Today we are testing out the new Fastace 2.0 forks fitted with the 60lbs spring! I remove my Bomber 58 which cost me £1400 including the drop crown as these were the best option for fork upgrade back in 2022.
Since then Fast Ace have developed one of the first e-bike specific forks and today we have the second iteration! I have tested many forks including fox 40, bomber 58, KKE, DNM, Manitou Dorado, EXT Ferro and the Fast Ace 1.0 - These forks are by far the BEST!
Infact they are so good that my brother also wants a pair to replace his new fox 40's after trying mine!

Fix your front break cable it’s not supposed to be on the outside of the fork
@stingyrogerr
@stingyrogerr 8 месяцев назад
I changed it after the video once the bike got cleaned up, I routed it this way due to the fact my brake cable has a small split on it which was taped over temporarily and bending it the opposite way would have made it worse. I changed the cable and routing the following day 👍🏻 Thanks for watching and good eagle eyes 👀

EXT Ferro forks & EXT Arma mx shock 🙌🏻 you’ll have the best feeling talaria or surron out there
@stingyrogerr
@stingyrogerr 8 месяцев назад
I have tried that combination, i still have the EXT ARMA MX shock on both my two bikes but the ferro forks didnt feel as good as the 60lb 2.0 fast aces, I found them to have less small bump compliance, similar heavy impact absorption but they also looked way too thin on the bike and had a touch more deflection than the fast ace. I know they will probably last a bit longer between rebuilds but for me the fast ace do feel better! For trail and enduro style use on initial riding the fast ace win for me - we will see how they hold up! My riding group also agree with me!!! I tested them a few months back one of the first sets in the UK 👍🏻 Thanks for watching. I didn’t believe it either until I tried them !

@@stingyrogerr heard all great things about them and fastace they’re great in the pit bike world👌🏼 I stand by ext because they are built & designed for these bikes specifically all the other parts are kinda retro fitted mountain bike parts
@stingyrogerr
@stingyrogerr 8 месяцев назад
@TheRuckusBoyz you make a valid point. I was sceptical until I felt these! Theres more adjustment on the ferro’s thats for sure! Ferro’s also win for build materials but even looking at the construction on the 2.0 fast aces - they could probably retail them at $1000 and still be good value! - I think the retailers have to make the ferro’s sound and look way ahead of these to sell them onto people who already dropped their $2000+ on fox 40’s 2 years ago 💔 Thanks for the comment i really appreciate and value multiple outlooks!

@@stingyrogerr thanks, thers also a Fastace 2.0 custom tuned version with better skf seals, shims usw for 1000€, is it worth it in your opinion?
@stingyrogerr
@stingyrogerr 2 месяца назад
@Jagi603 no. The seals dont blow if you have the heavier spring rate, only on the 38lb non progressive version from constant bottoming out. They feel great as they are i think partly a marketing scheme for retailers to make more money by ‘tuning’ them

My mx4 is stock if I wanted an increase in speed would I just need controller and battery?
@stingyrogerr
@stingyrogerr 7 месяцев назад
For an mostly increase in acceleration and small 5mph increase in top speed the controller snd battery will do this. Unfortunately with mx4 the motor has low kv rating and peak rpm (8100) so you will need to upgrade the motor for any speed over 58mph. Mine is mx3 so just battery and controller get me over 70mph as my mx3 motor better than mx4 motor

Hi, I dont think I will get a reply, but is the 60lbs spring good if my body weight is 132? I feel like that would be too heavy, but idk...
@stingyrogerr
@stingyrogerr 8 месяцев назад
Yeah buddy it would be perfect for you! Anyone over 120 needs the 60lb spring! The adjuster wheel on the top of the fork means you can soften it up a lot more than you think or stiffen it a load for jumps - you’ll find your setting with the 60lb spring, i weigh similar to you! 👍🏻👊🏻🤘🏻
