I know I am years late but still I want to thank you for sharing this great way of making envelopes!! RU-vid recommended this video, and I put it to the test today and was really happy with the result. Finally a method that fits all sizes, without any supplies (okay, paper, a ruler and scissors :-)). Thank you for making this tutorial! I have found a few videos, and I feel like they are over complicated, or use tools and envelope makers. I just wanted a formula I could use for ANY letter or card I make. This is perfect! Take the diagonal measurement and add an inch. So easy! Thank you!

I'm so happy that you made this video. I have a small memory keepers envelope maker and scoring board, but I can't figure out how to use it. I was so frustrated because it looked so easy. Even I could use it you can only small square envelopes.

Thank you so much for this inspiring tutorial! Know what to do with all the 12 x 12 inch scrapbook paper, that has been sitting in the box way too long. I just did my first envelope, following your moves. The design and quality and look and feel of the envelope are wonderful. Scrapbook paper is of a good quality, the prints are beautiful. I just did not find any use for the paper, yet. I prefer white photo-pages and never got used to scrapbooking with scrapbook paper. ;-) This is why your video is a true gift for this beautiful stash of paper. Thank you! Thank you very much. In my case I had to reduce 1/2" inward on each side of the card in the middle because I want the flaps bigger when I attach to each other it overlaps nice and I put snap button to hold the sides and bottom flaps, and on the top flap I reduce 1" inward so that when I close the envelope the top flap covers well and meet the female snap in the middle of the middle flaps. I turned so cute my face mask envelope case/pouch in clear thick vinyl with black pearl snap to indicate for dirty face mask only. I wish I could find this heavy duty pearl snap in white to indicate case/pouch for cleaned mask only. I can't use the plastic snap for this project because it's 3 layers of thick vinyl to hold the middle 3 flaps.

Merci! StylHarmony! Two questions...where did you buy your measuring/cutter from, and your two sided tape...would you list those items? Second question: what do I use to seal the top portion of the card. My design will be used to sell to local retail stores, and the size of their cards are unusual, so I am not able to buy in bulk, but honestly would enjoy making them anyway. Thank you again...excellent video!

Hello Kim and thank you for the "Merci" that's so nice of you !! So as for the trimmer now I use a Stampin'up one, because it also has a scoring tool, so it's a 2 in 1 trimmer and scoring tool. For the double sided tape I used in this video it's the Glue Glitter Pro here : amzn.to/2F7AZiX , it has 3 or 4 different double sided tapes, from repositionable to Perma Tac witch is the strongest. Since I have changed and now use ATG gun here : amzn.to/2GRkxkm and buy the refills by bulk here : amzn.to/2ov5kyD this seller is great and he also offers different types of tapes. Why ATG, because when you use a lot of tape it is the most economical for me. To answer your third question I would like to know why you would want to seal your card , if I may ? Is it a painting if so with what, a drawing (with what)....??

for a square card should I measure 1" on both sides?

Hello. You just need to measure from 1 angle to the other and add 1 inch. That's it. Try it first with copy paper just to see how it works, it's easy. Maybe watch the video another time to understand the whole thing before doing it.
