First grey knights one I’ve seen. I’ve got the first resin one they did and I love it. A great center piece to my blood angels army. Don’t use it as often as I’d like but it is a beast and a must in an Armageddon game
I watched this with the sound off as my youngest son is watching Cebeebies but the good thing about minatures, they speak volumes on their own. Amazing detail. Your paint job makes the each part pop. Shame I would have to remortgage to buy one lol!
Congratualtions Winters, I can't wait to see it being deployed alongside your gorgeous GK, escorted by your other flyers perhaps :) It's glorious, but I must say that Sultan's model still takes the cake (nostalgia points).
I have the previous one, i prefer the old one rear area with the wings but really like how they did the front of the newer one. All in all the only issue is putting them on a base
Looks great! I always enjoy looking at the model pictures on Forge World’s website, but seeing one in different colours gives a whole new feeling to it. I believe that in the detail pics of the Stormbird- they have a Storm Eagle, a Thunderhawk, and a Stormbird all in the same shot, so you can really get a sense of scale. The Stormbird may be bigger, but in my opinion, the Thunderhawk is easily the more handsome flyer, by a mile. I find the Stormbird kind of ugly, but not in a good way like a Land Raider. That said, I only have a Storm Eagle, myself. The Thunderhawk is just out of my price range for the foreseeable future, and if I were to spend that kind of money, I’d most likely go the Reaver Titan route. Anyway- just my rambling opinion- thanks for taking the time to share it with us!
Gorgeous model - got one sitting in the bottom of a draw unbuilt from 2005 - not made the top of the build list yet - plans for it to be part of a Emperors Spears or Raven Guard army. Best model? its close, my Khornate Warhound is up there as is Mortarion, Karn and the Deathshroud Terminators.
It is fabulous! I would love to have one just to use as a set piece! I dont think I'd ever get to run it in a game but just to have it on the table.....
Such an amazing model. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills to build it, let alone paint it. Can't wait to see this thing in some of your future battle reports.
Did they forget to paint the black parts of the right wing's heavy bolters ? It's a bit hard to see to be sure, but it stuck out a bit flat. otherwise, an awesome model with an awesome paint job.
Enjoyed this, even more so because the music i had going on the background started playing flight of the valkryies! Now if I didn't have to sell one of my body parts (or my first born) to get one in Australia....

I would very much like to know the total price of that model ! I don't play atm, but that looks well good enough to have as a display ! It's just, there's No possible way I could ever make it look like that !!
It's very smart to make it Inquisition, because then you can use it for any imperial army. I did this with a Land Raider and Valkyrie. You could use it with Blood Angels one game then Dark Angels the next.
I hate how my Falchion was really nerfed with the update. S14 with a Volcano Cannon?? And now only 2D3 shots vs 2D6 from 8th ed. Damage 6 is nice, but I will be lucky if I kill a Land Raider in one shooting phase with the main gun.
