It's actually pretty cool you repurposed something to make a desk. I did the same thing with an old white dresser. Sand it down and stained it. Came out great. Every RU-vidr has the same desk. It's ok to be different.
Yeah, I really like to take old things, or broken things and make them useful again. Maybe in the future I could sprout a channel about this kind of stuff
Make sure your desk edge is not weak cheap and can actually support the weight of the stand with 2 monitors, on that single clamp point. You're gonna get home one day to find your monitors fallen and probably cracked and the desk looking like your dog chewed into it. And dont think it wont happen, it could take months to happen. I've never heard anyone address that. And if you do have these arms installed, be it 1v1 or 1v2, doesnt matter, check the integrity of your desk weekly. Trust me it will snap so quickly without warning.
That was my mistake when I first bought a monitor stand lol. The worse part is that the stand that I bought (which was a North Bayou single monitor stand) was installed on a foldable table. Yeah, you can tell what happened
I have two PC's at my desk (Linux & Windows). I use a suptek vertical dual mount with matching 27" curved monitors. It really is great to free up all that desk space.
@@BootSequence When I build a new gaming PC my old one becomes my Linux system. So even though I mostly use it for stock investments and home office tasks. I have gamed it on it several times. Not into crypto mining but I could have used it for that, not that the Vega 56 would the fastest. lol
How can you review these two products without ever taking them out of the box?? Waste of time, I don’t need someone to spit out Huanmo’s marketing material back at me, I can read it all on their website fine
huh ? You can clearly see me use them in the video.... I test them, film from home , write my review, bring it to the office for B-roll and put them back in the box if they need to be inventoried, film the video, edit, post and if I like them, Ibring them back home for personal use. Dafuq are you talking about ?
Have you done a review of the Huanuo model HNDS17B? Please respond, I'm looking for a quality dual arm for 32"/27" monitors that don't break the bank. Really gunshy since the 32" is a full QD_OLED monitor.
@@BootSequence Do you really think that adds any benefit to the quality of the video? You could just hire some chick to talk about your content and you'd get much more engagement.
@@BootSequenceWell here's to hoping you get more "engagement" for the benefit of the video. Hopefully it's quality improves as a result, I wish your channel the very best!
In all honesty. I just wanted to make sure you knew I had purchased it prior and loved the product. Didn't want any bias from the "free product" part. I do think this product is amazing though.
This is a very basic info you can find shopping on the website. He obviously doesn’t use the products why you listen to him at all? He doesn’t talk about space requirements and long term use damage on his desk if any. This is useless.
Thanks for the review! But it’s doesn’t match my needs, can you recommend me one that tilts up to 90 degrees? So I can rest my hand on it, I need that for my pen display for drawing comfortably
Get affiliate programs. Sure, I'd like to see a good table build. Your IKA can be as good as new with a new thin film or laminated, the important thing is the build which you already have; so don't throw away a perfectly good table 'coz looks. The post should have teeth to clamp spring braces and an adjustable pressure over-clamp to it, for easier adjusting. @1:40 OMG, quick! send him money! he's telling us he sold his dog to buy a new monitor!
hahahaha, I got her back from the pawn shop. As for the ikea table and shelving unit, I think it they outlived their life expectancy with how horrible I treated them.
@@BootSequence Unless the integrity of the wood is bad, which doesn't look so, is repairable; but of course 1st world people like to throw away even new stuff, and are addicted to get new stuff all the time; that's why Dumpster Diving is a way of life for some people
I assure you , the IKEA table is not wood. its particle board on the edges, and corrugated cardboard in the middle. check out this video of the inside ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9vNRY6natiY.html
@@BootSequence The internal doors of my house, are wood chips compacted and glued, I really like them 'coz they light, so I don't mind them at all, all the contrary, I'm a fan; 35 years and solid, working like new, so all depends on the Integrity, if it's good, and the glue is solid, then should be OK to repair. But if you mean is weak and breaking up, sure replace it
Neither. Tbh the best dual monitor arm setup is…. Two single arms. As someone who used to work selling these. Nothing beats the flexibility compared to these dual arm setup.
I just got the HNDS8 and the dual arms are great, However, a warning for anyone with desk grommet holes of 3.15" (e.g. Jarvis, Uplift, etc.) that the bottom plate is not wide enough to support the grommet mount option.
I have two 27 inch monitors and I need them to be 6 inches off the desk and a few inches forward since there's a raised part of the desk in the way. Does anybody know if the HNDS6 would be able to fit them?
Ya true I bought the one with the pole . It’s aight but the freedom isn’t there . I can’t make it all the way back coz the pole . Good thing i can return it on Amazon.
I know this was 11 months ago but I plan on getting one of these duel monitor arm setups after I buy a new office chair from Costco and a new desk. I might go with the Ikea desk setup like a lot of people own. The ones with the drawers. New subscriber here.
That sounds great. Please budget a couple of inches of space behind the desk (3-4) for the arms. Depending on the setup it might be required for the adjustment of the arms
Yeah, the legs are down below!! Nice explanation on the Gas Arms by the way. I just bought a normal dual monitor arm (it didnt cost me much, thats a relief)
what kind of arm do you recommend? I have two 27 inch monitors. The monitor arm with bar or the other one? The two from the video as an example. HNDS6 or HNDS8 😢
I use the hnds6 for my 2 27 inches. It's great. I'd recommend it. If, for any reason, you want to separate the screens a lot, hnds8 is good for that ! Link in description of you want , but you don't have to :).
Much easier to stack the monitors on top of each other, and the possibility of using only one monitor for now and expand in the future. Plus, the HNDS8 can handle larger monitors.
I have the same one that you bought in 2020 and I am having such a tough time having both monitors aligned to the same height. Any advice that you can share to show how to align to the same height.
You can always pull the desk away from the wall. It only needs 3-4 inches for the best result on a pair of 27 inch monitor. I just think the height adjust makes a huge difference.
@@BootSequenceI wish I had the room for 3 or 4 inches. There is a reason I have it right against the wall. Plus things tend to fall down behind if you got a gap at the back.
Still using the cheaper one on my personal display. And I do move it it around pretty often. Would 100% recommend. Go for the bigger option if you want more movement, but the smaller one I cant say a single bad thing. It's great!
Yes it will! It's a 100x100 adapter so no problems :). Hope this helps and use my link if you don't mind. It helps me a ton and won't cost you anything. If you have any other questions, I'm here for ya !
Hi, my problem is how to be able to place two 32" monitors side by side horizontally, taking up as little space as possible inside the desk and no space outside as it is attached to the wall. Is possible to do such thing orienting both arms or upper arms all to the left or right?
ideally, you would go with 2 arm mounts. but the larger option does allow for dual 32 inches. its just not very flexible as in the will only be viewable in a very obtuse angle.
@@BootSequence Obtuse angle should be fine considering that the two monitor are curved and it could be useful to dispose them in a sort of arch shape..the only issue is how the baricentre could be maintained. Traditional configurations with arms take at least 30cm of desk..so i really need to place both arms parallel to the wall. I wonder if I could align monitor putting those arms in the opposite direction like "frog legs" instead of putting them in almost the same direction at the expense of the center of gravity...
I want a stacked monitor setup w/ PG27AQDM & Koorui 27E1QA (Both 27 in) would this support the weight of both or does anyone have other recommendations for these 2 monitors?
definitely support the weight. Theres an adjustment knob behind it to increase tension! if anything, going for the S8 version might be a better idea for greater mobility.
Do you mean falling down? If so, there's a Allen key spot at the back joint. Sticking the included Allen key and rotating counter clock wise, half a turn at a time and check if the monitor still falls
As much as I’ve missed the regular boot sequence daily updates, I’m looking forward to this series you have planned I have the pillar mount (you know the one you paid for with your own money 😂) for my setup and it’s really good holds well but only have one complaint about it…. That when you tilt the monitor downwards it looses the tension and the screen just faces the table and I have to retighten the tilt bracket again, you’ll have to let me know if you have that issue too Otherwise the table mounting and arms are study as…. Love the flooring table great repurposing example
@@BootSequence no never reached out to the manufacturer, I just put it down to something I did wrong when mounting the monitors or the 32” ultra wides is too heavy plus I only ever turn one monitor into a new position for when I split the two screens up into two independent gaming setups for the kids to play nice with each other and then back for when I’m editing or streaming with the second system I never have need to tilt the screen, so when it does tilt down I just quickly tighten it back up and tell the kids to stop touching the screens I’ve had the mount for a year or so will be pass the warranty Would never go back to monitor stands again after have mounting arms, oh the three glory hole of shame put me in stitches
