I recently got this figure, only for 18 POUNDS!!! That's like 18 bucks!!! And I'll say it's totally worth it, the gimmicks, the articulation for the time, and the gorilla mode, it's just fantastic, now it's like my top 5 figure of my collection!! P.D: nice review dude!!!
Thats something that some people need to understand. That is its a rerelease or reissue based on the original toy from the 90s. That's the point thats missed by some people. They get it thinking its going to be some highly detailed an show accurate toy. But thats not how it was in the 90s so they have issues with it. Because they failed to understand the figure thats why I ordered it. An it came in this week because its a re-release or reissue of it based on the original 90s toy. I love it for that reason because its a old school toy with actual firing missles if you choose. You don't get things like that in newer toys nowadays.
Alongside the original, my Dad actually had the translucent Japanese version of this one sealed in-box for a long time. Then I, being the dumb kid I was, begged him to unbox it so I could play with it, which I proceeded to barely ever do.
Y'all trippin'. This thing barely transforms! "Ooh, I stood up straight and took off a monkey mask! THE PINNACLE OF TRANSFORMER S AM I!" No. The best Transformer ever made is going to be subject to a lot of argument anyway based on favorite characters, but judging only by the actual toy itself my vote would go to the Spacecase/Strafe Cyberjet mold from G2, that went from a reasonably clean jet mode for its size into a robot that's just as posable as this while two price points lower, and whose engineering has been replicated at least twice thast I can name at larger scales to just as great an effect in the G2 Smokescreen DX-scale that was gang molded and packed with Dreadwing, and the 2010 "Hunt for the Decepticons" line Terradive. The greatest toy ever, full stop? Last I recall, sales numbers said that was the Frisbee flying disk 😋
