The BEST Transformers Figures To Buy In 2021 Studio Series WFC & More! 

Is no one going to talk about some of the product photography? Some of these shots look fantastic.

I know it is not that popular a figure to the multiple remolds but I think Sideswipe has one of the cleanest transformations as well as being a logical update of his Gen1 transformation.

Sky Lynx deserves a mention, he doesn't look like much from the outside but is a lot of fun hands on.

Definitely agree with the Earthrise/Kingdom Leader Optimus. It's basically a budget version of a definite G1 Optimus. I honestly need a Megatron like this and I'm done with G1 appearance Transformers figures.

Kingdom Cyclonus has no annoying kibble. Love both modes and the transformation. An MP is surely coming.

I LOVE ‘86 Hot Rod! He really is on a completely different level in terms of engineering and detail.

As much as I love most of the WFC line, nothing is really going to compare to how hyped I was for Earthrise Optimus and how blown away I was by the final product.

Feels good owning almost all of these........just got Bumblebee last and although small, I love him. The collection feels MUCH more complete with him.

Due to limited shelf space, the netflix soundwave and ss hot rod are the only figures I keep in the shelf among some MP figures and the seekers from the WFC trilogy (obvious show off reasons). All the other figures I just pile them up into a storage box. But those two, they are just that good!

You absolutely NEED to get the Toyhax upgrade sticker set for Optimus Prime. It's soooo good and completely enhances the whole thing, especially the trailer!!

I want Netflix Soundwave but I can’t find him, and I’m slowly going insane. Edit: I finally found him and Optimus at a Walmart and he’s wonderful

The Optimus Prime figure is arguably my favorite, however, I personally like the Generations Selects Barricade and Shattered Glass Prime. I just like Barricade, and Shatterd Glass Prime was something I was excited for when I first heard they were making it.

SS Starscream is great. I’m not much a collector of the bay-film studio series figures but I’ve been loving the bumblebee movie designs. And Starscream is surprisingly articulated

Optimus is a great figure in spite of the gray on his legs and the blue brow that made his blue eyes blend right into the sculpt. (Siege Oppy uses the same head but is painted correctly) What weighed his package down for me however was the trailer. It was undersized. It was all gray on gray in the interior that just looked meh. And worst, it didn't include Roller, an essential part to the Prime Package. That Hasbro asked you to buy a whole other figure to get him really soured me on the package.

I got very lucky and finally found soundwave and primal in store this week. Cyclonus is absolutely amazing! Out of all the figures that have come out he is my favorite.

I agree with your list 100%...I missed out on the Netflix Soundwave and while having the siege version is ok, I truly wish I didn't miss on the Netflix version...those scalper prices make it impossible to even think about the secondary market...I would also have to add Scourge in the list as well...

Grabbing Cyclonus was a no-brainer and I agree with everything you said about this figure

I like to use FOC Grimlock's Sword for SS86 Grimlock. It scales decently (a bit small, but eh), and Pegs in on the Back. And for Dino Mode Storage, i peg it into one of the Tail 5mm Ports

I agree with the list, except for the fact that I haven’t picked up Airazor. I wasn’t thinking about getting her at first, but seeing as she has a proper mold now, I may pick her up. I’d also add Commander Class Sky Lynx to the list. Although he’s a little harder to find, I was lucky enough to pick up mine on the shelves when it first came out. I will occasionally find one or two still on the shelf.

I'm so glad I was able to find the Netflix Soundwave. It took my FOREVER to find him. I picked him up a few days ago and I'm so excited!

I agree with the entire list. I've been able to to get the Netflix characters thankfully but I dont understand why they made 2 amazing versions of top tier characters limited exclusives. I'm very hapoy with how Inferno turned out. Sky Lynx is also a a solid Commander class that followed up Jetfire. (Can Rodimus compete the trilogy?) I also adore Omega Supreme. It just looks incredible with the rest of the WFC Autobots. Truly an awesome time to be collecting Transformers.

That Jetfire is great. He also comes with his cool armor that looks like his Valkyrie version. The Soundwave is amazing too. Finally glad Hasbro gave him his red eyes

My brother got the ss 86 hot rod and it is sick its awesome with the accessories and on display looks even better everything about the hot rod is perfection

Great vid. I love this. So far I think hot rod is among my favourites. He just looks so fresh off the screen. But going back to older ones then hound for me was always a surprisingly awesome figure. You should defo do more of this style of review or even a part two. Great work as always my friend.

I have Earthrise/Kingdom Optimus Prime 😃 (I got him, Doubledealer & Snapdragon for Christmas last year); I haven't found much of Kingdom or SS 86 in my stores yet, but I did get lucky when i found Blackarachnia 😀; I'm surprised that characters such as Sky Lynx, Doubledealer, & even Ultra Magnus (both Siege & Kingdom) aren't on the list (I think Doubledealer should have been on the list because he's a faithful update to the original toy & character seen in the comics, & though they're sold separately, his original Powermaster partners, Knok & Skar, which are retooled from Siege Rumble/Frenzy & Ratbat and are sold with Frenzy & Wingthing, give him that extra playability; Sky Lynx is unfortunately similar to Jetfire in terms of availability, but let's make no mistake that a true Masterpiece Sky Lynx would rival the Earthrise Sky Lynx, much like how the upcoming Masterpiece Jetfire/Skyfire will likely dethrone Siege Jetfire; Ultra Magnus could easily make it onto anyone's list, especially since the "white Optimus" gimmick is a thing which, while not in the G1 cartoon, did get explored in media, such as the Dreamwave comics, & the gimmick equals more play factor for a figure of a character such as Magnus)

I really want that soundwave but man $90 on the after market is just not doing it for me 😔 I only got back into transformers after the earthrise line hit shelves.

Started collecting Transformers last June during lockdown. Bought Earthrise Optimus, Starscream, Netflix Megatron and Siege Sideswipe. Was going to just buy 2 autobots and 2 decepticons to compliment all the star wars and marvel legends I'd started buying 2 months before. But then I was staggered by how good Optimus was and the effort the engineers went to to make him look like the G1 cartoon. Then I couldn't get over the quality of Sideswipe for £16.99 The paint, the articulation, the g1-ness, the way he looked how I imagined. All those moving parts for £17. It seemed such good value and much more interesting compared to the simple marvel legends. A doorway to my childhood had been reopened. 60 or Transformers later I can happily agree with the choices on your list. I feel lucky to have stumbled on to this g1 golden age revival when I did. Great reviews PvP. Keep them coming.

Who knew Galvatron's chauffeur would get one of the best figures in Voyager toy line history?

I got Soundwave and Hot Rod past weekend. In person, they’re amazing. Soundwave was actually just stocked at the Walmart I went to and I had no idea I’d see him since I was expecting the usual emptiness.

Bought Siege Jetfire about a week ago. And surprised Kingdom Megatron isn't on the list.

Siege Ironhide is one of my favourite figures, I just haven't been able to get one

I found a Netflix bumblebee hiding on top of the Walmart shelves on my Birthday!!! Such an awesome find and definitely bought him!!!! I also found 3 Soundwaves and 3 voyager class Optimus primes sitting together, easy purchase!!!!!

You should know by now that Netflix Soundwave and Bumblebee were supposed to be regular EarthRise releases and the Coof totally screwed up distribution more than distribution normally already is and stuff got switched around. It’s why we had so many exclusives and new exclusive lines last year.

I do like the SS Bumblebee Movie Starscream style. Just think HasTak could've done better with all that alt mode kibble. That style of Cybertron jet is refreshing and unique. Maybe they will improve him down the road and clean him up a bit.

I never regretted getting kingdom optimus prime, saw it at the store convinced my mom to get it, and have never been happier with a figure

The thing about Earthrise/Kingdom Optimus is his eyes are so hard to see. It’s part of the reason I picked up the Netflix version instead

I got Jetfire as soon as it hit. I kept the receipt and 3 months later Walmart reduced him to $38.00 and I got the difference back. For awhile there were 2 to 3 Bumblebee's on the pegs at Walmart. Was going to get an extra one and make him into a crossover with Herbie the Love Bug. And use the head of a junked Tomahawk since it looked like a race car helmet. Always buy on a whim just keep the receipt.

Masterpiece Jetfire 👀 yes please

Between Earthrise, Kingdom, Studio Series '86, and the Netflix releases, I pretty much gave up on MP and 3P and am CHUG all the way now. Whilst I do live the intricate details of the higher end figures, these just have it all over them in character variety, pricing, and scale. NTM some of them are pretty much mini masterpiece figures to boot. I can't wait to get Rodimus Prime and Galvatron. My only critique on this video would have been adding Kingdom Beast Wars Megatron to the list. That is such a good figure.

passed on jetfire when he first came out but he's back in stock in my local toystore now so i got him , jazz ,and dinobot coming to me sometime this week. really is a class fig.

WFC and S86 toys are some of the best I ever seen and what got me collecting the toys. Hasbro are going have to work extra hard to wow me in the future.

You can have some real fun having Skyfire in Jet mode, and Grimlock hanging from the pegs that are from the hips, especially with Grimlock being in Dino mode upside down.

Netflix Soundwave gave me the most heartache. Getting an order for him was tough. And opening the package and getting dietary supplements was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with Walmart. I couldn't even take to a store to refund, they thought I was trying to rip them off. I had to ship it back and wait weeks for a refund and was never able to order him again. Then once and ONLY once I saw him on the peg on a grocery trip and snatched him up. I'm glad I got lucky, but my heart breaks for my fellow fans that won't be able to enjoy him.

Have all those figures (Exception being Starscream who has not yet shipped from Amazon). I think you're right about all of these except Starscream who I would substitute with his ER counterpart. Another figure that's near MP what's not to love about a larger, more articulate Classics Starscream whose alt mode is even more sleeker. I'm quite surprise Skylynx didn't make the list as he as much as the closet we've gotten to a MP version as Jetfire was an rediculously huge upgrade from his CW version. I would then also add Sideswipe to the list who is also near MP and one of the most solid feeling figures I've ever handled, but unfortunately lacks a realistic looking Countach alt mode. Finally I would add Siege Springer who is the best G1 representation we've gotten and a overall fun figure. My honorable mentions would be Prowl/Smokescreen/Bluestreak - faithful design however with transformation issues in regards to alt mode. Also the new core class figures. The detailing for the size is amazing and all 3 have been fun to transform back and forth. They're the tiny size TFs people like me have been begging for but didn't want to pay the premium price for Iron Factory's stuff.

Hot Rod is by far my favorite character and figure I have added to my collection defiantly my #1 for the year so far but leader beasty megs needed to be on this list....Yessssss.

I just got the soundwave for 90 dollars. To see it on this list is pretty cool.

Literally just bought jet fire for $105 on Amazon and with prime got him in 2 last week. Just got into transformers as I like transformers but specifically G1 so researching more into this line and trying get a decent proper G1 collection without the MP price. Just bout that jetfire and combiner wars devastator on amazon and picked up the Netflix optimus and sound wave and lastly have the 86 grimlock and hot rod. Plan on picking up past releases as close to G1 looks as possible. Also planning on picking up the beast war figures.

I have Netflix Bumblebee & Soundwave. Got them from eBay, prices were higher than usual but all honesty it's worth it for me. I got Optimus Prime for my Birthday, he was the second figure I got from the SS, Siege, Earthrise and Kingdom toylines.

I only got back into Transformers recently when I saw Earthrise Starscream and Optimus in store and had to have em, so I don't know much about figures between the Transformers Energon days and Earthrise. But I've picked up a good number of these and I wouldn't disagree with you. Personally though a couple figures I'd call attention to are SS86 Jazz, SS86 Blurr, and Kingdom Beast Megatron. I think all three of those figures look fantastic in both forms. Also the Core Class figures are pretty good for their size, and Core Starscream particularly is better than it has any right to be.

Thanks to my new job delivering to all the walmarts in the southeast region I was able to find every figure I wanted from the netflix, and studio series line in the last two months.

You missed out Scourge..I also love my Blurr. I have Hot Rod and Cyclonus. I absolutely LOVE them. For my Optimus - I have Power of the Primes and because of the duel nature I have him as something special. I do want want want a Jetfire.

I have grapple,optimus prime,bumblebee,arcee,elita 1,wheeljack,optimus primal,hot rod,jazz and starscream. I'm really wanting to pick up soundwave,cyclonus,kup,grimlock and ultra magnus to finish off the main g1 cast but their so hard to find for me.

I would replace Airazor with Warpath just because the engineering is perfect on him and you can hardly tell he transforms when in tank mode

I was able to get the Siege Jetfire via Hasbro Pulse earlier this year, I was fortunate, and he is worth the money. Hopefully they will do another run of it for people still wanting it.

Hasbro pulse had Jetfire back in stock last Friday. I was able to order him. Hopefully he will actually ship. Also, my Brother In Law was able to snag a Soundwave for me and my nephew. There were 3 at the Walmart near him. He had no idea how hard they were to find. I thought he was lying but now I have a soundwave on my shelf.
