Thanks for helping! I’ve been starting to cook more and I love it! I’m not sure why but it would usually take me up to 20min to clean it, now it takes about 10 min, thanks for posting this video!
Thank you for this video it's very helpful ☺️ I was wondering though, how can I clean the chicken to remove that slightly annoying after taste that chicken can have unless you put spices to cover it up... I heard putting the chicken in vinegar helps remove that 'zankha' , I've tried it but it's not a perfect fix... Any specific method you use? Thank you 😊
It's important to buy your chicken fresh. It should not have after taste or smell. You can rub it with Salt then rinse it well. The salt will absorb the slimy you can get in a whole chicken.
noticed you did not wash hands before putting your hand into that Zeina Spice, is it safe to do so, can you still use left over spice for other stuff ?
Thank you for asking. I only put a couple of tablespoons or what i think you will need in a small plate. Once my fingers touch the spice, after handling chicken, I don’t use it for anything else.
Do you do the paper towel instead of washing the chicken? My mother says we should but people online say you don't have to. I think you use the paper towel to get rid of the film instead of washing it.
Good question Veronica. If it's chicken breast, I only wipe them. If it's a whole chicken, I will rub it with salt to remove all slime and then rinse in cold water. I would not waste lemon here.
I was going to ask the same thing… it’s the Caribbean in me😂 My mom cleans the chicken with vinegar, salt, and lemon juice, and boiling hot lemon water. That’s what I thought cleaning was, and I just want a clear answer. Do we cook the chicken to kill the bacteria or does the way my mom does it effective?
I don't put the chicken breasts under water. I simply wipe it with a Scott towel. You can rinse it with a splash of vinegar if you want. Rinse well and dry well.
