I feel like this is the best or one of the best way to earn SL. Obviously till you die lol somehow out of like 7 games I didn't get destroyed(even in full uptiers). Probably playing at around 5.0br is the best. What's your best way to earn SL?
A way better way to grind sl I use: playing air sim battles with jets and bombing bases. If you learn how to fly jets at a decent level you can make a lot of sl. For example I make almost 100k for every 1 hour match, with my highest record being 400k in a 2 hours match
Yea like when you're about to finish someone who has no gunner and no driver and is critically damaged And out of nowhere another tank shell comes flying or a plane bombs the shit out if him
My2c: Grind the "free" season vehicles and aim for a War Bond vehicle as well. In the process of getting to lvl50-odd for the Season Pass vehicle one can easily cover the 10-15 Special Tasks and some of the WB vehicles can give spectacular returns for their BR. Just logging in daily alone gets one to lvl 30, add in daily tasks and lvl50 is actually peasy AND you'll accrue enough War Bonds for even a 3600WB vehicles. SL/min (non-premium) Whatever can take a bombzone in a single pass (two can be done with some vehicles) plus an assist air kill, die and Return To Hanger can really racks the monies up AND be done every 5-7min. The win bonus is still a healthy amount to aim for rather than Bomb & Bail. For fighter types, nail those AI Attackers/Bombers and then help clean up the PvP side of things or snot ground targets and gain Antimech/Thunderer A little less regularly but can score solid values per game are stuff like P-47s/Bf110s/Pe-2s/SM91/Hellcats/Helldivers where pop a zone and/or chew ground targets claiming Thunderer (+5000SL) and a good change for Mission Maker (+5000SL) as well. For Ground RB, if you have a line up that with regularity sees you in the top 3 roll with it. Gaining Wingman/Mission Maker/Heavy Metal Hero and a trolly Skill Matters/God Mode plus Balancer all add up. SL per game will always be owned by Ground, Sim, CAS. It's crazy what Do 335 Sim pilots rack up. I miss EC RB so hard for this reason. Chuck on some boosters, you don't even have to perform very well, just do a few ground strikes, shoot down a couple of planes
Only downside is that it do require one to have ...what's the word, ah yes: talent :P I find it odd how many people per match [RB matches that is] don't crack 800-1,000 pts in a match (especially in Tank RB). One&Done's, bad luck and RageQuits I get, but seeing 1/2 - 2/3s of both teams strikes me as weird.
The fastest method for me personally is to grind God mode in air ab, its better if you get jets in more than one faction, you bring out one jet and two props at low BR, this take three crew slots, and once you get the God mode, quit battle and two other plane will be locked, now just equip another jet and a prop and repeat, usually by the time you finished the second battle the first two vehicles are unlocked, if don't, just go to another tree and repeat. I have done an experiment once and got 200k in 30 minutes, without premium or booster. But honestly I don't think this can be replicated by everyone, I have tried to teach others to do the same and just realised that they can't do it with such consistency.
Never expected to see Dollar playing an Italian ship, especially the Zara since it's not a bad ship but not a super good ship. Either way i love the Zara-class ships.
Zaras are really cool. I also love the story of how the commitee of the washington naval treatys just saw her from the other side of the harbor and just went "NOPE, no way in hell this thing fits the regulations"
@@DOLLARplays Could you please try out the other italian cruisers (pss 5.3 is fun really fun) and I mean even the 5.0 trento class is a battleship in disguise
This looks very promising until you realise that you have to play the cruisers and destroyers getting farmed for kills to unlock a battleship. Great vid as always. Naval is such an underrated part of wt. It is always nice to see content about it.
Itd be nice if they didnt make it so a destroyer is somehow a lower BR than a BB despite the fact they fill completly different rolls and DDs are literaly made to kill BBs.
@@joey_ramone_96 the entire point of destroyers is to be fast and agile and release a screen of torpedos to destroy any slow (battleship) ships that get into a bad position.
Well if it's Domination game mode the time is about the same. Since they don't last long in naval, and if you play around 4.7 that's(Domination) what you're going to get most of the time
@@DOLLARplays someone somewhere told many of those people to just play it, die, then hangar out and wash rinse repeat. So what happens in matches is half the team is in a "one & done" Moffett. when they die they leave. I have to hurry to kill more of their "one and done's" before the other team kills our "one and dones" in order to affect a win. Many of these players that do this also hide in back and spawn in the cruiser spawn to live longer. It would be better for them to just play out their three ships and learn the mode than do the one and done thing. It cheapens the experience
@@tugbobo02 the one death leave guys are bot programm most likely. They often get stuck / beached, never carry torpedos, can't aim for weak spots, use only he insteed of AP or SAP, sail in straight line 90% of the time). You can kill a Moffet bot but if a Moffet is actually controled by a real player you have no hope to win unless you are in a cruiser or battleship. Same story for most Helena and Zhelenziakov or whatever is called the Russian light cruiser. It's so easy to get torpedo kill with them since they don't dodge.
Yess silver BUT Can we all take time just to appreciat the way Dollar stay calm in any situation in war thunder, no rage sign show , no frustration sign show , dammm i would like to be able to stay calm like him 😂
@@Arthur_Neves yeah he doesn't have to care about silver but without thinking about this, some random ""bug"" in the game like biais moment can be enough to rage. So we can deny this man is pretty calm or just good with self control.
I recently started playing boats more and I hope that I will get my hands on the new Haruna battleship. For some reason I enjoy these long naval battles
Most naval games finish in 10-20 minutes if its a 3 cap which is most often the gamemode, ive played thousands of naval games and the money is much much better than in ground
True, but I guess it depends what gamemode you're playing. Domination matches ends pretty quick in naval, and if you play lower tier that's pretty much what you gonna get
If you want to earn SL you take the japanese 109 E-7 at 2.3 with 675% SL modifier, sealclub all day and make 50 - 100k SL every game. And you help to balance the game since a 3.0 plane has nothing to do at 2.3, and we have to drive the statistics up so gaijin rebalances it. Until then its the best SL grinder in ther game imho.
I actually use it in my 3.0 lineup lol, It's my SLfarm lineup with this Bf109, Corsair, Ki-44 otsu (40mm), Ki-44 shoki, A7He1, Ki-109, N1K1(naval) and Ki-21 hei for bombing ground targets Plus 3.0 is actually a nice BR to be, high enough so allies aren't total apes but low enough so the ennemies aren't PGMs who can dogfight your japanese fighters with US interceptors...if you know what I mean...cought XP-50 cought
My tired and tested SL printer is the soviet P-47 or Wyvern. The trick is waiting around 10-15 minutes into the match where the rewards are high(they increase with time). Then just farm the AI planes and ground units and any low flyers players. Can make 100k if I'm lucky in one game.
WT is very much structure to facilitate (require?) Pay to Win. To the point where the meta-game is to try to make progress without giving the Snail any monay. Yeah, Naval is a good way to grind SL (and crew XP). Because if you work from home etc. its not as attention intensive as ground or air (even bombers). You can point at a cap point, set the main batteries to local control (AI), and go do other things. You don't do as well of course, but its a way of burning those 10-20x 10-15% SL boosters. When not playing a bot, I find Tier II big boats has the highest average return since repair costs are negligible and a good game can get a half dozen kills, etc. All those quick fire guns at close range means you can constantly "ca-ching ca-ching ca-ching" the hit SL.
I mostly play naval and have 43M SL. Started playing about 2 years ago. Insane that they put the Moffett in the war bond shop. I've had pretty average games in it earning 400k with a booster. Highest I've ever earned was 830k with a 500% booster and a winning anti-mech order.
got the j35 A and the pyörremyrsky in the 10 year sale and grinded the sweeden tree but i usually take jets, the j35A and the pyörremyrsky(most important for the grind) Into Air Arcade because if i get a kill with the pyörremyrskyi usually get the award "God Mode!" (Destroyed a vehicle 5 or more BR ranks higher.) wich alone is 30k SL(but does not stack) and usually if you get some kills and get a few ground targets its easy to get 60-100k SL per match that is 20 min max
Helicopter PVE mode (maybe not as efficient because the games can be very long depending on the team and tasks) give a lot of cash too, and if you die the repair cost is reduced.
Hmmm Mr.Plays i believe that Heli PvE is better. On an avarage game you get about 100k (no prem and starter heli) for 50min of play. It doesnt sound impressive but you are vs Ai, results are reliable and the boosters work (keep in mind that they last for 30min so use multiple missions ones). Compared to the naval game of 23min and 23k Sl , its more than duble. Ps. i use the italian Heli, its the fastest starter (move to new points quick is a must), has small miniguns and not mg like the others so you can farm stationary light targets and M113s (not the light tanks). Only difficulty are the rockets, only 14, but if you slow down under 100km/h and stay at 25/30% they go as straight as an arrow.
I have the BT-5 in all of my lineups, but it's hard as fuck to get a kill and you have to be either sneaky as fuck or agile enough that the enemy can't turn towards you. It's a double-edged swords. I had a match where I killed 2 Leopards and 1 Centurion in a quick succession with it and another match where I was literally top 2 at the end and was only driving the BT-5, but I also had quite alot of matches where I could not even capture a point. I also don't want to be less useful for my team, so I usually just capture a point and then try going for kills as quick as possible. I personally wish to one day have the BT-7 with the 76mm cannon due to its ability to scout and much, much better explosive filler.
Helicopter battles are the best way to get Silver Lions. The ammo recharges automatically and you just fly over a very large map and turn off the AI targets that appear. You can get about 30,000 SL or much more out of each game. There is no BR limit and so it happens that all BR fly and some of course are faster than others and have better weapons. But if you accept long distances, you can also get to destinations that others don't fly to. Such a helicopter battle takes a little longer than e.g. tank battles but it's worth it. I thought it would be almost impossible to get shot down by the NPC's because I've never been shot down before. But it's possible to get shot down, I saw that in the losses at the end. Some were even shot down 2-3 times or more or crashed. I've never been shot down by the AI before. If you just need SL and take a long time to do it, you should play helicopter battles. Easily earned Gijin Lion Digital Silver
Well, if you have a blowout round in mid-tier ground RB (5.3 or so) with a 10-15% booster and premium account, you can look at up to 100k SL in a match. But, since we’re talking about 10+ kills with maybe 1 death, that’s a unicorn match. You could alternatively go and club 1.0-1.3 with Germany, get 10+ kills constantly, earn ~20k per match. Or go to top tier in a missile SPAA and whack aircraft as soon as they spawn, make an easy 30k for little to no effort. The possibilities are endless!
yeah, I tend to only use my Lion Boosters when running my Davis/Moffett combo (with the Porter as third vessel). According to the leaderboards I avg 139k Lions a match. I do this to supplement the expenses of the other modes and the mistakes I make there LoL The other night I ran a 10 mission challenge to make 2 million Lions w/ a variety of lion boosters from the Battle Pass and managed to come up a little short at 1.76 million mainly because of uptiering
I earn all of my SL in Naval. I like to go in with the 6.0 Pittsburgh and survive until the end. I always have a vehicle backup on me, even if I have to buy them in the warbucks shop or whatever it is. So, yeah, make SL in naval RB. Lose it in ground RB. Takes months upon months of ground RB to unlock the next 9.0+ vehicle. Game is getting ridiculous at this level. For the record, the US Heavy Cruisers are not all built the same. The Pittsburgh may have 8 inch shells like the others before it, but its AP ammo has more pen AND more explosives than the other two. It's always impressive at the damage it can dish out AND receive. Combine that with the 6x "2 x 5 inch" turrets and the radar on top and you can knock planes out from 8+km away with manual aim. Beastly heavy cruiser. It's no Scharnhorst "battlecruiser". But it can take out a battleship. Can't really hurt the Scharnhorst unless you're pretty close. But.. nothing can lol. Scharnhorst OP as all get out.
Personally, the way i make money is by using a "derp gun tank". Nothing feels better than 1 shotting tanks way above your "paygrade" and seeing a "skill matters" or "god mode" pop up. Unfortunatly not every faction can do that, and it takes a while before being actually an effective way of getting SL as you need to rank up before those awards start popping up. China for example has no early way to do that, the earliest derp gun is the ISU 152 (unless im forgetting one) and thats a 4.7 so you would need to go to 9.7 for a god mode, sweden on the other hand has a 1.7 derp gun, the Spj fm/43-44 aka the swedish trumpet. I spoke of sweden and china because its the 2 factions i main, i am aware of the german brummbar at 1.0 is one of the best (if not the best) derp gun. Plus, Derp guns are really fun to use TL:DR Want SL? Get a Derp gun and have some Derp Fun!
My SL printing method: J6K1 + japanese M41 at 6.0 Use the M41 to get into the J6K1 fast then hunt air targets all match. Bring ground belts and you can take out soft targets with ease. J6K1 is a beauty and prints SL every match. Only downside is that the J6K is an event vehicle so kinda hard to so this if you don't already own it.
BV-238 + premium account + booster = ca. X00.000 SL/battle. If you know, what you're doing. Without premium account and boosters - low br. Cheap repair cost + lots of kills + rather quick battles will kinda fast elevate your SL amount. In bonus low br isn't high br so it is actually fun to play.
Absolute easiest way to grind sl. Go into air assault arcade get your booster. Then same with ground assault arcade. Then make your way to Germany and use the ju288c with your booster equipped. Equip the 2 2k bombs. Cruise at a slight downward dive at 645 kmh unless it's snow map then 635 kmh. Deliver payload on the enemy base and rtb to go again. A bad round is at least 65k a good round with 3 or 4 bases will be upwards of 300k with no boosters.
Love your creative videos their like no other. I like the fallout bunker mention because I personally like fallout new vagas. The rest of the video I kept laughing because the relatable side picture edits a clips lol stress gone lol
More naval content from dollar ? Dude your Navy matches have a been a joy to watch . Been enjoying naval myself as well. Cant wait to see video on Haruna !
Well, it's quite simple, if you think about it. Do you die a lot? Pick a vehicle that doesn't cost a lot. You basically never die? Than repair doesn't matter. Check the ammo cost (standard shells are free, so vehicles with good standards are awesome, so most german mid-tiers are great picks) and you got a winner. So, just play a gamemode you enjoy, pick vehicles you generally do well in (as long as they fit the points above) and just go. Don't do what some guy on YT tells you to be THE BEST way, if it doesn't match your skills and preferences, you won't gain anything but frustration. Bonus strategy: If you get big %-SL boosters try to use one of those mission-things you can start in a match (forgot the name) that multiply your earnings if you win them. Don't push too hard on them though, cause if you play like an idiot once you start one, you won't win anything.
You forgot to take time into consideration. Per match, you can probably get more in naval, sure. But look at the battle timer: In naval, you got 23k in 23min21sec. In ground, you got 19k in 10min57sec. you could play two ground battles for a total of 38k in the same timeframe that one naval battle gives you 23k How about this: Play naval for 2 hours straight, count SL. Then, play ground for 2 hours straight, count SL. You will see that ground still gives you the most per-minute/per-hour SL. My go-to strategy for SL is Cobra King + backup + Prem account + Ground Arcade. Prints money like nothing else.
If playing Naval, Moffet is the real money maker. It's the most broken DD, it can kill cruisers when uptiet, it avoid battleship uptier and got a big SL modifier
Sure, overall you make more, but you spend twice the time per match so in theory tanks or even planes are more profitable If you do alright consistently. But, we all know how that goes! What works for me is bring a line up with a premium and tanks you're good at and just play. Add premium time to the mix and you'll do at least 200k+ in a few hours (8-12 games) at most. Although honestly, If you got premium time, you can just forget about losing money If you're ok at the game, don't even need a premium vehicle.
I'm pretty sure the rewards screen does not automatically subtract out repair and ammo costs from your SL earnings unless that's a thing that has been recently changed
If you want to make SL play some Ju288c. One good match, even a loss will give you 100k SL with premium. But on average you will make 30-60k per match and they are faster than Naval matches.
my recommendation is to get yourself a fast premium bomber like the A-26 and destroy some bases and maybe get a chasing enemy plane with the .50 cals and you get 100k easily
Helicopter PvE with Booster you can get from Gound or Air Assault 300-500% no bs match making just a relaxing time even if the matches take 30 -45min the amount of your reward is based by how long and activ you are in a match. i do it regulary and its quite fun since there are no rolands anymore.
Premium french vautour before missiles\uptier was a cash\grind machine, in a 7 minute game i'd make 30-50k sl and 15-30k RP, grinded out 98% of my french tree that way, until missiles became prevalent and it faced supersonic jets.
Nothing is more satisfying than one shotting a battleship, not only because of those sweet lions but the fact that i know that hurt their soul losing 30,000~ lions 1 minute into a match
i recently found a really good way to earn SL (atleast for me). Go in a match with a PT-76-B and a backups with boosters on and try to survive, PT have a low repair cost so its not as painful repairing it if you die. i made 390k sl with this strategy
Best way to get SL is to grind one of the battlepass crate vehicles (in warbond shop) for a free premium; or during a crafting event to sell craftable stuff on marketplace, then accumulate GJN to buy one of the GE packs with it, and buy a premium vehicle... all for free. And now you don't have to play naval!
