I grew up about 30 miles from Johnson Valley. Beam basically mapped King Of The Hammers which I find absolutely awesome. They did a fantastic job on the trophy truck and the ultra 4 car.
I've grown up in that area racing and have been to Johnson valley many times and I love the attention to detail on some of the vehicles and just the camp. It really did look a little bit like King of the hammers
I grew up in yucca valley/ morongo basin. I spent nearly every weekend and major holiday camping and riding there. Was so happy to see this so realistically created in BeamNG, aswell with some awesome vehicles that behave just like the real thing. Super impressive.
@@wyatt8378 I grew up in Yucca Valley and 29 Palms. I spent most of my young life riding in the area and the back road to Big Bear. It's super cool to see Beam map out Johnson Valley.
I finally relented and bought BeamNG in the steam sale - been curious about it for ages, and yours and 'Car Pal's videos show it off really well! Call me shallow, but the recent visual upgrade really helped that decision too. I love seeing how the game just keeps getting better and better.
If you go into the part configuration menu for the Wydra, the final drive on that has 3 different options, 3.30:1 by default on some versions but it goes all the way down to 2.25:1 so it tops out at almost 40 mph on land, and the Stambecco also has adjustable final drives albeit with way more adjustment possibilities.
Jeff not sure if you've checked it out yet, but if you head to the west side of the map there is a hole in the fence to access the bonus Salt Flats area. Can top out cars there, pretty fun. The entrance is near the pointy tip of the salt flats. Great video as always, I've been enjoying this update myself.
Man the crazy amount of content focused around offroading for this update has me excited for the future; I wonder if we'll see more major updates focused around different genres, like street racing, ems, hauling (like trucks, 8x8s, maybe even half tracks). But just shout-out to the amount of variations to each vehicle they release, like 5 vehicles? More like 20
There’s also an off-road version of the regular D-series D45 ambulance, the only thing that’s really changed is basically much bigger tires and a suspension lift, otherwise it’s nearly identical to the existing regular ambulance we’ve had for ages, which seems nearly pointless in my opinion because you could just use the vehicle part configuration menu to basically modify the existing one with the same features
great to see ya back in BeamNG Jeff, also hope you get well asap. im sure you know this but probably forgot to mention it but now you can refuel your cars aswell. i had alot of fun just watching al the crazy stuff you did. i would like to see you do some baja racing but with the steering wheel i think its gonna be alot of fun. loved it.
