned because the bracelet was crap. On the model you showed on this video, the end link gap is so big we can see the spring bar holding it in place.
lmao this is the best title ever. every youtuber just talks about the prx like it’s the God watch. It looks good but it’s not THAT perfect. Made me dislike Tissot in general
I own the yellow Siderale, a PRX, and a porto, that siderale has been my #1 favourite since I bought it weeks after its release, I put the Zulu Diver rubber on it and it’s by far my favourite watch, the lume is wild, and the carbon case is so cool when the light hits it you can see every little detail of it.
I bought a Chemin Des Tourelles because of your video on it, and it's amazing! I was so upset that it's basically the only one you cannot get a link bracelet for, that I called their parts department and ordered the bracelet that they sell on the other models by default - and it's fantastic!
I have had a Gentleman for close to three years and still like it as much today as when I got it. I have no interest in the PRX, though, I did buy my wife the 35mm PRX.
I specifically sought out and got lucky to get an older pr100 with an eta movement and it has been awesome. Runs great, has explorer 39 vibe and i have had a hard time beating it so far
These days, I tend to think of Tissot as the new Seiko. I have never had an issue with their QC, and they really do offer some excellent choices for the money.
i have been buying tissot watches since mid 90s , automatics and quartz , those watches are value for money and they can easily stand the test of time . i sill believe that tissot is underrated.
I'm one of the three people on earth who loves the digital PRX lol, so this'll be interesting to see what other stuff Tissot has! I hope there's something weird on the list!
