Hey, you might already have this but if you don't, could you make a video on how to effectively plan out shots and make the most out of preproduction when you can't location scout beforehand?
This has been extremely helpful, thank you very much for this. I feel quite intimidated when it comes to using the right sounds in my videos. I've subscribed and I'm going to dive into more of your videos 🤿
No it's not, this is sound design, we will be recording the sound videos soon we just have to line up our schedules with our sound recordist! Thanks for you patience!!
Wow @Mark Bone, your videos offer so much value and purpose for us indie filmmakers. Thank you. I wish I would've found your channel much sooner. I subbed and hit the bell! :) Cheers
Dope, that already teached a lot! Super interested in the entire course, hope that I will be able to join it in the winter. But almost 500$ is at the moment a full month income for me 😅 but christmas is coming (and christmas money)
Crikey $50 PM for Epidemic Sound. Is there a cheaper alternative? If budget is a concern it's probably far more viable to buy an Audio recorder and learn to design your own sounds
@@taunado artlist.io/sfx/ looks to be 1/2 that price. freesound.org/ is well free, you will have to read what you can use the sounds for. I do think recording your own sounds is a fun way of personalizing your videos :)
With Epidemic you can also buy single SFX which are just a dollar each. If you're pushing out films on the regular, a subscription is probably more cost effective, but for the occasional filmmaker that'll do just fine.
Good question, it's definitely quieter than the 2013. I'll do some comparisons and get back to you. I seems to trigger the fan much less often than compared to my laptop
I'm not sure if I have ever seen so many ads in one youtube video this length. :( Another thing, I haven't gone through the course yet, but what is the point to purchase it, when you release the same information on your channel for free?
We have over 50+ videos in the documentary and this is just sampling one of the 50. Also we have group coaching calls and a private Facebook community as well as downloadable content and podcasts that we will be uploading to the course. Lots of reasons to still purchase the course. :)
If I has the money, I'd buy the course, however for $400 I really would rather get a couple month subscription to skill-share, I do really want to get the course though, as this did help out more than I expected it to
The problem with all film sound is probably not the recording of it, but the post people who seem to think that MP3 sound is something to strive for. Pathetic. So far the DVDs I own are nothing more than 448 kbps which is MP3 quality. What happened to perfect sound forever at 1411 kbps (CD redbook quality)? It is no wonder by the time it gets to us, the viewer, most movies sound bad, if if streamed, it gets compressed even lower, probably not much ore than 128kbps, or less. Dolby Atmos at the most is 768 kbps so the jig is up about quality. why worry about 4K or 8K video with crappy sound. I have also heard that with many actors in whisper-mode you need 3:1 or 4:1 compression at -25db to get it all leveled out. Musch of this is not even done. Do people who master sound for film even listen to their work? ROKU is even worse.
U knw something...might hv heard i first time...but with ur face if u could add any meaninG TO THE VIDEO..i watched it for 4 minutes and u were still trying to get me to a point where u can stretch me for another 13 minutes...with only bla bla and not even a minute of information in the initial 4 minutes?
