Some other things that for some people might be useful to consider when comparing this with the Asus in the video 1. Philips monitor has Power Delivery and USB-C input, while the Asus does not have USB-C input 2. Asus does not have AMD FreeSync PRO (this is from their documentation) These were the 2 things that convinced me to go with the Philips model over Asus Good job on the review!
The review sample you've got has an older firmware. They've added "Unibright" option with v1.11. So no more dimming. Ambiglow is still useless though, in fact I'm on v1.12 and they've removed the ability to follow video. It's greyed out.
As a philips TV owner with ambilight, I was massively disappointed by ambiglow. They literally have all the tech to make it great, they just don't want to 🤷🏻♂️
Whats the text fringing like using this? You talked a lot about gaming, but for us gamers who also work on other things, hows the readability of text? I know the sub pixel layouts are not a standard RGB and can't find anyone taking about the performance of that. As a web developer who lives inside the code editor it's pretty helpful information to help with a buying decision
@@tomatdoras it is primarily a gaming monitor. If your primary focus is work, I wouldn't recommend it. Text is fine, for day-to-day usage, but I would say you'd want one of the latest Samsung gen 3 QD Oled panels
Hi, I wonder if you can give me some information. There is a 49 inch of this monitor, but I was wondering within the software. Is there a smart sniper mode similar towards the 49?. I say this in respect that I’m considering this monitor, but the wider screen is slightly too big. many thanks for the video. Appreciate that. I hope you could possibly supply me with some form of reply thanks or anybody for that matter that has the correct info.
800 what? Pounds? That's a lot more than this monitor. The C4 for me is $1,797 CAD, this one is $1,097...so no comparison. The 42" C3 however is $1,196 CAD...
@@johnnybravo1204 You can connect it to the display with the include USB C cable. It will charge your laptop and also work as a display cable to show your display on the Philips monitor
