I just got into knife collecting. I'm a Carpenter and I'm going to make me own case. I'm also going to make a coffee table in the shape of the Yeager-M. Heading to get the wood today.
@miketye2805 it took a lot of time to do. If I ever make another one I could definitely do better. It was trial and error but it turned out great. It's an awesome table.
I do really like this storage option to display our best edc knives. I currently store all of mine in a Apache 3800 weatherproof case from harbor freight. Having them out displayed and accessible would be nice and I’d probably switch them up more if I saw them out more often. This will definitely be on my Bday list.
I use the machinist toolbox from harbor freight for storage. Holds watches, lights, knives, chargers, tech, belts... plus it locks and has carry handle if needed
I think it would be cool if they could integrate some kind of door into the acrylic so that you didn’t have to constantly move the top to access the items you put inside. But still a fantastic looking product. I’m going to have to get myself one of these😅
@@lukepaulson3428 For real! I’d imagine that it would keep the acrylic from scratching or getting beat up. I mean I don’t have one so I’m not sure how well the acrylic on these holds up as is. But I’d think the less you handle it, the longer it would stay looking nice. It would also keep finger prints and smudging to a minimum as well.
Damn, I have to stop watching your videos, just got done watching and went out and bought the collector from Holme and Hadfield. I do have to say though, this thing looks beautiful!
They should sell swappable posts so you can have the watch posts mixed in with the split knife posts. But I’ve been eyeing this armory for a while. Might be time to pull the trigger on it over Prime day.
Being in the industry for over twenty years the wood really needs improvement as frankly it looks and feels cheap, the inserts should be able to rotate as to allow perfect positioning. Save your money and get something custom made.
I wish this had cushions instead of posts for the watches. Zero chance I’m storing my watches sideways on a wooden post. Anything precious metal would be scratched ten times more than that acrylic
Will top display allow me to put two folding knives at the corners of the box between the watch post and the clear display case. It would be nice to show off the 2 best knives of the collection along with the watches.
@@davesvarte weiß ich doch 😁 aber ich glaub das war recht günstig für dich ne? 😜 Find der preis is echt OK aber mit Zoll und Versand wollen die nochmal 90 Euro das is es mir nicht wert
I am sad to say that I made a poor decision on split rings and didn’t notice that my topo mini champ fell off at sometime while walking around tried to trace my steps back to find it with no luck today is a sad day indeed
Very attractive! I would say the next option / evolution would be additional drawers. I currently use the Windsor (Gerstner knock-off) cabinets, which are great for storage and look nice, but certainly don't "display" items
I wish I knew the armory was available before I just placed my order for the knife deck through Amazon canada. But then again it didn't come up when I searched products from Holmes and Hatfield only... I definitely have more than 4 knives I'd like to have a top the the main deck, picking 4 is going to Suuuuuuuck 🤦♂️😔
Does anyone know of a pocket organizer that will fit a zippo lighter and airpods gen 2 side by side without them touching? I've searched and many pocket organizer would only fit one of the things or only back to back but that will create a big bulge so that's why I want something that'll fit both side by side. Thanks
I use Snake Belly knife displays I bought them off Amazon. They are $25 a piece not the cheapest way to store knives especially if your like me and have 8 of them. They hold 5 knives a piece no size constraints. I have a RoseCraft blades full aluminum little chonk and it fits perfectly it is 6.6 ounces and a half inch thick
I currently use a ~$30 sunglass case of Amazon for my knives. Has 2 levels of 6 slots (Top level is hinged and bottom is a drawer). I thought about the knife deck but don't want something that you need to lift the top off. I'd rather it have a hinged top.
I own 1 watches, so I get what you are saying. As for the knife deck: A simple cure would be for them to make "plugs" that fit the knife slots. That way, easy watch display conversion. Those are real nice nonetheless, if one wanted a display.
It takes me back to the Myspace days, just picking my TOP 7 like relationships will be strengthened or destroyed based on those decisions. Great looking product. Highly considering picking one up.
Decent watch storage solutions are shockingly rare. I ended up making my own, but the one featured in this video would have been a definite option had I known about it. Price is reasonable too.
I think I’m the only one to lay my knives flat on the top. Clip in the slot. I think it displays the knives much better. Just my two cents but give it a try if you have one
Just my opinion, i think it will be much2 better if they make the acrylic so that it can open up like a chest, just for quick and easy access instead of lifting and taking off the whole acrylic.
I plan on getting this to replace my new “collector”. I’m like exactly what you showcased with the knives and watches on top. I want to use the top to display my watches but have the drawer holding all my knives and pocket tools. That way I only need one box for everything.
Definatly adding those to my gift ideas for myself. Couple of suggestions for H&H 1. would be cool for them to offer a "plug" of some sort to convert a knife post to a watch post 2. even cooler if they made the posts taller to acomidate a knife and a watch (I know that would make it taller) 3. interior compartments need to be more configureable
I’m still getting one, tho. I already have one of those wooden machinists tool chests that fits a massive multitool collection and a few cases for a few dozen pocket knives.
I have a question and need some advice from this community. Any input at all is appreciated. I'm a big fan of EDC gear and have carried at least a knife of some kind my whole life. a few years ago I stopped wearing jeans and only sometimes wear cargo shorts. it's a comfort thing. I now only wear track/athletic pants or basketball shorts. So as you can imagine it is very hard to carry much of anything on me except a knife and even that can be difficult sometimes. I often have a backpack with me so all of my EDC ends up being carried in there but isn't practical bc I don't always have the backpack on me. What can I do? Is there any tips to help me carry a little more or any pants available that are super comfortable but have many pockets or belt loops. I wear cargo shorts in the summer basically just so I can carry stuff but they aren't comfortable to me. I can't stand wearing jeans. I like the silkiness or looseness of track pants and avoid stiff, tight fabric like jeans. please help!
You can look into getting pouches, but because basketball shorts are held up with a drawstring you run the risk of your pants falling down from the weight. You can buy jeans with spandex in them for added mobility, and as an added bonus it'll give you that structure to hold your gear in the pockets.
You can look at “belly band” or athletic holsters, they’re designed for carrying a pistol but most have extra pockets. There are also some companies that make athletic gear specific for edc. Check out “we the people” for some, it unfortunately is not cheap however. Hope that helps
Lmao a while back I dm'd them and said they should make one with smartwatch options and they said "how would we even do that" and brushed me off so I got my smartwatch stands off Amazon and have thought these guys were dicks ever since. But the boxes are nice though.
I've got the WINDSOR DESIGN8 Drawer Wood Tool Chest. (yup cut and pasted that). It just barley holds my folding knives. I have a separate 26 space watch box. Ya, I have a problem.
