I love that u don't go and buy special weights and just make it yourself with ingenuity. I have done the same with the jika/jig rig, flick shake, and a few others. Subbed for sure.

I'm gonna give that a try, I like the freedom that the bait has to move. FYI, take the ink cartridge out of a sharpie and you can use it as an O ring tool on the fly.

Good video bro. For weights I've used old shaky heads that have a screw lock and just cut the hook off. I run my hook facing away from the bait, so opposite of how you rigged it. Seen tactical bassin rig it like that years ago. His point was that way the plastic won't interfere with the hook. Either way will get er done though. Good luck with your give away.

hoopsheavenpa it could if your Bass are wanting something super finesse. For me it does better for me late post spawn when the bass don't want a aggressive bait and are eating things like shaky heads and drops shots. I've also heard of a lot of guys fishing them on beds.

Interesting setup. My biggest concern would be loosing a lot of the weight/screw locks. Could you run the line like for a Dropshot and run it through the eye of the hook and then down to the weight as a backup. Basically similar to a short Dropshot but you're forcing one end of the bait to stay on the bottom.

WindyCityBassin yeah if you wanted to. I've never had issues loosing a lot of weights no ore than when I throw a drop shot. I think the swivel just lets it swing where it needs to. I think the line would prohibit that action.

You can just buy screw locks. Owner, VMC, all the major terminal tackle companies make them.

You can adjust your bait color to match the water clarity. I've found it works best though on beds and clearer bodies of water.

30 Min Fisherman they are legit as they get. I flip braid with them all the time with no issue! Great video. For someone getting into more bass fishing and wanting to transition from spinning gear to a baitcaster, would you have a recommendation for a rod and reel in the under $150 range. For most versatile. I’m thinking 7’MH fast with a reel in the 6.3/1 range??

cretins the free swinging weight gives it a little bit different action. Also Beast Coast weight are extremely affordable. That weight I used was only .75

Great videos man. Im on a budget and cant afford to spend tons of money on tackle. I've become a beast coast fan. One more thing Alex have you heard of the new cast king craze? These reels look legit for the money. Have you tested these reels and if so whats your take. Cast king has come out with a assassin reel 6.3:1 carbon fiber reel for $60 on amazon.

Albert Cervantes I actually was sent a reel and did a review on it. The review was positive but the few weeks following the review the reel broke down. I ended up taking that review down because I didn't want people to buy a reel that would break. There are other people I know that have had more positive experience with the reels. I myself would just eBay shop. I have bought several $150+ reels for $99 or even cheaper.

you could keep a long tag end from the hook and put it thru the dropshot weight as if you were dropshoting. this will keep it all tied together and u won't lose your sinker..

I rig mine like that all the time and see no difference as long as you leave a little slack between the hook and sinker. Just enough line to make a small bow in the line when you're not pulling on the line!

Well I usually use the o rings like I said which saves me a lot of senkos. I don't know of any senkos that come in a laminate but I am sure there are some.

I like the rig you use, but I don't like the hook at the halfway point on the worm. I find it works better if the hook is only about a third of the way up from the worm's head. Sometimes less. I don't know anyone who hooks it at the halfway point. It seems to me that would make the Neko rig just a wacky rig with a weight in the head. But if it works, it works.

James Ritchie that's pretty much what a neko rig is suppose to be is a wacky rig with a weighted head. It's like combining a shaky head and a wacky rig.

Collins Bruer with nail weight you can't always get the weight that you want. With Beast Coast Tungsten the expense isn't that much. Plus I had everything in the boat I didn't have to go to the hard ware store. Thanks for watching!

I did think of that. But I primarily do this as a finesse presentation so a slow fall works good. You are right though. I will try this in deeper water. Thanks
