How do you record your videos? Do u need separate software?

Yes, you do need separate software for it. I use OBS, which is completely free, and very easy to set up 😊

What's the quality on older macbooks with usb2 connections?

To be honest, it’s not quite as good! When using USB2, you’re not able to get the uncompressed format, and quality does suffer a bit! I only tried it once when I was setting it up, but I remember it being pretty pixelated 😕
