Nice bike 😎 The fun thing about the 690 platform is it really is a 50/50 Enduro bike. It is not a dirt bike and not an Adventure bike, but the owner can modify it to taste to nudge it more towards dirt or street with tire choice and other accessories, or simply enhance it's do it all 50/50 nature, which is where I am at with my bike. This platform is a blank canvas. I have a '23 Husky 701 and can tell you that if he tosses that heavy and hot stock exhaust in favor of any number of options like Wings, Yoshimura (which my bike has) etc, and adds Rottweiler's fuel injection tuning goodies, it unleashes the bike's inner Kraken, with sizable increases in low end and midrange power. The soft off the bottom feel changes to XR650 like off idle tire churning chug, which is great when riding slow off road as the rider has to clutch it a lot less, even with the stock gearing. I sold my fast 1,000cc sporty bike to go "chill" and explore Colorado where I live on my 701, and instead I all too often find myself doing quick shifter assisted long wheelies. I can't win it seems, still a hooligan after all these years and these versatile bikes are more than happy to oblige 😏

Thank you! Yes he absolutely loves it and you are right about the 50/50 capabilities. He’s thinking about doing a Wings exhaust soon and maybe a Rottweiler canister delete in the future. Ride safe out there ✌🏼 We loved Colorado when we visited. Can’t wait to go back one day.

The steel frame for the Luggage is important. I simply put 2 soft bags and a 1 gallon gas tank over the sides and rear fender. After riding over 5 hours the KTMs gas tank melted and gas poured out over the muffler! It's been sitting now collecting dust ever since (2016) ! 💩💩😭 Someday I might replace the stock ($1,800) gas tank? I have 2 other KTMs. 😃🏜️

Oh yeah you did NOT mention something on the bottom of the swing arm. What's that for, lifting rear wheel?

Ah yes I did forget to mention that 🤦🏻‍♀️ Those are the spools so he can lift it with the stand and yes it does lift the back tire. He got orange to match the look of the bike. Spools are so convenient for chain maintenance 🙂

"KTM is a pain to work with" FFS. If you dont anymore than this let someone else make the videos. Every dealer is different for every brand. Your not "working with" the factory.

Just because racist people have hijacked the meaning and symbol of that flag for their agenda does not mean that’s what we are “sporting”. Symbols mean different things for different people. This channel is doing nothing but trying to keep people together with common interests and not to help divide us further. Thanks for commenting! 👍🏼

Why don't you go read the constitutions of some of the states of that U.S. enemy (CSoA), which lay out in brief and direct language their beefs with the USA. Then come back here and explain again how flying that flag helps to "keep people together".

Frame sliders, are for roadbikes. Off road they can catch and bend the frame. Those hard boxes, people quit putting those on bikes that go off road years ago......they can snap a leg or ankle. So wide. Exactly what most dont want...its good to say they're light, but they really arent. Easily dented. The stock muffler is huge heat generator, and effective plug for the exhaust. Its the first thing most dump. Im still not sure this isnt a little boy making this video.
