Thanks Ivan, this is great! You didn't talk about getting the key of the sample to make sure the rest of the sounds or bass / 808 are tuned to harmonize with the samples.
Y'all right with everything you said. Sample One XT and Impact XT needs a tons of update. I stopped using them when I tried TAL Sampler and there Drum vst, bro... those plugins are hitting hard and sounds vintage, cross fading, saturation, clipper, different time stretching algorithm and to end the story, they can even downsample in any form without dragging the PC. I hope presonus does something on there sampler's.
Great video! I personally use Serato Sample. I know it's not native but it works really well and sometimes getting the right tool for a specific job saves time and flow in the long run.
Just a thought on chopping the sample in Impact. As you change the length with follow tempo on, it may be adjusting the tempo of the sample so that the new smaller sample takes up the same length as the original sample. That would mean it would slow the smaller sample down to cover the lounger period of time. I don’t know if that’s the right way to do it or not, but in some cases it may be what someone wants. Always great information working in Studio One. And, yes, I believe updates are coming. Software development takes time, and beta testing extends that time.
I use the track to record samples and then use Presence Editor to save as patches - and you can set loop points in Presence. So easy - don't know why more don't do this. I never use Sample One!

Steinberg is so far ahead of Studio One for sampling, Halion is literally they best soft sampler out and Groove Agent is also very robust, Studio Ones plugins may aswell be freeware in comparison. For sampling yiu definitely want Cubase.
When you chop the audio how can you resave the individual chops as new audio? It’s driving me nuts,then you can chuck the individual audio into the sampler and you got full control on each chop
with artificial intelligence... translate your videos into audio, put them in Latin Spanish or Spain and create, a playlist of the Spanish version and you will have many Spanish-speaking audiences ... it would be super cool...🤯
Hello, i am quite new to Studio one, and i have a question i dont know where to ask, so i do it here :) . Sometimes i am not able to prelisten samples i want to add in impact, And i have no idea why, and what i have to change, or what is different. Because in some projects it works and in others it doesnt. So specified again, when i want to put individual samples by "add sample" and browse my own drumsamples and i want to listen to it before adding them sometimes i hear them, and in other projects i can click the "play"-symbol, it counts the time, but i dont get sound. Any help ? Thanks in advance !
That method is really good for drum loops with clear transients but from my experience it rarely ever creates usable chops for melodic loops. On top of that it doesn't create crossfades so each chop usually ends up with some sort of pops and clicks at the start/end.
