I don’t think there is anyone better at product reviews than Omar. Even if he’s not being genuine I would never know nor would I care. He is the product bible
Omar you're doing a great job with your reviews and content. You really continue the original vibe that Sean brought while still making it your own. Very easy to watch, very informative. I keep getting blown away by this camera so versatile. Lots of great recommendations for accessories too. Keep up the great work!
A tip (if you are using Premiere) when using mics with stereo-sound and two mono-clips "baked in". BEFORE putting them on your timeline, select the clips in your project bin and press "clip - modify - audio channels". In the popup box change the "number of audio clips" to 2 and on the first clip change the checkmarks to left and on the second hit the checboxes to right. After that your Deity Duo's clips will act as though they have two seperate audio-tracks on the timeline :) I use this feature all the time when I record audio with my DJI Mics :) Awesome video btw! Kind regards Jørgen
The Sony shotgun looks and sounds the best by far. A smooth dynamic sound but not overly boomy with nice clarity. wondering if you could run it simultaneously with a 3.5 mm lavalier for street interview scenarios.
DUDE you set me up!! I literally am 300 watched hours from monitizing the YT page and someone commented on my shitty cam(during close-ups), NEVER AGAIN!! Bought the camera and this overview of accessories is AMAZINGLY THOROUGH! Thanks man! Subbed and followed! I'll go over the tips and tricks as soon as i get the camera!
Never let it rest. Til your good is better and your better is best. I'm here again to support the content creator. Thank you for continuous uploading. Greetings to all the viewers here.
Omar, thank you for making this video! I am looking for a vlogging camera upgrade. I was thinking of JUST upgrading my canon g7x mark II to mark III.... because I am not so sure about Sony's vlogging camera quality. But with your videos of camera comparisons, I finally found the upgrade that I wanted. I am going with Sony ZV-E10 and thank you for breaking down the accessories that are needed. Been watching your reviews the past few days because I can't decide what to get! Thank you again! ❤️🥰
Hi Omar. Thank you for your review. I just received my ZV E10 yesterday. The recommendations for the Sony Vlogger kit was also on my list. I bought the Rode Vlogger kit as well and hopefully the mic will sound decent. Definitely like the Diety duo mic and the suggestions for the ND lens and screen protector. Now to start playing with these things. Grownup toys are the best! Thanks again! ☮️
I'm looking to upgrade the quality of my music videos here on RU-vid and can speak for countless others by saying thank you for informing us so well on this stuff!
multi-interface sony shotgun mic and deity mini shotgun sound similar. Also Appreciate the seamless integration of the sony interface and also appreciate the gain setting and boom mounting capability of the deity. I would go with sony shotgun. I luv the neat & compact setup.
Great video Omar! I am new to all of this so am really interested in what accessories you would use to set up a video shooting music. A lot of the videos I’ve seen on RU-vid either focus on vlogging or how to record sound for music, but nothing to bring the two together. I play ukulele and guitar and record videos of me playing / singing (not great!) but would love to see how you would set up anything differently for a music video. Would you do something different with your mics to catch voice vs. the instrument? Where do you plug all this stuff in? How can you edit all this stuff. Anyway, not sure if this is in your wheelhouse, but would be interesting.
Thanks for sharing guys, got to say, for me the Sony shotgun mic sounded the best, plan to get this camera soon so will look to buying something like that 👍
I think the sony gun mic is the best I liked the audio from it and how’s its wireless to keep the set up really clean, recently got this camera and these videos are all super helpful man keep doing updates on the camera looking forward to seeing some more videos
This video was so helpful. I am expecting the Sony ZV-E10 this Saturday as it was shipped and looking into some of these accessories! So appreciate the tips (:
Would there be any difference between using the camera with the DC adapter for the battery or using it while charging via USB-C? The only drawback I can see is that the usb-c connection makes it difficult to see the flip screen. Thank you!
Wow the D4 Duo is so good. Happy that's the one I went with. I liked it because I could use it with my iphone OR a camera when i upgraded which I have now done. Do you have a video that shows how to adjust the gain with the D4 Duo on the ZV e10? A funny moment for me watching this video.... I was recently having SUCH a meltdown not being able to get my mic to work at all with my new camera 😅and watching your video I was like "HEY! That's not where I was plugging the mic in!".... 😂 What a rookie. I had been plugging it in to the headphone jack not the mic jack... That is too embarrassing NOT to share.
I just purchased this camera, seen/heard a lot of great things about it. I feel like it would be perfect for what I'm trying to do (recording various DJ sets for RU-vid). Thanks for these tips! Would you recommend plugging the camera in via USB to use with OBS Studio, or just connect via capture card/HDMI? Is the video quality the same?
this is now my dream camera replacing the canon m50. I am a tech and music youtuber and do unboxings of the producs i by and use so the product showcase feature is a plus for me. also the headphone jack since i plan to be unique and use a headphone to monitor myself while doing my sitdown talking head vlogs.
Man, you guys have to start putting your songs in your description! I love all the music and use epidemic sound myself, but you guys just have the best songs aha
Thanks a lot Man Actually I'm planning to get this Camera Sony ZV-E10 for my RU-vid TECH videos and this video is very helpful I really appreciated WISH U ALL THE BEST
The shotgun mic is a game changer. Night/Day over the onboard! That will be my first add-on. I'm still worried about the 4GB limit :/ Have you found that you lose time when it splits?
Sony gun sounds great compared to on-board. Lav mic sounds muffled...bass heavy...but hey, it's wireless right? The Deity sounds good too, but only front facing one. First test rear mic was very faint, but second time much better. Pretty great for $50
I really need an octopus tripod stand and the lighting that i can use when doing outdoor videos. I am using my android phone to record it is not easy but we keep moving. Thanks for this wonderful video
I agree about the dodginess of the Joby gorilla pod, I'm afraid. I smashed a bit off a camera once when the joby just gave way without warning during a locked off shot up on a kitchen worksurface. It caused the whole thing to topple off the worktop and onto the floor.
I’m very new to photography and videography, and am getting a Sony ZV E-10. I can’t afford to buy a ton of lenses at once, but I’d like a lens that can be used for talking head videos indoors, as well as cooking videos (so slightly lower lighting), and taking photographs of gemstones/jewelry. I cut opals, and struggle to get good shots of them. It may be impossible to find a lens that can do both, but if you had to pick a starter, which would you choose for those options? And if I could afford two, which two would you select for those criteria? Thank you in advance for any advice you can give. I’ve watched your videos, but not sure I know enough to select without asking first. Thanks❤
Excellent video, loved the mic setup too. Quick question: would any of these mics still work well if you’re not vlogging? I’m not usually that close to the camera with my current setup. Or, would a more expensive camera be what’s best if it’s for RU-vid videos but not a vlog? I’m considering going the mirrorless route after owning a DSLR for years, they’re just so big and bulky!
Fantastic Video. I was hoping you would sound test the ECM-G1. The bigger Sony you tested sound pretty darn good. Any clue how they compare? There are better deals on the BIG one, but, it's.... BIG. :)
I'm kind of split between the Deity mics and the sony shotgun mics, dig the sound from all 3 of them. Interestingly I didn't find the lav mic from sony that impressive in comparison to other mics maybe bcz its more professional like or maybe its too warm of a sound but yeah definitely the on-board mic can work around for normal uses, definitely buying one of those mics. Great Video Omar, loved the vibe too, the home setup was just so good to look at 😁😁
